    Transcript:

so I'm so excited to show you how to warp a large beadloom in order to make a
big project like a hatband or a choker or a necklace or
even if you want to use a large Loom to make many projects
at one time which is a lot of fun and definitely
saves time so I'm going to show you how to set up the loom specifically for a
hatband and what you would do to warp it and so let's do
it all right all right so this is a large beading
Loom and this one is the large wisdom
Warrior and she's a good 25 Ines long
let me get my tape measure out and you can see we've got 25 Ines to bead and
usually a hatband is somewhere in that 22 to 24 in length this Loom also has a
4 in let's come up a little a 4 inch wide beading area so that would be quite
the project okay um in case you're wondering
hey Jules what's a warp let me show you what that is I will go ahead and scooch
this Loom over for a hot minute and I'll bring one in that actually has been
warped and one where I've already started to do the seed bead work so
let's get up because we almost have invisible invisible warps so let's get a
good shot okay there we go so you can see these are the warps and they go all
the way down your loom it's really funny they're almost
like these invisible strings always fun trying to get them on
camera here but the warps go from the top of your loom all the way
down all the way down to the bottom there you go you can kind of see that a little bit better there see how they're
all wrapped around so those are your warp
threads and even though the loom is 4 in
wide when I'm making one item like a hatband
I will warp right down the center it just makes it so much easier to control
the warp threads so without further Ado let's go ahead and put that one to the
side and I'll bring in our large Loom and I am working with
Wildfire now I'm working with a black one because as you could see with the green it's um it's a little light so
hopefully we'll get a little bit more contrast with the block but I'll just keep bringing it up to the camera for
you now I am working from the spool and I'm just going to lay that
down and by the way let me just give you some some points of reference okay this
is my left hand and this is my right hand and the
loom is actually right in front of me now if I were doing this without trying
to tell the story to you as well I probably would have the loom kind of
tucked under my arm okay and I probably I might even be able
to do this the way that I normally do it let's see if that works and then I'll just bring it up to the camera so right
now this part of the Loom in my right hand are tucked underneath my arm and so
I'm going to take the Wildfire this is the end of the wildfire and I'm going to take
that and I'm going to make a couple of knots I've I've um put it under the
button so it's kind of like a knob actually
oops and we're just going to give that you know just be patient you're working
with a very big Loom and you've got a lot of
thread okay so I do believe that was my oh it went right under there it's really
locked in there okay and so what I'm going to do now next is and let me just
bring it up to the camera for you okay so I'm going
to I'm going to grab the wildfire and you see how see how I kind of like came
in with my hand and I'm just going to lay it
down into one of the grooves and we've got like the Angelic Mist going
on obviously the beating Angels wanted to be with us today and they are here in
full force and so I've just laid let's
see I feel like you could hopefully see it so that first bit of thread is laying
into one of the grooves and then I'm just going to come back down so that
I can um make sure that I'm doing this correctly I'm just taking a good look
right now it's actually laying in the groove so we're good and I'm going to keep the
tension right so you see how I kind of like bring my loom up and
forward and then I could take my my left pointer here this is my
pointer and if I wanted to I could I could definitely use
it as some you know to hold that down and and again it's such a new dance
right when you're working with a large Loom I mean she's 25 inches long so
you're learning how to maneuver her and and you know where it's going to go and
so you just need to take some time and you want to do your best to
keep that first warp nice and taut you want to have like that little strum
okay and then what we're going to do is we're just going to eyeball it I don't want you to like get all oh my gosh how
am I ever going to count all you got to do really and we do this on the original jewel loom as well the smaller Loom we
just do like an eyeball when we're not beating the entire surface okay so I
feel like this is really tight and now here's the little the little thing that I do that I
feel really helps to keep the tension um very tight on this particular
Loom especially since it's what I would say is like a flat Loom with a really
long base versus Say the original Jew Loom that has that you know that that
warped um little physique of hers you know she's always in that bent type of
um position so what I'm going to do now let's see I think we got a good shot
on the back on the bottom knob here and you could see I'm just holding
with my right hand I'm holding that
wildfire and I got good warp right there and I want to keep it want to keep it so
I'm G to take my left hand and I've got my pointer on the top of the beading
grid this is the beading grid and it's just helping me to keep the wildfire
from moving and then I'm going to take my right hand and I'm going to go around
that back button that bottom button just a couple of times all right and then
    let's go
down okay that's good that's good stuff all right now and this is gonna be I'm
like I'm having to I'm going to have to move around here so we don't want to
skip any grooves when we using the 110 seed beads and that's what I'm going to
be using I want to make sure so let's see it's I want to make
sure that you see the dance I'm doing okay so right now here's the Wildfire it's way over here right and I got to
get it over here so I'm going to take the left thumb see the left thumb and I
I'm I scooch it over to the left over here and then I'm
laying I'm going to lay that Wildfire down into the next Groove carefully
release that thumb okay and now I'm coming all the way up take your time I'm
going to go ahead and even stand up okay and then I'm going to do the
same thing over here I'm going to lay it down into that Groove and then this is my
right hand over here that's like a little wiggle wiggle and if I want for Giggles I can wrap it around that that
button let's see if I can get you in the shot there wrap it around the button the
knob and then the same thing is I want to come back over
here and I want to lay the wildfire in the next Groove and
you could see like I'm always I'm the left hand the left
fingers all right this is my left is always helping to guide the Wildfire so
it's like a team effort here and then we're just going to go down and let's scooch this big
girl let's scooch her over and looking good whoop looking good
almost took the overhead out and then I'm going to lay it down again
I don't want to skip any grooves because I'm using those little those little
11os so let's come up to the camera I'm going to pause for a hot minute here so you can see what's going on
visually okay Wildfire is in every Groove because I'm using 11 o and then
I'm going to take the wildfire and at this point I I feel I feel like you don't necessarily
have to wrap around that button again I'm going to encourage you to warp
this Loom a few times I just want you to play around with the idea of how do I
warp it what does it feel like what do my hands need to be doing what's the left hand doing what's the right hand
doing um you know it what's my brain doing really
because I want you to stay focused when you're warping the large Loom it's very important so I feel like at this point I
don't necessarily need to go back around the button I feel like I can continue the process of warping and so
again left thumb is going to come in here and it's a partner it's my little
beady buddy and I'm G to just want to eyeball
it make sure I'm actually in the groove I also just want to say that um I
would highly recommend that you have sufficient lighting
and I um and so yeah and so
I like I said the Angelic Shadows decided to be with us
today and so I've I've turned my life lighting down low to give you the best
visual and so you see how I'm just kind of maneuvering with the loom let me see
if I can't oh yeah can you
see the warps I think you can I can see them so
hopefully hopefully you're able to see them as well okay so going to lay that back down
and again so now I'm back up at the top and watch my hand because I'm kind
of I've got to like I'm I'm holding the Wildfire with my left hand right now okay so it's
pinched in between my pointer finger and my thumb and so I want to take control
with my right hand and so I'm going to grab the wild
fire okay and and so see how I'm like doing this dance this is this is where I
feel Mo most comfortable it's like I have it in my fist and I'm my thumb my right thumb is
like ready for the action and then I'm just using that
thumb let's come up here okay see how I'm holding it see how
I'm holding the Wildfire I've got the pressure on my thumb this is why I do
not not have a thumb finger now okay and then I've
lost I've lost s oh there we go there we go all right so I got it into the groove
and then I can bring my pointer my left pointer which is a which is my finger
right I can bring that into the game here and put it on top of the bead grid
and wrap it around the button and again I think at this point after I think we
have four or five warps right now I I feel like we're okay I don't feel like
we have to wrap it around the button until we're done completely
warping I can't quite tell yep there we go okay so again I'm just going to guide
the Wildfire all the way back down the large
Loom and all the way to the bottom
okay that's looking really good and then I just want to scooch up a little and so
at this point um if I were doing um if I were warping the loom
to create a thicker hat band so like right now this is going to accommodate
one two three four beads across because I have
five warps um the pattern that I've been working on has I believe
13 beads across so I would want 14 warps
so it's always one more warp thread than the beads then the pattern calls for to
go across okay 13 across on your beads equals 14
warps and um something is telling me that I need to do one more warp just to
kind of help you guys out so and and you know what here this is good I'm glad I'm
glad I'm getting the the little warping Angels telling me do one more do one
more okay so see where the warp is okay that's the warp right there that
I just brought all the way down to the bottom and I'm going to bring it it it
seems most natural in this moment in this move in this case
to take the wildfire and come under that button and I do believe that
intuitively you will know whether to go under or over um and so in that moment
there I could tell that it wanted to go under now here I come here's my left
hand here's my pointer and see how I'm just helping to guide the wildfire and I
could just lay it down into the groove again there's like it's a twoand thing
going on folks and so you really you really want to be
um working with your left hand working with your right hand really using your brain staying
focused and um yeah and and you're just you're going to get it with practice it
just it just takes a little time with a larger Loom and so I'm just want to
bring this up you see that when I when I let go with my right hand I've always
got my my buddy over here my left hand ready to take over if needed so I'm
going to bring that up and then lay it down into the
groove okay and then I'm coming under the button and we'll just do one more we'll
do one more war and see here goes that motion here goes that that motion might be different for
you by the way that's just what speaks to me and and so again it's like left hand
right hand brain and so I'm just going to take the Wildfire I sandwich it like
in my fist I've always got that left hand ready and then I'm going to lay
    this down whoops using that
left using that left pointer right there and just making sure it's
in in the grooves and then I'm going to bring it all the way
down did you hear that nice little
strum okay and then we're going to wrap it around the back and I'm going to wrap
wrap it around a few times just do it a few times until you get to the point
where you're like oh I feel really confident after I wrap it twice that I can keep a grip on the wildfire and that
I can now not um you know make my knot okay so I'm
just going to come over here um we're going to cut it off of the spool what I
would say to you in the beginning is just cut a piece that will allow you to
manipulate it into a knot you know don't
um you know don't cut it so short that then you're frustrated because you can't get your knot and you know and and maybe
in the beginning too maybe you're not working with beating thread like wildfire maybe you just you get some
floss or something that is less expensive so that um you don't waste
it's tot your call but I believe in you I know you can do it and so I'm just I
just really any way that you can get the knot done just get the knot done and so
I took the end of the Wildfire I put it behind the warps and now I'm just going to come
through this loop with the hope that I get a nice a nice knot
going all right and then just get it off of my finger there oh nice nice job
Jules oh look at that nice job okay Hey listen even I sometimes you
know like have to do something over and stuff
happens right so um and so I'm just going to make a
couple couple knots here I'm super stoked about this this is looking really really great and I just know that you're
going to do a really great job too so let's bring this up to the
camera okay whoops let's so you see how that
looks all right and so you got your warp threads and you know you could you could
have even centered this if you if you knew you were going to do something skinny right like a skinnier piece um I
could have really just gone down the center but I wanted to show you how you
can just offset the warp somewhat and
um and uh and and get your piece going so all
right so we're just going to go all the way down here so that you can see the
top and so there is your large Loom completely warped ready to beat on
    for
so why don't we come up here for a moment and I'll let you know what we're going to do
next there you are so the length yep yep the length of
the Loom is 25 Ines long by 4 in uh wide and so it's perfect for like
hatbands and chokers and other long items that you might want to make so I
hope that I hope that helps um Ruth this is called the large wisdom
Warrior by the way and so um she came out in July of
20 21 and all the creative Soul members got
her first and so and so it was lovely and now there's many of them out there
so yeah oh look it you can see you can see the warps
up a little bit so again if you've never warped a
loom this big whoa where'd she go look it see she takes up the whole thing if you've never warped a loom this
big then I I just want you to practice I just want you to practice and truth be told in July of
2021 I was really really sick really sick and I had to get these shipped out
to all of the creative Soul members and I was
like I love you figure it out
because I was sick sick sick if you know what I mean and so and so was really kind of
fun because they because the creative Soul members got the loom and then it was it was like a crash course
in you know what do we do and so everyone has just done a fantastic job
of um designing with the loom and over the years we have just made we've made
some really cool hatbands and um and so yeah it's been a lot of fun so I just
thought that I would take it to the next level and actually show you
um the Sedona hatband that I am working on it's this
pattern right here um it is a kit that is in the jewel loom shop there are a
few left and so if you are interested in that I would grab it while it's still
around um it comes with the 246 tubes of
too size 11 beads um it comes with a
really nice silver big hold bead so for your
cord um when you're finishing your hatband and it comes with a piece of
faux leather okay it's not fancy it's not exciting if you want real leather I
would highly recommend that you get that um we stopped stopped
putting in into the kit because price of leather just like went through the roof and it was just making the kit very
expensive and so um so you have the beads and you'll have a hard copy of the
pattern and it's actually a course as well so if you buy the kit then I will
put you into the course so that you get you get more help all right so I don't
know um were there any questions about warping Joan that you felt I needed to
um speak to or are we okay to just do a little
beating I got the thumbs up from the queen back there all right so once again
um if you want to take me down and what I'm going to do in this
situation if you just give me a hot minute here let's see if it will be as
simple as turning the camera cu I'm curious as to why we're
only getting a little bit of the frame um Joan can you bring me back up for
just a minute okay great so let me just see if
I can't um I want to go there we go awesome sauce
okay and I also want to come down a little see we're our own little
Production Studio here so we have to do what we got got to do and if you want
um let me just bring these two examples in here really
quick I wanted to match the Sedona Hab is embroidery thread good to use I
mean you could totally play with that Ruth I always say you
know try it and if it's something that you feel works well for you I
mean embroidery thread so the only thing that's coming
to my mind right now about embroidery thread is because of the texture of it will it
spray in the grooves I know it gets really super
super thin and so I would say I would just play with it and see what your
experience is like so but this is this is a finished
hatband right here and so this is the back side of it this is where we're um
doing the finishing work here's your your bead you know that comes in the kit
this was the Papa Joe uh fish hatband that we did in honor
of my father and I just love this one so much
and this is just a really and Ruth this might be so Ruth this is what's called
hemp cord this is um a really thin hemp if I'm not mistaken this is
5.5 I don't think it's one it might be one because see floss is pretty
embroidery thread is pretty pretty thin but you can see that you could make a hatband that would be um with
traditional seed beads and bigger beads in just like one row
so I love these two things together they just like they just make me happy on a
hat so okay um when I'm I think we're okay to go go down so I just wanted to
go over you know a little bit of the process of doing a pattern um we'll just
be here for a little bit and I'm going to bring in my little mat over
here and I've got all these colors that I'm working with and I have my
pattern and so I did finish yep I
finished this row right here so I would be going into the next
row and it's good to have like you know something to block out all the other
rows let me just show you this right so you could use like a piece
of copy paper or just something to help you a ruler let me get in the camera
that would be helpful something you know to help you guide each row because if
you try to look at the pattern in in one visual you will get overwhelmed so I'm
just going to use the little bit of faux leather that comes in the kit and I'm going to cover up the rest of the row so
that I can focus on the next row which is actually this one right here okay so
so let's put this to the side where I can see it and I
um oops I'm actually going to open this up a little bit all right there we go so the other
side of the pattern and I'm going to bring this down so this would be and let
me get positioned so I really want you to understand how you would work with such a big Loom my chair does have arms
so there's some something um right now this Loom is
tucked underneath my my arm so I'm kind of like
holding it not so much like a baby but maybe a football so so it's tucked
underneath my arm I have my right hand is right here and this is my left hand
and my pattern is over here to the left of me you might like to have your pattern to the right this is going to be
a total personal choice and so I have
the beads and I'm just going to sprinkle some out here really quick so we have
    a really pretty green
whoops see when you don't have a thumbnail anymore so let's get some greens out
those are Gorge and then we're going to get get some of these really pretty
ones out here and then I just kind of put them in the position that I might be
picking them up from um and this is really pretty this is a
cobbler this is called the Sedona hatband this was designed by
Brandy um Frasier Fletcher oh my gosh he's going
to knock me upside the head because I just said that Brandy is my lifelong friend um she's
literally a rock star a silver smith a beater a pattern maker she has got the
most beautiful voice she's just like Stevie ni just a gorgeous gorgeous
voice and oh that's a good idea Liam okay and
then we just got some of the pretty Blues hair isn't this a beautiful palette so pretty I love sprinkling the
beads in front front of you because I just think they're pretty all right so I've already got my um my needle
threaded I'm using the Green wildfire the um the wildfire and the
needle are in my left hand right now and I'm going to bring everything
underneath underneath the warps and I'm going to transfer the
needle over into my right hand
and then I'm going to look at the pattern and I can see that the first bead I'm picking
up is a let me see I want to just get my loom a little more steady here and I'll
bring that back into view um so I need to pick
up one of these beautiful green beads and then we're going to go for a
peach and the pattern is telling me what colors to pick up all right so we've got
that and then we are going to go to a pretty mauve
colored and I'm just going to make sure yep they're going to go over the eye of the needle and then I need three I need
three more greens okay so we got got one and I'm a scooper I like to scoop my
beads up onto the needle okay and then we need a d a d is
the pumpkin this is so gorgeous and then we're going to go back
    to one [Music]
two three and then a pretty
mauve whoa come on now and then
C is that gorgeous cobbler and back to
a which is the green and so we're going to let all those beads I'm just going to
help guide them all the way
all the way down and then I'm going to bring my left hand in okay I'm bringing
my left hand in and I'm letting those beads rest on my fingers and then very
carefully I'm just going to pop those up and in between the
warps okay so you really want to make sure that each bead I'm going to bring it up to the camera for you make make
sure each bead is nice and secure and in the
warps I'm going to let that uh rest on my left
pointer and I'm going to make sure they're nice and even and then I'm going to take the needle and I'm going back
through the beads and you really got to make sure that you're on top of the warps if
you're not on top of the warps when you're going back through the beads
and it's it's kind of interesting because it's another one of those like mind um
hand things where I can feel the
needle going with pressure more on that the top of that bead does that make
sense like I'm literally consciously putting the needle through
the beads and I'm I'm feeling that the needle is really pushing up to the beads
right um so that's just perhaps one of my little things and maybe that will
work for you and then we're going to pull through and I see that Stacy asked
um if we you know you you said do you have to work from right to left I've
never not worked from right to left I do believe that there are people that work from left to right and so um I would say
    are you a left these
days okay and so once again I'm going to come under the warps I just
transferred my um wildfire and my needle to my right hand and because I have so
much thread I'm just really helping to guide it with my with my left hand right
here and I'm going to go back let's see where were we
we did that and then we did that and then we're going to go here okay so once again all right we're going to
pick up two I'm going to pick up two
green two green and we're going to pick up a peach scooping them up scooping them up
and then we're going to pick up a mauve and another green
and then we've got pumpkin and oh and then we got Glazer
this is most gorgeous blue okay come on now and another
    pumpkin and we got another
green come on yeah Leos have very tiny little holes
    and then we've got mauve
    again and we have Peach
again and then we have two
greens okay and so we're going to let
    those slide all the way
down okay and so you can see the beads are all the way down here and then I bring in my left
hand and we're just going to line them up again into the little warps and you
can you can hear them snapping like there's this um precious little bead
snap like they're tucking themselves into the warps which is what we want
oops Got a stray this little guy is like no I don't want to go okay okay there we are
fantastic so you could see how I'm um how I'm pushing up with my my pointer
finger let me bring this up to the camera so I'm really holding that row
with my you know with my pointer finger I'm letting it rest on that
and then I'm going to take the needle and we're going to go back through the r
row and again we're gliding on top of you don't want to come
out yet so I'm going to bring that up to the camera okay so we're on top of the
warps and then we're going to now what happens if you're not on top
of the warps anybody guess any guesses
if you are not on top of the warps your beads will literally
fall and so thank you thank you thank you we were on top of the
warps okay so basically you're just going to
keep working on your seed bead pattern
until it's completely done um it if I work on a pattern
consistently um I think I did the high desert hatband in I want to say
two two settings so I might have done like 12 Ines and then another 12
Ines and you know it just depends on how fast you you can go and or want to go
because you don't really want to make any mistakes when you're working on a pattern um and so you know I think it was maybe
it might have taken me like five hours or something so you know hatbands are are a
little time consuming but they're absolutely gorgeous when when they are
done so let me do one more Row for you these are size 11 too
beads and so we're going to pick up we're g to pick up where'd you go
there you are the little green guys we hiding okay so we're going to pick up
three whoops so we got three come on
now there we go we have three green and we've got got a
    cobbler so
pretty and we have a pretty mauve almost looks like a
lavender and then so what is that five beads okay and then we've got a
pumpkin and a gorgeous blue and another pumpkin
and then we go back to this pretty
mauve and pretty cobbler and then three
more okay and then we're going to let those
fall and again left hand right hand
and the loom is still tucked underneath my arm it's like laying next to my chest
tucked underneath and I'm just going to bring this down a hair here and so we've
got another row ready to go up and in between the warps and I'm kind of like
pinching right so I've taking my Pinchers and I'm pinching those little
beads up and in between the warps and it looks
good and then again letting them rest on my pointer and then taking the
needle and going back through and I could see I can see let me
see if you can see do you see a little bit of the silver kind of might be a
little bit harder for you but I can see the Silver Needle gliding so I know that
    it's on top
of the warp okay so once again we're going to pull that
through thank you Zach it's really a beautiful pattern and I really want to get this hat pan complete it's taking
taking a little bit longer but so beautiful so beautiful so there's three
rows let me let me bring this all up to the camera with both of my hands
now and so you can see the warps there you
can see how I focused on warping the
middle of the Loom versus struggling with going all the way over to the side
and I don't really like to use that word but um you know basically if you don't
need to come all the way over to one side of the Loom you know give yourself
you know a break and focus on just warping in the area that you need to so
we've got our gorgeous warps they look beautiful um you do want to
consider where you're starting your pattern because I wonder if I so like
you see that I came down about an inch and a half that could even be 2 in so I am at 23 in if I keep going all
the way down so I really need to be conscious of aware of how long do I want
my hatband to be so since I started down I'm going to
have to deal with it right but I think I'm pretty good because you've got 25 total inches and a
hatband can be anywhere from 22 to 24 in long so um
let's see here I just want to bring it up as close as I can without it going
blurry so good stuff so I will continue to work on my Sedona hatband off camera
and Joan if you want to go ahead and bring me up I can take some of the questions that I'm seeing
so Ruth says thoughts on using uneven seed beads on a
loom uneven meaning different sizes or
different Origins like an 110 check bead is definitely going to be
different than an 11 o too so you're going to have a Vari
there for sure um which is even different than like a
myuki um your you can so let me let me let me see if I
hear you correctly so what I think I would say is are are you speaking to
using different sizes and types of
beads like we do that a lot um where we'll set up the warps to
accommodate say an inch long bugle bead six mm
beads eight O's maybe even some three
O's is that kind of what you're thinking like when you say thoughts on using uneven seed beads oh Jones
got I think what she's saying because I done this a couple times before I think I buy this Tu with SE beads thinking oh
wow this is a good price oh they're cheap and they're not uniform in
size oh I got you okay she some will be a little bit longer than others you know
they're all like supposed to be all 11 o for you know in yeah P come different
forms yeah so I want to um I mean okay so let me here let me
let me let me bring let me get a little closer to the
situation okay all right Ruth are you kind of referring to maybe this
situation where we went from doing seed beads into like one big
bead I just see yes but I don't think it's yes to this
I it looks like the same seed beads until you dump them out and then you start seeing they're not uniform in size
yeah and I think that happens a lot when you use seed beads from that are that
are from China right like I would say Chinese seed beads that you can buy at
the mass Market are a great price but they're not always
great quality right just like why we a lot of us jewelry designers will stick
with a Japanese seed be like a too or a mayuki um however the cck seed beads are
they're they're coming they might be coming for Japan I
don't know but they're doing a really great job and we're actually using cck seed beads in the creative Soul patterns
that Danielle is designing and they're Gorge I mean they're like straight up
gorgeous and they're beautiful and they're uniformed in size so um yeah I
mean I think Ruth listen I'm I'm All About expression so I'm
never gonna say that somebody's uh choice in beads or
whatever is wrong or that it doesn't look right so and I'm a Storyteller so
maybe the idea of using beads that are not consistent in the way that they look
is maybe that's part of the story right who doesn't have a chapter in their
life when their story right was kind of like all over the place and not very
uniformed so I really think it depends on what you're shooting for if you're submitting a beaded bracelet to the fair
that it's going to be judged then you want that piece to be perfect you want
it to be perfect in style finishing all of
that um and so and so yes by all means Ruth I love that you're a beginner you
are in my heart that's what this I love this use what you have what Loom do you
have let me know which Loom you have um yeah don't I always say like don't go
spending a lot of money on an on an expression
artwise that you don't know whether or not you're going to love it so you know I tell people to start with the baby
Loom um if they've never beaded then the original jewel loom and then from there
a lot of people usually grow into the wood looms or there are people who are just like straight up I want a wood Loom
so um so you have the baby awesome yeah perfect perfect so I want you to play
around oh sorry about that I the wrong button I just I just want to add if
she's trying to keep it uniform like if she's usually 11 o she might want it when it she has a little bit shorter one
or whatever she might keep some 15 no on hand to fill in like we do when we use different size um mix it up yeah that's
great and um and there's another I even made a pattern and it ended up being wavy on the sides because the beads were
slightly different and it was a really cool effect so you might want to might like the wavy instead of it all being
straight across and I'm all in for that you know I don't I I think there's
different ways that we create if we're makers and we're selling our finished items then we want
the piece to be uniformed we want it to be finished very well and clean um and
there are things that we're going to look for right and and so but if we're
just starting we're going to use what we got we're going to start with the baby jewel loom and you know maybe the
original jewel loom either or that's where I would start and you're going to use the stash that you have or the beads
that you picked up at the you know store for a great price and um so now I know
why you asked about you know the embroidery thread I say practice with the things that are before
you and see if the art of weaving speak
to you and then if it speaks to you and you really are loving that Soulful dance of
going back and forth and just chilling then advance from there but I
think you're totally on the right track I totally support you in all your choices that you're making right now
they're perfect they're the way that I would go if I were a total beginner and I want you to check in so now you have
to tell me how you're doing I don't know if you're in the free Facebook group but that's a good place
to be in for encouragement and help and you can also um join the texting
Community it's a free texting community so you're you're able to uh to reach out
and and let me know from there if you need help and by the way if you're not signed up for the juw loom
newsletter it's really a conversation that I use that tool to
have a conversation with the community that signs up for the newsletter and when you
do you get three free seedbead patterns so Ruth if you're not signed up
to the newsletter um I would definitely do that you're going to get three free seed bead patterns you're going to get
15% off your first order and maybe you've already done that which I would love to know but um yeah that's a great
opportunity to practice with your patterns and um and
they're free you just sign up for the newsletter and again it's it's a tool that I use to really communicate with
you for many different reasons we don't sell your um information so you can be
safe with us so a Ruth says thank you encouraging love to share yay I love
it I love it hey it just takes time like I didn't you know 30 years I don't even
know what is it 30 years ago when I when I wasn't a beater you know so when I I
saw my um bestie Tiffany elen's daughter working on a loom making bracelets and I
was like oh I need to learn how to do that so
yeah so it all comes with time you you advance some people don't even start with beads they'll start off with like
yarn and they'll just do um a fiber you know they'll do fiber for their warps
and fiber for their for their WS which when you saw me picking up the seed beads a I say weaving a lot but the
technical word is Ws so you have your warps and you have your ws and Stacy I want to know if you need
help in regards going left to right or right to left I would just say again I'm
not too sure which Loom you have but you want to practice and the loom can be in
front of you or it could be like side to side um Everybody kind of works with it
differently so anyway I really hope that this helped you I really I know that
there's a lot of large wisdom Warrior Loom owners out there and um I hope that
that dance of left hand right hand brain you know moving the loom forward back
    award it's a process you're you're warping something very large it's not
the baby Loom it's not the original jewel loom it's a large beading Loom so
and somebody said something about making belts yes I mean just so much fun with a large Loom so many things you can do so
anyway I hope you have a beautifully blessed um even okay Stacy really quick
just curious I'm a righty I bought both your kit and the Larch
okay I are you just okay I love that I love that so Stacy bought the um large
wisdom Warrior kit and the um original
original Jill Loom right I bought both your K yeah okay got it awesome and
Harley said she's a lefty so you're just going to reverse listen I don't do it from right to left because I'm a
right-handed person honestly it's just the way I was taught 30 years ago and so
and the way that I do do it I've had left-handed people say are you left-handed and I'm like no I'm right-handed so I think try it the way I
teach it and then if you're just like oh this feels weird then and then do it in
the way that it feels right so any who all right um
I if you have any questions email me text me join the free Facebook group and
