Healing Power of Art & Wow Designs with Secret Technique

Jewelry Making, which is a craft form, is made through creativity. You can use creativity as meditation to help with grief, whether it is due to a loss of a family member, friend, relationship, home, job, etc. In this tutorial, Julianna C Avelar uses the Eileen Hull Loom to show how to make a meditative piece, which can be used to decorate a scrapbook, box, etc., or even can be used as a pendant or extended to make a bracelet. Eileen joins Jewels to discuss the project, with Eileen saying how she turns her paper loom project into a bracelet, & also points out how we can learn from other's creativity. As part of this tutorial, Jewels also shows a secret technique to Wow your papercraft projects & jewelry projects.

In the Grief part of this tutorial, Jewels explains how to set up the Eileen Hull Loom, using Hemptique Hemp, & the beads she used on the base. You can also use 6/0 or 8/0 seed beads for the base, but will need to adjust the width between your warps. If you want to only see the set up of the loom & beginning of the project, start watching at 19:10 mark & 33:40 mark. Watch this part below.

Learn to Wow not only your paper crafts, but also your jewelry loom pieces, with this secret technique. Learn by watching below.

    Transcripts Video 1:

you oh I can hear you sorry wait let me mute me I'm trying to uh oh my goodness
welcome welcome alrighty so this is and it's kind I don't know if I'm seeing uh
comments or not so this is kind of interesting but um yeah there we go all right so we're
gonna we're gonna do that oh my goodness so we were um hey
hey this is just a little bit different than normal um we are gathering uh today
for the jewo school live to really speak to the idea of
healing through the Arts healing through creativity and what that might look like
what does that even mean and so Joan uh the jul LOM conier and a special uh
friend of ours is uh they're hanging out in the background and so we were just sharing stories and and laughing and so
um it's been it's it's been uh quite an interesting seven to 10 days has it not
uh and so all throughout the country we've been dealing with some things and here in the jewelry Community we um we
    just lost a a bright
    shiny sassy um vibrant
vivacious sweetheart generous kind hysterical woman and she was Janes
bestie and and as you can imagine Jones Janes heart is just all over the place
and um and so there's just been so much for many of us that has happened you
know this year and right now we're dealing with people also in the art
community um in the Carolinas I do know that there was specifically an art community and maybe
somebody can help me out with the name of that I I forget what it was called but it was quite a big big community of
art artists and you know there's just a lot going on right there's people missing there's people who have died
there's just it's really hard to watch and and then we have our own personal loss with our with our gender and um
so I remember when I lost my Portuguese grandma and it was
right right after the north rid no no it was right
before Oh my gosh it was either right before the North Ridge earthquake or right after and I was just saying like
since 2020 I've kind of like lost lost time but um regardless when my
Portuguese Grandma did pass away I I was beating you know like I had a loom um
and I gathered all of the things that reminded me of her she was an she was
Earthly she was a gardener a farmer a
Rancher um just an incredible woman and so this this pet you know of all of
these gorgeous greens and and Browns reminded me of her and so I stayed up
until like 3:00 in the morning sewing sewing weaving um this this gorgeous
bracelet to really just kind of help me with my own grief and obviously I
couldn't sleep and so you know being able to gosh how many years so I do
believe the earthquake the big one that was 93 Northridge and this
is 24 so what are we talking like 30 some years is that incredible like something
that you can you can touch and feel and you can look at it and um how did I you
know I'm thinking from product standpoint what did I weave this with because this is like pretty gnarly uh
strong strong um material I this is back in the day when we used a combination of
fishing line honest to goodness fishing line and Nyo and so uh regardless it's
just it's great it's beautiful it's my grandma I I keep it close by and um you
know it's it's everything that she was right so you know when when you talk about
grief you know I think that the word grief in the dictionary should be roller
coaster of emotions you know right Joan and I were talking about like the guilt
that comes with grief with somebody close to us that passes
right like when my dad passed I felt like I should have saved him and I went
through like a little period of time there where I really felt like oh my God
you know like why didn't I save him like like how was I gonna do that right
and and so um you know that is something that I think is
really normal it's like a it's like a process of all these different emotions that you go you know like you feel
guilty and you and then you're pissed right like you're like being pissed is
really quite um an emotion right you're like mad you're mad because that that
happened right so you're mad and you're sad and you're feeling guilty and then you're you um you know you you also know
that they're in a much better place um and then you just you're kind of like in this repetitive circle of emotion um and
and grief is it can look so differently right it can be literally that we've
lost a person in our life like they have literally passed on and and you know
can't pick up the phone to call them you're not going to see them necessarily right so you know there's there's that
but then there's also grief uh from relationships
right that don't that don't work out and that could be with a significant other it could be with a friend um there's the
loss and the grief of work you know right before I got on here one of my
really really longtime industry friends just posted that she got laid off and
and you know and I can say this because she posted it publicly she said you know
so much for five years or something like that and and so we're we're in the we're in the pissed we're in the mad we're in
the mad right and so it'll all evolve and eventually you know doors will open
and gosh there was like a few hundred people who were just like cheering for her and they were just like dude they're
lost like you're G to shine now this like boom but there's going to be that
period of time for her that she's going through um where you have all kinds of different feelings you feel you feel um
thrown under the bus you feel um tossed out you feel abandoned you feel
everything that doesn't feel good right when that kind of grief happens when you
when you lose a job when you lose a business deal um that's all like really
normal kind of stuff and so I think I think the um you know I think too that when you
look at what's going on in in on the East with the hurricane coming through
that level of grief is something I can't I can't even put my head around I
don't think any of us can and um you know that is you know a lot of people
haven't heard from their loved ones a lot of people um they're animals oh you
know I know that we're just like a whole entire Community here like of lovers of fur babies and you know when when
they're looking for their horses and I know they just found like a dog in a tree he was alive um and you know
so yeah grief it's tough It's so tough and it's so deep and it hurts and um
creativity creativity has been something for me personally a way for me to
express myself to just calm down now I'm
not saying in in any way shape or form right that making a
bracelet cured the world or like you know took all of that pain away but what
it did do from you know I was living in Loke I had to drive to Oxnard I get to
my grandma's house and I'm sitting there and you know and and there's nobody you
know Grandma's not coming around the the corner saying you weedy you weedy I make you eggs I make you bacon you know like
that it just right she wasn't there and so to sit in her space and be able to
make something it made me feel like I was with her and even holding this right
now you know I can have a piece of her and so I do believe that expressing
ourselves through ART whether it's painting sewing weaving making journals
scrapbooking um Ceramics you know you name it I mean there's so many different
ways cooking canning gardening you know there's so many different ways to
express yourself creatively and so I do feel like this idea of
healing with the expression of art being
creative I think that it is so profound and if you have the ability to share
something some sort of a craft something with somebody that might be going through it um I
mean I was talking to Joan and Joan was telling me about how Ginger really wanted the balloon
earrings from the havu kit a couple months ago
and so Joan had made those for her and sadly was not able to get them to her
and so we were you know we were even talking about like well what now right
those balloon earrings are just two pieces of wood
with some beads on them did you paint them Joan you probably painted them right she says
yeah and so we were just kind of like talking about that and and so I do
wholeheartedly believe um that you know that it's a great way to just sit with
um you know what what has happened and so there's a lot of comments coming in
and I love this because I I I know that this community really understands the
connection and so lean is even talking about um yeah PTSD absolutely and I'm a
huge believer with the weaving um that the that the motion of going from left
to right because it calms you right it calms you down and we all know that we
know that when we get deep into our weaving we calm down and so um yeah so I
just thought it was really I just wanted to share that a lot of us are hurting for many different reasons you know our
hearts are immediate with what we just lost our hearts are with the people throughout the US who are just
like I just you know you just want to like get in your car and like pack a bunch of crap and like go and help and
do whatever you can and and so it's so it's so tragic right then there's like
this tragic grief too because you don't get to you don't get any warning you
don't get any warning you don't get to say goodbye and that that's just got to be like a whole other level of grief
that is um I mean I've not necessarily experience that with the death really um
relationship wise so you know and that's a whole other whole other category when you're
grieving somebody who's still alive and so it
really yeah I think the truth you know when I think about the word grief and I think about you know what it should
really say it's like roller coaster of emotion based on blah blah blah blah blah blah blah um but anyway Ginger was
fun and I'll never forget when I first met her I was I told Joan she just said something so incredibly naughty and I
can't remember exactly what it was but I just remember
thinking oh my God this woman you know she just was she was Ginger she just did
not um hold back and she lived her life and that really is what I want to um end
this with and I'm going to get into like the palette I picked out um but life is
short folks really is when you think about it I'm going to be 59 on Saturday
by the way and I'm just like tripping right like I
still can remember being in high school I can remember being 21 I could
remember you know finding out that I was pregnant with Josh um and so in a blink
of an eye I'm 59 well I got till Saturday to be 59
but you got to live your life in all of this other crap we just have to figure out how to navigate through it
    um and and live
so and honor what's happening around us but we we have to live and we have to
stay strong and be strong for those that need us but um yeah so yes thank you
Leanne I'm I'm still young I can't believe it though that
means that like in a year I'm going to be 60 which by the way I want to go to
Portugal so we need to plan a trip so who's with me I really do I want to go
to Portugal for my 60th and I think it would be a blast to like just go as a big group and have fun so so go she says
my jewelry making Journey has helped me get through grief over the last few years I lost one of my sisters my only
brother and my mom oh my heck I'm so sorry yes yeah that's tough that's a lot
that's a lot I hope you're taking care of yourself I really do Hey listen um I
I'm going to show you the palette that I picked for for ginger I was like oh this has got to be fiery it's got to be fiery
and spicy and snarky and sassy and all of that kind of stuff I thought it would be really fun but but um I do want to
bring Eileen in Eileen hle is here because I am working on the Eileen Loom today we're just going to play around
and like take it easy peasy and so um I don't know
there Hi how are you Hi everybody yeah
you I'm sorry about Ginger I didn't know her but I wish I did because she sounds like a riot you was sharing a story
before we went live yeah so you have to remember that the fun things and yeah you
know just have good memories and yeah yeah yeah it's true you really do and I
think we're you know you and I've been so blessed to be in the creative Industries because we have done a lot of
work in in the memory category you know scrapbooking journaling and um and so
we've watched people at you know the the crops scrapping their photos and their
memories and um and so it's been a really big blessing to be a part of
people's lives on that level and what's really cool too is that the way that you
birthed um uh I don't even know that like I was
thinking what do you call your birthing like it's not even quadruplets you've had like is it Queen toppets I don't
know what you would even say hundreds of babies hundreds of babies and so you
just had a product released today and I just want to say like okay so the thing
that kind of came to my mind about Ginger when I was thinking about design it's a little hard I made this at Bellon
it's very small Ginger was not small but my idea was um and I'll show
you what I got going on it was on a much bigger level but not as big maybe as
what Tiffany did many years ago so Tiffany made this yeah cool very stinking cool yeah so she got the
loop-de-loops and she went around yeah it's pretty it's pretty you know so I was kind of
thinking that and then there's this cool piece this is a heart oh yeah yeah this
was done on the small Sun we I think I did this on jewelry television
with the small I did with the small Sun Weaver but you see this little gorgeousness where to go the jewel
nugget right here the jewel I'm calling them Jewel Toppers oh okay yeah so this
one is like sewn really tight very conservative again not not
Ginger not Ginger Ginger was she was yeah she didn't have big hair but but
she represented all the big hair girls had a big hair Personality yeah right
right so so before we came on I was telling you a little bit about what I wanted to do because I've used your loom
um our baby and I warped the Eileen Hall Loom with a 0. five hemp cord by
hemptique which you know I I love I think you love them too and then I
thought I'd really get a little wild een and I found some three O's so these are too seed beads but they're three and
they got a big hole and because I'm going to be using the decorative beads from my holiday collection that
represents Ginger um I needed to be able to get back through the hole okay and so
I couldn't find any 8os but I did find three o and that's what these are these are 3os so I
already built the base and um you know we've done it a couple of times you know
we tie off up here and then we warp I've got I got five warps because I got four
beads across okay and I skipped one
Groove oh does mama approve does m baby okay I do that too okay so my thought
was that I was gonna work on that I will be working on this topper that's going to be you know a little wild and said to
you hey didn't you just like have a product release this week and when they do a product release with sizzix it's
like like Quint toplet like you have a lot of babies right at one time well there's seven this time seven okay so
you have seven new dyes yeah and I mean I don't know do you want to do a Vanna
real quick or yeah sure I've got it right especially the one that we looked at at the end there because that's yeah
I'll show these are uh these are little thinl dies so these are uh it's kind of like
for Junk journaler collectors uh oh so they this one is like bookmarks and
pockets and Toppers this one is charm so this one could be used to hang off a loomed
piece uh this is floral pockets and paper clips so these are just things that you would put inside a journal then
I have a set of rubber stamps well they're photopolymer stamps uh these are
words that the people in my fan club uh said I I had one day to make a stamp set
and I went in the our group which is the Eileen Hall fan club if anybody wants to
join and I said if you were to have a set of stamps which what words or
phrases would you pick so these are all words from the fans and it's called fan favorites so that and then there is uh
an embossing folder which get a good grip on it it's called floral damask so
that's fun and then a four layer stencil and it's called plate
and what is it plate and pattern yeah plate and pattern and then this is the
last one this is called the mini album and this is a nice 5 by5 journal and I
have one that I did on my live just like couple hours ago and this is my little Journal it's a
swatchbook and this would be the perfect place to put a nice little beaded spine
or Fiber woven spine or you could make like a little closure wrap it around
close it or a belly band going up or down so there I can see lots of ways
that I would use the loom there so um anyway those are my collections so
they're they're actually not in my shop yet uh it's called the Eileen Hall Etsy Shop they're not listed yet they won't
be on there until October 21st so I have to wait three weeks to
sell yeah but then we're going to do our release party on October 22nd so if you
want to see more about how they work come on over there and uh you know in
the meantime if you want to join fan club get in the groove we're doing um
we're kind of integrating the loom projects in with the books and and everything that and I'm also working
with a leather company now so it's interesting to take all of the products and put them together so that is so cool
Joan can you bring me back up real quick I don't want to touch anything there we go okay um people were saying
we were really dark is that battery I don't know I just turn I just
saw a something to go from dark to light and I changed it oh good but think think
Ken is kind of dark it's hard to see what she's showing yeah that's okay it's
probably me sorry you terrible but I feel like I've got this
ATL and I feel like I'm cooking under the interrogation light so I yes to put
away from my eyes yeah I got I've got a big one in front of me and I'm a little I turn the fan on so but I love that
journal and my my you know when you were talking about like the spine yeah so you
know we've done that right we Y and then this one is actually yours but I came
home with it beautiful yeah and so that's what eileene is referring to and
so yeah so the whole whole idea with the Eileen Loom was to you know definitely marry this idea of paper crafting with
weaving and of course the natural you know it this concept this idea of
healing with creativity you know it's got to be put on something right if it's not a piece of jewelry um then you know
hey put it yeah put it on a book so I love that journal I can't wait to get my
hands on one I wanted to show you I wanted to show you this too oh pretty
yeah because this is um this is just yarn and see how tight The Weave is and
then you can go in and do your beautiful yeah and this was um uh actually this
was what was Tiffany stuff called oh oh the the to cast yeah yes cool this
was one of the cool to cast buttons oh wow and you know I had originally made this as you know a bracelet but the but
the idea of these things you wrapping around of your projects is like
perfect and this is this is fairly easy right so when we're talking about this
idea of breaking out our Loom and you know making something it when we're
going through something that doesn't feel great right um that weaving just
with fibers is like super duper easy yeah it is easy and rewarding like
everything just looks phenomenal who made that one piece I thought it was you but I don't think it was you it was a
scrapbook store wasn't it somebody made something and I was like oh my gosh I'm dying over Isabelle no Isabelle's
Isabelle's in I mean that girl rock star yes she's rock star she's from Europe
right she's over Scotland I think this was scrap something or other oh it's on
the Instagram oh I have to go look did I see it I don't even know I I thought it
was you but then I think it was them and then oh Terra it was Terra okay she's on
my team she's in Puerto Rico yeah she well the is it the one where she did the three journals the three little ones
with the fibers maybe so pretty yeah can I just tell everybody how much I love
Puerto Rico oh yeah I mean seriously if you've not been to Puerto Rico you need
to know like it's the best cap secret it is beautiful it's magical the people are
like unreal island is gorgeous the food is it's not Spanish let's just get that
straight it's not really Spanish food no it's different it's Puerto Rican yeah they got like they have everything but
yeah it's their whole Jam yeah but and the one area with all the different color doors and o o oi yeah Old Town
Puerto Rico yeah bring the mama's over and we'll
teach we'll have to have a retreat there yeah I'm in I did scrapbook um I think
creative wasn't it created keepsakes when they did Puerto oh one there yeah
so I think it was creating keepsakes think you did do one there yeah like that yeah that was so fun so fun anyway
I adore you I love you and um oh hey both Eileen and I and I think we can say
this now it's after 2 pm both eileene and I are um teachers for the
bellacon holiday edition coming up on October 23rd 24th and 25th you do need
to register I have I don't have my links
um but we'll make sure that you guys get them so Eileen's teaching I'm teaching
um I'm doing tassels that I'm probably going to marry up with some of your new stuff you're doing something with a loom
right I'm doing a beaded spine on a journal that says marry yeah there you go and there are other uh instructors
who are doing things as well so there's a handful of us but we'll oh Brenda says she's all registered Wenda you are on it
good to see you there hi Lina yeah hey everybody we'll start posting our
different links uh to make sure that you are able to join and get your kits um
yeah prior to we're I yeah yeah we're
good so Bellon well Bellon this is the
holiday ver version B big Bellon with the Swag Bags and all the kitten
kaboodles and like a bazillion instructors is next year yeah is baby
Bellon this is a yeah a holiday special edition yeah yeah holiday event that an
decided to do and was so gracious to ask you know myself and eileene and some you
know other instructors to come and yeah who's saying no I'm not saying no yeah I'm
there even though it's my birthday that's your birthday yeah well the 25th
is October 25th th is my birthday yeah my God so I'll have it with all of you guys we're 20 days apart yeah yeah wow
that's Scorpio are you Scorpio oh no I'm a Libra Libra okay I did dat to Scorpio
    once we're Maniacs never
again well we can work together no women yeah we're good we're good
well all right well I'm gonna get down to the table so that I can see what you
make I'm gonna make a big loop and thanks for popping in and for just helping us to like navigate our way
through all of these things that are going on in the country I know your heart is just like ours well my sister
is there my sister is in um oh yes that's right yeah what is that town oh
good lord I've seen it but Burnsville oh they're 40 minutes outside of Asheville
and she has a farm it was totally washed away her house the basement flooded they
don't have gas they don't have H it's a mess so and we've only heard from her one time she you know can't really get
to the well I think she's at a battery on her phone I don't know one sister
heard from her so we now have a big Facebook you know a text chain and whenever we hear so we're just waiting
to hear what she needs and then we're going to either go or bring her here or whatever and try and see what what she
needs you know it's all you can do but she's fine and her kids are fine so okay
yeah anyway but yeah everybody oh man I'm sorry yeah yeah I it I think that
there's a lot more that we just don't even know yet right oh yeah yeah yeah
anyway I'm glad that everybody is conscious I will say that when I was living in Jersey we had just moved there
and 911 happened and I remember it there was just like a disconnect between the
West like the West people you know were not they
couldn't wrap their head around it and we didn't have crazy social media back
then yeah that's true and now yeah now it's really hard not to know what is
going on all over the world quite frankly so yeah all right elen I love
you to pieces thanks for being my baby mama anytime good keep keep on birthing
all right okay see you guys all right I'm gonna go down to the table do a
couple things so don't tell Jules I'm a score oh
my like I said it's just the male version it was only one like I can't
like you know I can't put that on on the other Scorpio dudes
right a thanks Vicki that was awfully sweet of you Hey listen I'm going to go
down to um the table and just kind of show you what what I got going on
um so I don't know if you saw the Joan are you trying to figure out
how to how to pull up the overhead she's like
oh sorry I kind of B out there yeah well it's not like you know I mean are are
you holding up back there because like seriously if you okay because I want you I want you to be okay I mean tell me
this doesn't look delicious look at that this is the holiday collection it's um
just a gorgeousness of Reds and greens
and silver and lavender and purples I mean it really is like a Christmas tree with a bunch of ornaments right
so this is in the shop um you can absolutely get the E hole Loom on uh in
her Etsy shop for sheries um it is available in the jewel
loom shop but we always want to um support our our um designer peeps the
holiday collection is in the jewel loom shop okay so just for a little clarification of course you could ask me
like 5,000 more times and I'll answer you all right so what I've done I did mention is that I warped with some 0.5
um hemp cord and this is hemptique It's the really the only hemp cord that I
um that I use I like the company you know they're here in California they're
sustainable it's good stuff these are 3os these are big ones they've got uhoh
they got really big holes I got to let him out really quick he's choking hold on come on
    bu come on go go
boyos okay sorry I don't have kids I have a dog
right I mean Josh is grown so that was Marlin Brando he needed to
uh he needed to get out of here probably too hot so anyway I did do my base I've got five rows again um
skipped I skipped a Groove all right on the grid up
here and yeah so skipping a Groove accommodates this three seedbead this is
    a too they're gorgeous they've got a big hole and I don't think I've done this
before so we're going to see what happens you know nothing like going live
and trying something new but I love that and I think you do as well so I've got all of my beads in the jewel loom um
bead board here which I sometimes forget like how freaking awesome it is and come on tell me that the laser Loom and the
heart are not like unbelievably cool we might have to do an Eileen
board we might need a e bead board okay so I've got the um thread coming out
here on the right side of the Loom and my needle is in my right hand and this
would be my left hand and the loom is straight up and down in front of me and
you could work with the loom in whatever position feels right for you okay this is just how I do it and so what I'm
going to do is I'm going to take the needle I'm going to come down one row I'm going through that first bead and
then you could see the needle coming out and in between that first and second bead from the right side
and what I'm going to do is I'm going to make a loop and so these are 11
O's and I'm just going to pick up a bunch so let's see
two oops three it doesn't matter I mean
I'm just going to pick up a lot um so if I pick up a lot of Loops or a lot of
beads my Loop is going to be very big right if I picked up like say only six
seed beads size 11 then my Loops would be really tight and
short but again Ginger was full of
personality and so it is kind of funny we were talking about and Joe posted this so it's not like I'm telling
secrets you know of people going to jail or anything that aren't true but
um you know Ginger was fun she was a lot of fun lots of laughs so we should
remember that we should we should live large like ginger you know what you should do a t-shirt Joan you need a live
large like ginger t-shirt okay so now I'm going to pick up what I would refer to as a
decorative bead right so we just got a really pretty check glass bead there's 19 I think strands
of check glass beads different sizes different styles different
colors oh my gosh now he's scratching at the door to be let in this
    dog he is too funny
whoops so I'm a scooper I like to get the bead on the
needle and then I scoop up with my thumb uh other people I think I think I the
girls I think Trisha and Amber I think they do something like they take the needle and then they they go swoop I
can't do that well let me try I just can't do it I swoop okay I'm gonna go
back to my thumb but again it doesn't matter it really doesn't matter you just
want to get them up on your needle I wasn't counting so let me just let me do a visual to see
I guess that looks good okay so then what I'm going to do is I'm going to take the needle and I'm going to go back
through the right side of that big old third size three bead and I think I want
to I'm going to go through I'm going to go through one two three and then I'm
going to come out between the third and fourth bead let me bring that up to the
camera there you go so I'm coming out of the uh left side of the third and in
between the third and fourth bead and now when I pull I'm going to have my
first my first Loop very cool okay so look at how big that is
whoa now if I added more seed beads my Loop would be bigger if I added less
seed beads it would have been shorter so it's all depends on like what what look
are you going going for so I'm going to pick up some more and this time I'll just pick up
less um just for Giggles so that you can kind of get
the gist of what's going on here oops well see now I got to
reposition my hand I had my hand uh all the way up on
the top of the the needle and my hand's not not that big so let's see what do I
got I got two five okay I got five the jewel loom needles are like 3
inches long by the way but if you were working with a traditional bead needle like a 10 or a 12 they're much shorter I
have a really hard time with those needles um just because of my you know
I've been doing jewelry for so long my hands don't really want to be too too flexible and so the jeom
needles are really really nice for that okay so I've only got seven or do I have
eight so let's pick up a green one of these green
gorgeousness and then we'll go ahead and we'll pick up some more seed
beads you know if you're not live or you're not taping something I think you can kind of get the idea that when
you're focusing on picking up the beads and you're creating these Loops you know there's there's just this moment of of
Silence right um and so the calming effect of
weaving is very beautiful okay I think there's one more okay so one more and so
I'm going to let that fall and then again we're going to go to
the right side of the bead and then all all the way out and I'm going to bring
that up so you can see that so I came through the right side of the bead and
now I'm going back through and all the way out and this will be my next
Loop oh that one wants to dance a little so you can see see how there's less seed
beads so that one's not as big
okay and I do think I'm going to put one here on the last on that last
bead and so we will pick up let's do another long
one so that we do actually have um a consistent look
so I don't know there were a lot I didn't count them so four four
    five 6
    7 8
9 10 does that look maybe kind of like
how many do we do I didn't count I was so bad because I was talking um 2 4 6 8 10 12 maybe two more
let's do two more so one two and I haven't used what color
what color um we'll just use one of these guys and then we'll pick up
    another another
Bunch it's a little hard I to see um the laser on the Eileen hole logo
is so good it's like the green beads are just
melting into it so I'm GNA see if I can't find something
to because you know elen's just got to be
uh just that that beautifulness of that laser with her name it's really
delicious don't you agree Mama whoops
okay let's see what we got going on here my goodness I'm like a slow picker upper
today okay well we're just going to pretend that's enough that is isans board differ from Silver silk it looks
longer actually it's not let me finish this Loop so
um so I just went through the right side and you can see like that's our that's
our third Loop okay so I just wanted to give you
an idea of like you know we've got less seed beads more seed
beads and um the question and give me a hot second here because I happen to have
I just so happen to have a silver silk loom next to me so the silver silk loom
is definitely well it's a Daddy it's a big dad it's NE right so the that Loom
is it's wider and it is longer Eileen's Loom was
specifically designed for the spines on her Dy so
elen designs die cuts for um well still rule
dyes and thin dyes for scissors and so the length here correct me if I'm
wrong but we're it's 6 in right like 6 and A4 or something I think and uh with
like a 2 inch wide we we really looked at a lot of her um journals let me bring
that one back in here ien I can't remember the name of this one do you want to tell
me let me see if I can't hold on there we go what's this one h
oh why can't we hear you you're muted hold on I think you have to
unmute sorry I wasn't sure which was which I'm usually on the other end of the controls here that one is called the
con um card caddy card c yeah it's got
little supports on either end but if you don't put them in there it turns into a book and I think that one is one and a
half inches wide yeah so think that's about let me get the
um let me get the old sewing tape measure let me see this
one yeah this is six and a quarter okay your loom is six and a quart long and
the grid is one one and a half inches white
okay yeah and so the silver silk loom is much bigger because it was
designed to a accommodate silver silk which is thick um and and and wied um
and to make bracelets yeah so Eileen's Loom was specifically designed for paper crafting
journaling Etc um and so I think did you figure out how to
make a bracelet somebody did somebody did you figure out how to extend well yeah I well there a couple ways but what
I do is I wrap the the warp around the back too okay so I just keep wrapping
and then at the end I have extra cord or whatever to
uh you wrapped oh my God you didn't tell me that I love that there's not a grid on the back though so what did you do
you just let them you just did like faux faux grid well yeah I didn't really need
I mean I have the little teeth at the top and the bottom and just kind of hooked them
in I I did the back of the it it really just acts as an extender I'm not really
weaving on the back I'm just using it to keep the the warps longer you know what
I mean oh I got you not them or tie them or something I have more to work with
did you ever do you know Judy Hayes no I don't think so I feel like you probably
do Judy's yeah J Judy go way back to skell binder cic days design teams Etc
but she once took the jewel loom and and she did some magical things with the original blue jewel loom to extend and
she had like clothes clippy thingies that you know you hang clothes yeah and
blue T I mean it was hysterical what she did yeah I was just like having a
flashback well it works you know when you want something to work for you you
figure out how to make it do it yeah you do well um I love that and I don't feel
like we've done that on I know hair yeah I need to do a video I do it at you know
it's like three o'clock in the morning I look bad and I don't want to do a video
you know but that's when the the brainstorms come so what can I say yeah
my you know that would be better yeah well you could just do an overhead shot I
mean you know video of like of like what you're talking about and so um just to
kind of like if people I feel like we're like talking secret code so Eileen slom
is um specifically for you know weaving on the front right so there's no grids on the back and she wanted to figure out
how could she make a longer piece and so that's what she's speaking to and um
we're both like yeah we need there needs to be video on that because it sounds really cool yeah so um that's that's
nice so so later tonight your your Dy are being introduced by Stacey right
yeah okay and what is that what does that look like it must be actually it's
I love watching it because you know the thing is when you design something and you know this you design a tool and you
have an idea in your head of what you want to do with it yeah then you give it to somebody else and they do something
just crazy that you never would have thought of yeah well that's what it's like anytime I see anything people make
with my dyes because you know you bring your whole personality into it and all
the knowledge and experience of all the crafting you've done and the supplies that you like to use and you just make
it yours and I love it so Stacy I don't know but I'm going to watch and I bet I'm going to get some tips yeah CUA
she's um she's like a pretty profoundly yeah like she her and ginger would have
had a good time oh yeah I think so yeah oh that that is the truth like when I go
into the jewel loom group um I'm always blown away you know like everybody blows
me away their color choices they you know what they've done somebody was
working on the large wisdom Warrior and they were working on patterns and I was
like what like unreal work and it just made I steep back and I'm like that's my
loom I know it's a good feeling it's such a great feeling because that's exactly what you want I um I don't know
at all yeah well you have your style you know that's the thing I mean you do what
you like so when you see somebody else using a tool that you designed to make what they like it's very very satisfying
I just yeah love it it it is it's it is really the most rewarding thing because to your point you're right we have our own
Styles and I think we both love production we love to to invent we
love to make products and um that's a really big thing you know it's a really
big thing and then you know to also have all the creativity it's impossible yeah
it's a lot social media and the sharing of it and the all of that techn
gey crazy but girl I just spent the weekend in Dallas with some other shops
and I can't it was so good and these women are
so they're just amazing and all their businesses were different like this one
business people send in their their memorable
clothing like a wedding dress or maybe a military outfit or
a Grandpa's flannel right like they send in these clothes and then this company
makes memory teddy bears oh wow yeah wow that's like like
in like for reals by their hands like not sent overseas or you know like it's
like um yeah and then let's see what other oh and I'm going to totally do
I'm totally G to do a a what's it called a box reveal um I I met the nail polish
lady who does clean nail polish with none of the crap in it did you know oh
no like a lot of nail polish has think about it well the way it smells it can't be good right so I like that smell but
it's probably burning up my lungs oh my God you're so funny yeah so she she makes
nail polish and I ordered a few and I'm super stoked I can't wait to to get the
nail polish and I'm definitely goingon to share it with everybody because I'm like over the top so she was super cool
um they were all unbelievably cool and they just everybody does something a
little bit different there's a really cool chick she's so hungry hippie yeah
so hungry hippie she's really she's amazing what did she do so she does like
these really bitching vinyl bags that you learn how to make and and so she's
she was super cool and um yeah I everybody was everybody was just so
amazing I felt like the impostor I was like I do not belong like you I I know
that is only my subconscious brain protecting me I'm learning okay I'm into psychology okay I'm learning about my
brain and how screwed up it is but no really not no impostor
system impostor syndrome is the brain trying to keep you in a safe place when
you are trying to uplevel ah yeah so put
that in your hat and smoke it like for
reals your brain is almost like its own flipping little person who's like screwing with you half the time sounds
that way I know I'm like this is this relationship got to end with friends like that who needs
enemies friends like that yeah so yeah so just um it was really great I was in
Dallas uh PL Plano Plano what what a beautiful area um my just everything was
great everything was great food was great Ubers were awesome airport folks
were delightful you know like there just yeah there were no like ugly moments it
was all just really good um so yeah so I got six rows on this cute
topper and so of course I would just like you know continue to to build it to
build it out and um I don't really know because I did the
hemp cord I can't do Danielle snazzy at least I don't think I can now it's not
because of the cord it's because of the loops so Danielle does this really cool trick yeah where um where she's able to
maneuver the warps so she like pulls one and it comes forward and then she pulls
from the top and it pulls that way and then she's like she's doing this magical
thing and it really works when you when you just have a a
flat basee and you know like you're using Wildfire or oneg or something um
but every once in a while I get it to work with all of my craziness because
you have to imagine that the warps are they're pulling right but if there's something that you looped around it it's
not it doesn't want to pull anyway she's there's Daniel we're
I'm talking about you and you're we want to see your magic Danielle your magic so
I'll have to see in the end if I'm able to do that with this one sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't so but um
yeah so listen whatever you're going through
um you've got a lot of people rooting for you I really do believe that I do
believe that the human the humans are not as bad right like I do believe that
there that there are just lovely mostly really great people out there in
the world who just want to help Andre yeah I drove around the country
this summer I did uh 6,400 miles in 26 days and like no jerks like there were
just no jerks you know like yeah I think they're good and just the fun people I
met at the state parks or at the stores or you know they're all nice like yeah I
know that that's not the real world but that's what I saw in 26 days so pretty
good average you know well I mean and what is the real world right you know I
think that we can be um we can get loaded with all the crap social media is
just like really I really liked life it in many
ways um it does unite I think this YouTube thing that we get to do with
with the streamyard and everything like we we get to show up and be here for each other but there's nothing like
being in person and I know that we keep talking about it and we were hopeful that we could do something this year but
it doesn't look like an in-person event but I know that it's on your heart I know it's on my heart it's on Joan's
heart um I know that collectively there is enough creative heart to figure out
how to do something I'd really love to GA Gather in the South because I think it's a nice meeting area you know I
don't know how easy it is to fly in and out of Missouri that kind of seems like a central point Nashville obviously is
Central we've got a ton of people scrapbook I mean mama is it Mama Mia
what what is her mayay not Mama Mia mayay she's Alabama South South yeah I gotta meet
her she is fun she is really really a nice cool person yeah so I don't know we
might just have to um am I just we just have to do something there's too many people who um
we need to get together with we could fly into oh look at Danielle's already doing travel arrang on at Barryville
Arkansas where's Barryville oh Barryville Arkansas is there an airport
there uh Arkansas I'm trying to think of where I have that's like oh that's the
Walmart built by Walmart oh really that's where all the W that's where all the the Sals people for Walmart yeah by
the corporate corporate is there and but the other thing about Arkansas is that
it has Tiffany loves this and I can't remember what is it called it's the gems
and the minerals and the like the why am I doing this I don't know but it sounds
good what the it's something like line or
    something I don't know I don't know Hidden Gem she's as friendliest people I
know then friendliest good to me wow that's a
bir that's like I'm gonna yeah I never been to the Arkansas
I have been there one well I passed through it not really I went the Cracker Barrel and saw my one of my girls on my
team we had dinner oh my God hey Joan do you want to come on real
    quick
I know everyone is sending you like Tons of love and we don't want to put you on the spot but I hope that you can see how
much love you're like being flanked with like we we're our hearts are with you
and we know this is so hard right
now thank you everybody for sending all that love thank you
poor girl we love you we love you so much we
do I just want I want her to know that we're squeezing her so
yeah you okay back there I can see her she's blowing her nose it's not very
sexy it's better she's backstage it's better she blows her nose off camera
okay well to that point Eileen I adore you I'm so excited for your new
launch and um very exciting I know that when all those babies come out it's
always like a really you know it's exciting it's very exciting for
sure and so yeah so we'll um patiently
await for you know like new project ideas and I'm sure there'll be an abundance of them I have them I and I've
samples but they're for classes that I'm going to stores to teach so I don't like to you know put them out there when
they're paying so I do have some cool ideas and um there one of them is going
to be in the Bella um craftathon I'm gonna do okay
okay I gotta that you're that you're teaching yeah if you can believe it Lena wants to
know if um you filmed your road trip on YouTube I Didn't Do It on YouTube I did
uh every day on Instagram I did reals I did a reel of each day so you can go
back and watch that I I left on July 8th so if you go to Eileen Hull on Instagram you can see every day kind of where I
went yeah I Didn't Do It on YouTube well some might be on YouTube I did one at
the top of a mountain in um Bryce Canyon
I was 9,000 feet up in the air and I could go live it was crazy were you on
the satellite thing star or whatever it's called I don't know how it got
there I thought I'm just gonna try it and it went live oh I guess there was nothing stopping it from bouncing around
I I don't know how it all works honestly but yeah any yeah all right well
Danielle says she can't wait to check out your launch and Danielle's got a lot of Rockstar things going on and so um
you know I have been blessed with Danielle doing um the monthly creative
soulbox and and people what I really have
noticed is that people are getting and this is what I wanted I really wanted people to be able to get the project
going and and done and I have uh Linda Lee who just rolled in
um showed me her projects and you did a phenomenal job and
Kathy tur something TCH I can't don't hold me to that but the point is just
that I'm seeing people show me their projects and I love
that and so thank you Danielle for being conscious of how to design and how to
present because it means the world to me and the creative Soul people and so um
Danielle's not in the back room I feel like every week we should
just like how many people can I load up into the back I could have 10 people
yeah okay we should like I think it would kind of be once a month to like have 10 people in the back room so it's
pretty fun you could all be working at the same time with the same stuff wouldn't that be a cool video at the end
you can show them everybody okay have you done that yeah you have yeah with 10
people yeah it was a little tricky a lot of people they're little boxes I was
gonna say C you can feature you know you can Spotlight somebody okay you know oh
sure like on a zoom yeah and in here yeah but I mean yeah in here you could
do that so oh well we gotta try that yeah we got to try that so much so all
right well good luck tonight I know you don't you need it because stay Seal Rock rock the house and rock your products
and let's hope yeah for sure all right honey and many thoughts and prayers and
love and everything to your sister please keep us updated to let us know like you know yeah if I figure something
out I will uh let everybody know okay but otherwise I know that that Samaritan's Purse they're doing a good
job I've been watching them they're killing it Elon has sent like a a taunt of the Stargate yes starlink yeah my my
niece is uh seven months pregnant and she's in Asheville she used that to uh
okay get to us to say they're all alive so okay I mean yeah yeah and there was
also a post from him that they're not being charged and so don't be worried
about that you you can certainly go and you should look for it yourself but from my understanding there it's not like you
are being charged if you're in that area like the starlink knows they give them a
number and and then they go through that or something I I don't know how it works it's it's Brilliance but um yeah and
then the cjun cinjun Army oh I don't know I've heard stuff about that but I I
think they're more like they take and then they like on their horses like get into where they got to go oh
wow I don't know I'm not there I'm just saying but to your point Samaritan's Purse and and
Elon and I'm sure a Lo of other people yeah yeah right so was good but anyway
yeah Red Cross so okay um thank you yeah and thank you Joan love
you amazing she is amazing she
is I know we're just sitting here we're just
sitting here fluffing our hair are you eating pizza my husband just brought it down a nervous I know he's a good guy I
can't eat pizza with gluten ah it hurts I have have I know that's why
    you're skinny I I'm not skinny yeah you are I don't
    feel like I feel I'm a little
pooched give me a break give me a break
Jules I'm little yeah you are little you are I know I think I might be getting
shorter I feel like it's possibility anyway all right next week
um I haven't talked to Danielle but I'm hopeful I'm hopeful that will be maybe
um speaking to the C the sept what it month is is October October yeah so
either next Thursday or the Thursday after so but all right we're gonna let
you go cook dinner and do all the things that you need to do most of some of you have probably already eaten it's 5 it's
F only 5:13 here in California it's 83 88:13 here so oh okay so we're going to
dismiss class then okay thank you and go thank you so much oh it was fun I'm glad
I didn't realize I was coming on but it's good yeah I didn't either but I was like hey you are
now I'll send you a link I'll send you a link I know and then I was like oh maybe
I said I would go on you didn't it's just me I'm so bad at that I'm just like
I'm the person who would have people over to my home all the time yeah yeah like I don't
care like if you yeah like I'll feed you I don't care good so good seeing you you for for
um in honor of um Ginger did she have red hair by any
chance no no okay because those little curly things reminded me of like kind of
she was blonde before she turned gray okay but but she did have a wave to her
hair and yeah she had curly hair she had curly hair red red kind of personality
actually I found a picture over six months before I met her and I wish I could have seen it it was so beautiful
she had her hair done in multicolors oh wow it was so cool yeah she was a it's her character
was definit Ely flaming and red and vivacious and orange for happiness and
you know just sassy and yep you know her favorite color was purple so she'd
always try to steal everything purple out of my stash I want that one I'm gonna add more
purple then into this piece but that seems pretty good like I I think you
translated that into your work you know with the little loops and every you know
that just yeah looks like she would be in be yeah that's that's definitely what I
when I think of her just uh very vivacious and funny and I mean who who
throws their bestie out into the hallway in their skibbies come on now and shs the door
loocks I would be dying oh I am so glad that a sweetheart
went down got the r key yeah but
she there was something else I was gonna say she didn't I can't even think of it now oh my God it'll come to it'll come
to you those are hopefully some of the things that'll keep you that's that I mean
there's not a day anyway be you know before this happened that something would pop in my mind about her and I
just burst out laughing happen but she was one a lot of people didn't know she would actually she loved be around
people but she would burn out her energy and have to go sleep the rest of the day so it wouldn't take long for her to
burn out her energy so everybody thought she was like that all the time and she
was that's really interesting re recharge her batteries yeah yeah
[Laughter] wow so that's what I would have to do is like what saying you know when they're
having that experience at Joy television and stuff people be wondering where she was in the afternoon I said having a nap
she has to go to sleep I I'm na her too she would she
once year I couldn't believe she did this she goes well she goes I'm so tired I need to go to sleep in the meantime
she had scheduled for somebody to teach her bead weaving which at the time I've never done before and I ended what it
was she planned it all along she wanted me to go down and learn it and teach it to
her so she skipped out on her class yeah she did that she absolutely
is a huge fan of Danielle Wicks but she wanted me to always do it or do it with her but I knew what she was doing she
wanted me to finish it for her too oh my gosh well and wasn't she wasn't weren't
the two of you in cahoots during one of wet's classes or something funny weren't
you guys naughty wait the very F now I gotta let you know this one I was friends with her
for six months before I went to my first JTV workshop and you know some of the
girls knew her and she was running around with this other one but it was so funny because I kept hearing stories
about Ginger and I go why are they talking about my friend that way you know because you I just knew Ginger is me and ginger
you know and then so I was in candy Cooper's
class and all a sudden there's like 10 or 15 minutes left for class and she she calls me and she goes where are you and
I said I'm in candi's class I don't even know why I answer the phone because normally I wouldn't do that and and
Candy standed next to me like looking at me and she goes well why are you still in class why I ended the class just to
get her and Ellen out of it at 15 20 minutes early D because he
couldn't stand around them anymore wait who was that Wyatt did
that she would and then after that year she would easily talk him so he goes if
you be quiet I'll make your jewelry for you here's the beatball so she's playing the beatball he'd make her jewelry for
my God down she knew what to do oh she know
that she knew how to do get people to do stuff that is too much you know Ginger
and Joan did a couple videos um where Joan was trying to teach Ginger how to
use the Jew by the it was a three-parter by the last part she go I'm going to live here
if you finish it this is the tutorial it's so funny and we there's a
lot of views on those on the on that it's so
funny so funny oh my God so good what a
blessing that you know what I mean like yeah
yeah oh God I think I just accidentally ended us didn't I no are we you're still
on W so I feel like touch mean to keep
everything going I'm sorry no Joan this is the healing part of like
what's so important because you got to laugh with your friends I mean and
that's what she wanted she didn't want anybody mourning over her she said she just wanted a party and with people
laughing and she'll be there in spirit here we are here we
are that's so good so good well you know
that you have a big community of people you know you have me like there's going to be times where you might need to just
have an ear so you know you have that with me and I think you can express
yourself freely um here as well hi oh Kiren there she was one of um that
called me out in the hallway where I got stuck outside with my underwear
on did you shut the door and heard friend's
fault they knew what they were doing oh my
God I'm calling you out Cur dad oh my God you guys are going to
jail she must have laugh she's not answering Knoxville PD just got a just
got a a warning in your photos and you know her husband was a police officer
oops oh my God that's so funny best night ever never laughed so hard
a so good well this this is life right here
this is what we need to remember yeah yeah that's what I mean that's how I
usually I mean it's hard at times but I usually find I get through it better with laughter than sitting around
crying yeah and you should get through it how you want to get through it that's something I I really wanted to speak to
too is like you know it's nobody's business how you navigate grief and you're going to have besties who are
going to let you repeat it whatever it might be a thousand times you're going
to have people in your life are like how are you not over this yet you're you know like but you get to do it how you
need to do it and I think that's like really super important so you know that
this group is going to let you you know but you you navigate your way through
this however you have to beat the crap out of a pillow laugh
whatever people are gonna get so sick of my posts no they're
not you had a close relationship we're not we need to you know it's special like we're not going to understand the
magnitude of of this person not being here in the physical anymore if we don't
if we don't get to see you know the and read the stories so I don't think anyone
and if they get tired of it it's called scroll
    scroll person so yeah that's why I I I'm
finding a lot of um you know it's helping me being with the community so
yeah healing with creativity healing with the creativity community
hwcc in right we just we need another
t-shirt D says this is wonderful and Kristen says she's absolutely here for
you but Kristen please make sure she has her clothes
on can I say what you know how I mentioned that first year I went um when
I finally realized how out there Ginger was she gets up in front of the whole
place at towards the end of the um JTV Workshop or whatever it was called van
and she goes um she was doing a top 10 or something and she goes and I can't
wait to get out of here to take my bra off okay I feel like I was there and how
did did we not meet I don't remember you there it was
in 2017 you know what I honest ly I think I was there you're kidding
I don't want to be kidding but it's possible because I feel like that I feel
like she referenced her girls in some way and I just remember thinking oh my
God yeah because the president gets up he goes don't worry I won't take off my [Laughter]
bra the good old days of just saying whatever you the next year this lady she
she obviously missed the bus and we're getting ready to you know Ginger is gonna drive us over there and
she and well we were in the room and Jinger goes gosh I forgot my bra out in the car and I said oh it's just does go
and um put it on in the car you know we're behind the building
and so she finds this lady in the hotel lobby it needs a ride over there because
it's a really busy road get in the car we put the stranger in
the front seat with ginger did not say anything with
PR we never saw that lady
again she was PR oh my God you are so lucky you've never gone
to jail oh my God so funny I just can't so
good I'm so it's so great that you have these memories with with her so precious
I bet I could sell make write a selling book [Laughter]
probably oh well thanks everyone oh gosh anytime we
all need laughter right now so we appreciate it yeah I love you all all right we love
you too all right all right Marin Brando's probably starving to death I gotta go feed that Frenchie of
mine thanks again okay good I'll see you soon we'll spread word about the Bellon
event and all that good stuff all right okay bye everybody bye everyone
    Transcript Video 2:
hi there I'm so excited about today I am going to be using the een hole paper crafting Loom
to make a beaded gift topper we're going to be using as I mentioned the loom and
a gorgeous selection of holiday color traditional beads and reds and purples
and greens it's sprinkled with a little blue and so I'm very excited to finish this
project I do have a link that I'll be sharing with you at the end of this
video that will take you right to the first video where I actually
started to make the gift topper so don't worry because I know you're probably looking at this wondering how did she
get there and I'll take you to that video afterwards so without further Ado
let's go ahead and go down to the table so that I can show you I'm going to
scooch over a little show you what I've done and I'm really excited because
today today I feel like this is exactly one of those moments that I always am
preaching about where it's um how weaving is so
meditative and you know just so peaceful and I really was excited to bead with
you you today like I'm always excited to see you and bead with you but today I
really was just hoping um for this moment to come there we go so that we
could really have some time together and I was really wanting to just get into a peaceful state so I put that little
napkin under there because I felt like the green beads were really soaking into the loom so hopefully that helped out um
I also want to just go back and tell you a little bit about what I warped with which is a 0.5 mimer uh hemp cord this
is really nice this is from a company called hemp te and these are size o um 3
O's so they're they're much bigger than let me bring them up a little bit here
much bigger than the 11 O's or the 8 O's we've worked with in the past and that's what I built my basee
with and I've also got some 11o Toho beads I've got the decorative beads from
the kit and I'm using the red Wildfire
so really getting into uh the holiday spirit here I know it's early October
2024 but it's never too early to start creating especially when you're doing
those handmade gifts so I already have
the uh wildfire and my needle are ready to go and I want to come in here one of the
things that I found from the design aspect was I didn't in the end
really like the idea of only using red seed beads I felt like I needed to you
know really break that up so I added some gold and some purple seed beads to
my mix down here and I've taken the needle and I've gone through the first
Beed and the second bead and now I'm out in between the second and the third bead
and so I'm going to pull the needle and thread and I'm going
to start adding some of this new mix right so I've got this whoops where'd it
go got this purple and like a matte gold that I'm putting on my needle and I'm
just going to randomly pick up some beads and all I'm going to
do let me think about this am I going to add a decorative bead I think I'm
probably going to do that let's see I've got how many do I have I have four let's
do five seed beads and then let's go over here now this kit has a variety of
colors like I said I would say it's very traditional in the sense that you've got
like your your Golds and your purples and your Reds and your blues and your
greens some people are probably thinking no it used to only just be red and
green but that's okay I used to have a Christmas tree that um was nothing but a
bunch of items from uh a store called Pier One and I had big old hunk and
butterflies on my Christmas tree um just a lot of really crazy
Whimsy fun items and I loved it okay so
let me bring that up so I could kind of show you see how that's going to add let
me get a little bit better lighting here it's going to add a little bit of a
breakup with all that red I just I really felt like I needed I needed break
from all of the red I was using so once again I'm just picking up the 11
O's um I'm a scooper I was watching I was watching Danielle Wicks um pick up
beads the other day and and she does it differently and Trisha does it differently and I'm sure Joan does it
differently it's it's just really fun to watch how everybody beads and how it's a little bit uh
different so just scooping up the
beads so my idea is that this is going to be a package topper just something
fun that you can add onto your gifts as you are gift wrapping
them and so this is going to be my second Loop and I'm going to go on the right side of that big bead there and
then I'm just pulling through and this is going to create another loop
so the fun thing about this and let me just get the tissue out here for a second the fun thing about this is also
I wanted to show you that when you're working on a project and you you know
maybe you put it aside like I did and then you're like you know what I want to change it up the cool thing and what I
want you to know and understand is that you can right so I had already created
loops on these first two rows and then I got this design feeling that I needed to change
it up a little bit and so you can do that you can go back and you can make changes in the middle so let's just get
that oh and what I need to do now actually is I've got to turn my loom so
this is already looking super cool all right so let's get this under
here so I turned the loom because when I'm creating the loops I'm always
working from the right side so this is my right hand this is my left
hand okay so I'm going to take the needle and thread and I'm coming uh up
and in between that first and second
bead and once again I'm going to pick up some of the seed beads the more seed
beads you pick up the bigger your Loop is going to be and then the less seed
beads that you pick up the shorter and Tighter your Loops will be so it just
depends on your oh don't lose those Jewels just depends on what your design
preference is okay um let's see this is always the
it's the fun part and the challenging part right picking out from all of this
deliciousness what do I want let's do a let's do this lavender bead so I'll pick
up you know the amount of seed beads that I want in this case it looks like I've got what do I have five and then I
picked up what I would refer to as a decorative bead because it's bigger and now I'm going to pick up five more seed
beads so this time I am using some of the red but again I'm trying to get a
little bit more of the purple and the gold just to kind of calm that red
down not that there's anything wrong with it I just felt like I needed to break it up a little
bit okay so then I'm going to go back in
with my needle and I'm coming back through the right side of that big
three and where do I want to put my next one I think I want to do that so I'm going to go through the first the second
and the thir third bead and we'll go ahead and
pull and there's another loop so beautiful this is really
pretty and then we're going to whoops go ahead and scoop
    up some more beads
and another decorative let's see oh that's a really pretty flower let's grab
oh well that was did they all just literally come flying
off yes they did oh my goodness okay so fun times fun
times see it happens to things happen to
all of us when we're beating right like all these little things can fly everywhere especially when they're
little so that's so funny okay so let's get a let's get
these guys I'm going to go through the back side of this flower all right now everybody's in
control here yes okay and then we'll go ahead and pick up
    some more
and yep that's good and then we are once again going to go on the right side of
that bead and come all the way
out super fun let me bring this up to the
camera okay so you can see that but with all of the loops and the rows like it
really starts to get really fine and wild and it's definitely going to be um
a cool eye-catcher on your gifts and I'm going to pick these guys
up I don't know if you can see them but the the ones that just flew across I'm going to grab them I'm going to grab all
these little guys they're like let me get off of this bead board okay so there's five
and oh but I didn't go through wait where am I at I turned did I turn the
loom I did turn the loom and I oh I see what I did I should have
come down here look at me getting ahead of myself I got so excited to see the little beads that flew off of the
needle okay so we're going to go through that first one got a little
overzealous but all is well there's always there's always a backup there always a backup mode okay
so let's do that again I'm going to come over here and grab these to
fun I'd love to know if you um if you currently like do you make handmade bows
or anything like that for your projects now for your gifts I know some people
who just like go to town on gift wrapping and um I'm also I'm also a part of the
bellcraft holiday event that's coming up on the 20 I think I'm I think I'm on the
    24th it's a three-day event and I'm going to be
making some tassels as gift top ERS with
some charms and so I'm usually not the one who does
like fancy gift wrapping but I've kind
of got it in my in my mind to be a little bit more
sparkly this season so you're just going to make you
know your Loops until you're all done so we've got a couple of rows to go by
here and again just picking up the seed beads seeing how many I have and
then um kind of in the middle of this right is this kind of the middle let me
see where am I at kind of to the side middle I wonder if I could do like a
big a bigger fancier bead let's see
let's try this big guy I mean that oh yep that's a big one did I lose
my okay let's go ahead we're going to try to focus on
that big one really quick here let me get that tissue back under
it's so funny how that how this just it it's like this palette is Maring the
wood so much this is kind of Disappearing so got to use this little
white tissue here to make sure you can
see okay so this will be like our first really big bead on this
project yes I love that Lori that's such a that's just a perfect way to explain
it um you know these gift Toppers are really cool accents for your gift
wrapping but they really make a part of the gift right so like this could you
could put a pin back maybe um in a little envelope and then
you could attach that and it let's see where can you purchase the Sor
ribbon um honestly I think some of your purchases for the Sor ribbon Terry are
going to be going to um Etsy and putting in Sor ribbon and you're going to find
so many vendors that um that sell the ribbon and there's just
such really great pricing out there I've tried to carry it before but honestly I
just feel like you could get a better deal um by looking for a vendor in an
Etsy shop because usually it's somebody who's like really they like get it and then they make it themselves so it's
really homegrown so I would do that I'd go to Etsy I would type in um s a r i ribbon
and there's going to be like a ton of shops that come up usually just maybe see like if there's not one that's in
your area right and then you can support a local business
also you know if you've not signed up for the juwel loom newsletter I got to tell you it's a great situation so um
it's really a tool that I use to communicate with you for several
different reasons right obviously I'm letting you know um when we're going
live when you know a new tutorial has been uploaded I let you know when
um when new products have come out it's
also a great way for me to just communicate with you you know many times
like recently when we've had the hurricanes and stuff I really just had it on my heart to reach out and and type
a letter to you so it's it's a variety of communication um if you're not a part of
the newsletter when you sign up you not only get a code for 15% off your first
order but you also are able to download three free
seedbead patterns and they're absolutely beautiful um and so those are free once
you sign up for the newsletter and um if for some crazy reason they didn't
download you know you can always reach out to me and let me know what you need um if you know if that didn't if that
didn't happen but so far it's been working like a gym so you follow the
link um it's right here actually on the YouTube channel on the homepage you can
follow that link and um sign up for the newsletter I don't sell your name I
don't sell your information I'm very very careful about
that I use a um secured Network I use a big fancy email
collector that I pay a lot of money for and so um if you have any of those
concerns please know that I've thought about that and I'm really careful about
all of those things so oh I am so in love let me do this let me do this I got
two more Loops two more Loops I'm super stoked I'm loving how this is turning
out I am so happy that in the beginning I did these longer Loops but let me finish these because I'll speak to the
design that just kind of happened didn't really know where we were going but I'm
lacking where I'm ending up okay so let's see four five and oh
you know what I don't think I've used a a silver these are gorgeous let's grab
this guy whoops come here buddy
all right just want to get some more color in
here so what do we got we got three and let's get a couple more get
some more purple in there okay so on this top row I'm ending
up doing a loop um on every
bead it's like my go bigger go home row
all right so let's get one more in here so
[Music] pretty this would be so we were talking in the free Facebook group earlier um we
had a post about um Kelly Dell had mentioned how we over at
juwel Loom also use the large wisdom Warrior as a production Loom and so what
I mean by that is that will some of us have Joan Amber Trisha um I don't know
if Trisha's done it but I know Amber and Joan and Kelly um Hawkins have used the
large wisdom Warrior as a production Loom meaning that they have created multiple
projects at one time and so these little bad boys this would be a perfect design to
do on the large wisdom Warrior um because you could set up for a bunch of
them and oh my gosh 24 let's see it's 24
inches long I don't know if Joan's up for doing math
um 2 4 in long and if each one of these is like I don't know let's just say two two
Ines let's say three inches overall because of the warp let's say 4
    in 4 Ines and 24 that'd be 10
right is that right I think that's
right and so you could and that's just like on one side of the large wisdom Warrior right you could probably warp
two separate um sorry to interrupt that six but you could more than one column
too yeah when I doing those bracelets I did two columns but I could have easily done three or four
columns okay yeah we got to find those pictures we we're looking for some
photos in the um in the uh group okay so I just want
to let me scooch all of this out because I feel like there's so much in that in this Frame
and let me get my let me get back to this guy because I think this really helps to
see and so it's so funny because without really thinking about it look at how all
of these ended up long right and then you have like all of the it's it's like
    a whimsical um it's like a
whimsicle like [Music] dragonfly um oh my gosh what am I
thinking a Whimsical like what is that what is that cool bug with like they've
got fancy little bottoms is it a dragonfly or am I thinking a Hummer a
humming bird I'm not sure but I've got total like cool whimsical
like magical I just wish you could like the it's a little it's a little dark I think
that's because of the palette I'm working on but my lands when I tell you that I'm looking at this and I'm
drooling like I'm straight up honest with you like if I don't like something I've done and I'm really happy with this this
turned out a lot better and I'm so happy that I came back and I added more
seedbead color but it's so cool because you know what it's like this is the bottom like this little Whimsical like
um tutu it's like a little tutu oh I know this also reminds me of that flower
what flower am I thinking of like a is it a could it be a Flor Le I don't know
anyway my brain my brain goes like to all these different places anyway I'm super stoked so let
me what I do want to do though is I felt like I needed a
little a little more security with this first row I feel
like it needs I need to take the excess thread here and I'm going to
weave into into these um two rows
here okay whoops you don't want to get the seed bead all right so I'm just going to go back and forth for a hot
minute just really making sure that everything
is nice and secure yeah you could definitely turn
this in to a wearable so like attach it
to your gift and then have it ready somehow to
be turned into a wearable and so that could be with um that could be with and
let me just just let me bring this up for a visual here you could have we could have right
we could have put some in here and down
here all right and then we could have used a slider a slide clasp and that
would have been really stinking cool right so that that would be a fun way to turn a beaded gift topper
    into a jewelry piece
and what I was thinking of doing is I got the ribbon clasps out and so I was
thinking about using those on the hemp as my closure now I don't have a salvage
though but it is hemp so I don't know we're going to see what happens all right let
me let me let me let me okay I'm just going to come under
    here and
do do a little where you at I think that's what I want okay just do a little knot
there and I'm going to whoa what's happening here wait that's not
good okay we're going to have to is that my is that my oh that's
my I'm cracking myself up okay so I'm GNA have to bring in
    my fabulous little tool
    here okay
and okay and I'm just using the Wildfire
    burner very carefully to turn
these pieces like into little bundled up
knots you just want to kind of very carefully kiss the Wildfire like don't
hold it in place for too long because um you might accidentally burn your warps
and you don't want that nightmare okay so what I'm going to do let's see let's
see let's see I think I'm just going to try to nip I think I'm going to try to nip this
piece and then let's see if I can't walk oh it's
tight jul it a little I don't know
the the thing about this Loom is look at look at the
    construction right so the Eileen
Loom and the N Loom have this really really amazing
Construction so there's not like a lot of give so I'm trying to not cut those but I might not
have a choice let me see what's going on over here let me see if I can get a
little yeah well oh oh oh
maybe it's the little things that make me giggle right but man oh man and it's
not a deal breaker I don't know why I'm being such a weirdo I think it's the challenge right
it's just like the can oh see and I did it now I'll be a happy
camper all right let's get these other things out of the way
um I highly doubt we're going to be able to do but who knows to do the
um to do the Danielle trick but you just never know sometimes so
let's for Giggles I think because I did the loops usually it's a little challenging but now if I'm not mistaken
I think we come in oh look at that see yep that's awesome sauce okay so
just pulling so what I'm doing is I came in with my flats and I'm securing the project with
my left hand and I came one warp from
the right hand side over and I grabbed it and I very carefully started to pull
it okay and I'll bring that down and then if I'm not
mistaken this is a it's it's like giving a child um the fire uh sticks at a fire
show right so I can't remember if it's let's see this one's over there and
then what I'm going to try to do is I think I got to do is it this
one oh I think it's that one I think it's this one let's see what's happening
oh right because we're going from top to bottom if I'm not
mistaken okay so I'm just pulling these and you're oh you're going to be really careful when you do this because you
don't want to screw up your um your what Your stuff so the goal is to get all of
these all of these pulled down I think I might be making Danielle proud at this
moment I don't know for sure let's see
here but I think I'm I think I'm actually making myself Pretty stinking
proud okay so we got that now here's where we might have here's where we
might have a boo boo cuz if I try to now
let's see would I pull on this guy I don't think so I don't think that's going to work so I mean I think I did
okay I think I did okay I don't think there's any other options are there no
so this one this one um I think we've done it as
far as we can and I I think the reason why it's not going to go anymore is
because I did the loops and what does that mean to you basically that means
that somewhere along the way because I did all this sewing like when Danielle
does this technique it's typically on a flat project right with no loops and so
you have not accidentally sewn over the warps or into the warps and so pulling
you know in the opposite direction to like make the warps disappear it works
um um you know we got it pretty good but we didn't get it all the way and and that's
fine I'm not going to not going to sweat it but I am going to see for Giggles so
I don't want to pull that oh wait a minute I should be able to pull this guy right but the thing see I
think I think uh yeah in a in a perfect bead world I should have been able okay there
it goes but here's going to be the problem this not this Knot's going to be the problem
    and I don't think I can I don't think I can undo that knot
is there any way to undo this knot you guys are probably freaking out
right now aren't you let's this see for Giggles if I
can't because if I can undo this I wonder what would
    happen I wonder I wonder I wonder
let me just see I don't have like really massive fingernails you guys okay wait a
minute what's happening what's gonna uh what's gonna
happen oh you have to be kidding me right now I think I think let me see I'm G to be
really oh my hat come on keep going baby keep going don't do this to Mama I know
you got it in you oh what's keeping it from going what do you think is keeping it
from going I feel a little something but the something is up here what's come on now you're so close
you are so close I never bring myself to cut my warps I always want to do oh for the what is happening I don't
see it I don't see why this is not going any further and Brando's outside barking
going come on Mama you can do it what do you think that is I think is it because
I went on those first two rows and I wo back and
forth um I know you got it in you what is
stopping you look at that is it just is it just
I mean it makes no sense that it's not going it's not making sense I don't want
to pull too hard we were so stinking close dude come
on I do not see I do not see and this is not the
side where I did the burner so if you're thinking that no I just it's not
going and I don't want to rip it apart see how it's it's getting stuck
right there and there is no visual it's something something got
sewed you know how Danielle always says make sure you don't puncture your warp I
have a stinking suspicion when I Stitch too tight it won't work for
me huh okay well I did my best and I
don't no I don't know all right so let me go to
plan I didn't really well let me think let me think let me think
um I think that I think that I think that we're
going to have to do that and then and I think we're going to
just do a pretty little knot because this is going to be on the on the topper
on the gift so I'm not oh sorry I was out of the screen and we'll just do like another
one yeah so I must have stitched I must I must have like grabbed
that but that's okay so okay now I am going to have to
do one of these dug Mah hickeys right here that is is a technical
term you're fearless leader over here so I just brought in my needle to
act as a um something to hold this in place so I
can get that I can get the knot as close as possible
okay so kind of got these guys now I mean I'm going to say this is where a
lorry moment would come in Miss plumber and I would say that she is
probably thinking because she's good for this she likes to um she likes to have
these little towels for added in like beads right so I could I could find and I don't know if
there's any in this stash let's see for Giggles let's see if these big guys will
accommodate will they uh I don't know it's really oh oh
okay so we could do what's going on got like weird stuff happening okay that's
fun that's fun okay then let's try let's try over
here these are these are some big guys let's oh but we got to make sure this is
really okay where's this is the trick though cuz if
your cord ravels I might have to do the
um the spit the spit thing okay let's
see see if there's yeah see that's what I was afraid of okay hold
on okay you did not see me do
that let's see here see that first one that first one worked
but but that's fine cuz now we got one cool we got a cool one and then we'll just like do a little knot
here to hold it in place try to get that as close to it all
as I could you not first then I use some hypo and to make a needle
ah smart girl okay I like that do you think that would work on the 0. five um
because I mean the problem is that this 0. five um hemp cord is just it's not
yeah I see what you're saying though if I had some hypo I could you know rub
that together rub the end together put some hypo cement um on the end here and
then like make it into a needle because right now it's just like
fuzzy but I could also what if we cut at an angle without cutting my
finger let's see if we cut a little bit of that off and let's see what
happens oh my goodness yeah I think you probably have the best
resolve but let let's take the needle now and let's see if I can't push it
[Laughter] in they shall make this work Jules I I
made a video on the um jom using a leader needle to get thicker
cords into beads too that's to do I I posted the link in the okay good thank
you I definitely love that idea for sure okay well you know what we're gonna just
have one dangly ball and we're gonna we're just gonna
call it we're gonna call it even I think that you can see that
basically there are some possibilities right just some creative possibilities
and we're not going to like stress out about it all and I would definitely go back into
these little knots I do feel like I need to have a little
um I wonder if this will work look at me I'm being all determined now I shall get
another ball on here was what about this one this is probably way too Way Too
Thin and then I just Ray it okay forget it
don't over complicate it Jules okay
so okay so we just want to try to get that as close as we
can this thing is so pretty I know it's like falina right now but the front of this is like really
gorgeous you know if you put um um oh heck the
um maybe even a magnetic closure on the back of it because I know ladies don't like to get holes in their clothes so oh
    my gosh it's so stinking
adorable oh we did get to we did get some we got a big guy right there and one right there let me see um hold on
let me see I do have oh this might look this might be a fun background hold
    on does that
look you know what and hold on even one more second look how pretty that
is did that give it a little bit more light oh yeah oh yeah let's bring it up to the
camera so I mean basically so if we have that's the card but
here's you know so if the card is in
here and then we have it attached right look how pretty that
would be and then you can have this on top of the gift um what am I thinking though
about what I really think is that I if I
wanted this to be dual like I wanted this to be a gift and not just a Topper
then I would definitely do a row of the and so and a row of the on the
bottom so that I could use a slide connector and then you would have your Lobster
clasp up top here and then it could become like a pendant right so like a
pendant gift let me um turn down this light and
then I'm going to see what it looks like on the laptop hold on
    here
okay okay you want to bring me up really quick JN Be Me Up
Scotty okay oh whoa what was I doing off camera
okay let's see let's see if the lighting sometimes the laptop lighting is a
little little bit different let's see oh yeah you could see the little bit
better but it's so stinking little that you know it's just hard
it is it's just like this cute little this cute little funky I just see like
the little tutu and just like a cute little cute
    little bug yeah I I can't I don't think it's gonna yeah
anyway yay oh my goodness hi Gloria and Zach I didn't get to see everybody when
I was down on the table making fabulous things
oh good I'm glad you got your glad you got your sound back yeah but I I like the idea that if
you want to use this as a gift Hopper and then have it reusable obviously for
    um for a a wearable uh a wearable I
would do the one row of of the uh on the top and the
bottom of the project and and then use a slide connector because then you'll have
um The Lobster clap clasp and you can you know tell your person the receiver
uh that it could be worn you know as a necklace or something like that so I
love that that would be a lot of fun yeah something quick and easy I like
to um show our paper crafting Community our you know Journal community that when
they're using the Eileen hole Loom and of course you could do this with any one
of the Looms um but in particular if you're you know got the een whole Loom
then you can use it for traditional paper crafting type of stuff and um also
use it for a jewelry wearable so good times good
times so I hope everyone is doing well I know um uh we had we were in Non-Stop
prayers uh last night for all of our Floridian family and friends and uh so
far everybody seems to be okay I know that there was some damage and stuff
like that and we're still um praying for our North Carolina and East Tennessee
I'm not sure Joan could probably speak to how the recovery process in Tennessee is going
um are you good you wanna it's still going on I mean I guess they got like
one lane open on um each side of some of the interstates that are closed but like
I'm still constantly hearing helicopters at night go over our house you know for the rescue in some of the area so oh my
gosh that is so you know on it I mean I guess because they're using the tourist helicopters you know where you can go
out and so I guess they're earning their money during the day and then they fly there at night to take in supplies and
stuff all sudden it seems like when it starts getting dark that's when you start hearing them yeah yeah oh my
goodness that reminds me of 9911 because you know all the fighter jets would they
were the only ones that were flying over Philly and and Jersey and it was just so
you know so crazy but but still just thinking about everyone North Carolina's
got a huge recovery in front of them and you know I was was looking at our
customer lists to to determine but I don't know where all the cities are and so you know
just well the closest one to us really is just down the highway okay and um you
know because it's also up the lake from us so yeah okay yeah because you got close to you you almost had to evacuate
I remember right yeah the back of my neighborhood did the part along the river but luckily it didn't get there
was one neighborhood that got it badly down the road from us but luckily our grounds are high enough to where it only
affected backyard so luckily there oh I'm so happy I know everybody's relieved
to hear that for you so so luckily we see when we first got
married within less than three months our house flooded twice from natural
disasters and so Doug has a thing about making sure that we're on land that won't flood so ours is up pretty high
wow that's crazy twice in three months your house
flooded it the first one was 100 Year FL um flood and the second one was a thousand year flood we almost had the U
first time all fixed up while dislay down the carpet and then it again it was
worse you got to document that somehow because somebody needs to know that
story not everybody goes through that yeah I couldn't believe somebody bought
the house from us a couple years later I wouldn't have oh that's hysterical
because it was also up for sale at the time oh my gosh because he had owned it
you know before we got married oh that's like somebody above was like
you ain't living here yeah you ain't bringing your new bride
into this house Mister well they waited six weeks to do
it the first time Wowzer wow that is something else yeah
that is something else well I'm glad you're you were safe from those two things and and now this third time wow
yeah oh my goodness yeah we're just more concerned about our family in Florida
you know I had told you that so I had my sister really actually you know none of us are from Florida but my sister
happened to live not really from his brother florid oh my goodness so yeah
everyone I my girlfriend lived in the area in P Palm Beach area I guess West or whatever where they had like 53
tornado warnings and I was like are are you leaving and she's like no I'm like oh my
gosh but they're you know they're fine and um you know it it seems that the the
winds calmed and the water cooled and so I know people were just in Non-Stop
prayer so um yeah the tornadoes were really I guess hitting yesterday because
I was hearing yeah somebody I read on Facebook it was a friend of mine that they went through several tornado
warnings in just one day you know and it was different tornadoes yeah that's and
people are funny they're like well you guys get earthquakes I'm like yeah we don't know we don't know when they're coming and we don't want to know well
sometimes a tornado can catch you by surprise when it comes f it comes fast it's not like slow water coming
up you you better go seek shelter right away when you hear it's coming well you
know what I think it just is a big um a big reminder for all of us just to be
prepared for whatever so you know having your water and you know your
certain things on hand whether or not you think you need a generator or not or a power pack I have a list
um I'm even like exploring starlink now I'm like oh gosh I think I need
starlink that's what they're providing starlink to all these disaster areas out
here for free yes it's awesome you Elon doing that it's it's awesome a lot of people are doing a lot of great things
donating millions of dollars and a lot of you know good humanitarian things and people with with
the means to to do things or doing the things so that's good news but yeah yeah
got to have your got to have your uh your little I don't know what your um oh
heck your little thing to cook on and and uh and some water I'd have to
have coffee or somebody would get hurt you know right now we used to say oh well we got our gas stove we could cook
on that right now I don't think we have anything to cook on that doesn't involve electricity yeah yeah unless we use our
fire pit people were using their fire pits I did see that in the Carol in North
Carolina like there were people definitely using their fire pits to me you got to do what you can gotta do yeah
well you just do you know it's a good idea to like probably have like I said like probably some things like a grill
or something even if it's a camp Grill yeah like I'm you know I'm all I'm all
in for that you know me I'm like I'm like I'm like one one step away from buying a van
we've been watching this one guy he's remodeling his van into an RV I mean he bought a van just to do that though when
uh well his wife has Alzheimer's and so you know they know she's gonna pass away he's doing it to keep his himself busy
you know what I mean for her and so that's what he's gonna do what theyve always plan to do is um travel the
United States a but that's it's cool seeing you know he's working on that
converting it yeah no that I I am in awe especially of
the women who do it and let me tell you there's a lot of women who are who are
are VI Vanner no matters like there's a whole language for these people that
live like outside of a home and I super
loved living on the boat and um I don't want to do that again
but um unless it was with the right person
uh some sexy pool guy oh sexy pool guy
look at Joan upleveling my future dang girl thank
you wow I didn't have that on my list yeah
that just came out of my mouth I know it did I
know gonna fall out I'm okay with it oh
so funny okay Lori says that a friend of hers just got a mini RV and she and some friends go all over I'm I I don't know
if I said this out loud last week but seriously like I'm going to see Josh in
November right and honestly if I could just like if I had a
van I would just drive back out to the east coast I know I love driving like I
am not I am not a wimp when it comes to that like I got my plan I know how to I
find me a trucker I like get behind my trucker you know and I and I never you know I stop
before um Sundown and I just like have everything organized and I could
definitely you know do that and so um Volkswagen it's a Volkswagen
I'll have to get the type of it but they do a bigger version of a van but I'm so
little like I'm so afraid that if I go too big I won't be able to see and so I
kind of feel like that's why you test drive it I know but I just I don't know I and
then again I've been behind the Helm of a 51 foot yacht so I don't know what my problem and actually actually I think
I've been behind the Helm of an even longer boat but um yeah I
don't yeah watch out watch out so anyway you know I really eny that
you can do that because I don't think I could travel the roads by myself really I would have to I mean all by myself I
would have to have a partner with me I would love to travel this country but I would have to have a partner with me
yeah I don't know I mean when I came back last year across the country by myself with Marlon Brando you know again
I just I had to the what I did do was Joshua and I had just you know three
months or whatever before that had done it and so
I I stopped at the places that Josh you know my son and I stopped at so it was
kind of like I was repeating a pattern um but I also just got a system in place
you know like I I would follow a trucker that seem to be going my direction you
know I would get off at really big rest stop areas where there were a ton of
people because you know their safety and numbers right um I'm sheep dog trained
so I'm always you know got my eyes open behind my head on top of my head every
where I don't carry but you know oh I shouldn't say
that I did not say that I did not um I'm with Joan I would need a
friend well you know what it just sounds like I have to come pick you ladies up yeah there you go I'll go to Vegas pick
up Rosalinda and then you'd have somebody most of the ride here yeah I
mean you wouldn't be by yourself very long before picking up Rosalinda no because then I don't know
we'd end up probably picking up who else along the way
Ros yeah Oh you mean I went from California to Vegas yeah that's yeah
that's easy that's easy with me that's more than halfway across the country
yeah yeah I don't know I I I here's the thing when you travel this country and
you're on the 40 for instance like you see so much land and your mind
is just like you cannot believe that there is still so much land that is
undeveloped and raw and it's a trip it's just it's so and then I love how every
state communicates to its drivers in a different way like there some states and
they would like tell quirky little stories on their boards about
I was like seriously who pays somebody to do that Tennessee doeses that cute little thing to do something oh yeah
because when I first M here I thought it was hilarious oh my gosh it it's so there's just so much to see and do and
um you know and then there's nothing like stopping and getting real
jerky on the side of the road you're kind of beef jerky right
well I wouldn't get beef jerky I'd get turkey jerky or well okay I just wanted to make sure yeah why is could have been
taking two or three way you either got really weird on the side of the road oh
I don't know what y'all are doing in Tennessee but I'm just talking about jerky that you
eat that's all that's all I'm talk about well that wasn't how i v it
there I guess you could take it like three ways I guess so my God we we
haven't even left and we're in jail all right Rosalind there's a route that starts
from LA and it goes through to the east coast didn't know that well isn't that Route
66 um there is one that I know it goes to there's one that goes to California
to Tai Island Georgia which is outside of Savannah okay and I can't remember the name of because it's the one we take
once we get close to Savannah and they have it on the roads sign you yeah wow
you I mean I'm sure there's others does 40 go to um Interstate 40 go to
California yes it comes right in see that's right by my house oh yeah no no no you would take yeah you just like you
go this way and then you're on top you can go you can go this way through the desert and then it like takes you up to
Flagstaff and then you're like you're like you go over and then there's New
Mexico and then you have the top of the Texas
boot yeah that little handle up there at Texas I forget what it's called I mean
I'm still in love with Vega why am I so in love with Vega you know that yeah we broke down in
Vega Texas oh that's right you named a kid after it I did name a kit after it
and then we went into no I think that's when you would dip down into Tennessee I
don't know I'm already lost well Tennesse goes all the way across because well it doesn't go all the way across
Ross it it's it comes from North Carolina up and then starts going across all the way across to
um um when it gets to Memphis what's on the other side of Memphis is that I
think it's Oklahoma because I think I could go straight there and get almost to
Nay I think if I remember right Tennessee the top of Tennessee is
Kentucky Kentucky Virginia and Virginia side is Arkansas
and then oh it's Arkansas that's right that police show people are coming from Memphis into Arkansas that's right yeah
I think you have to go through I I know Missouri is only like eight hours from
Tennessee or six yeah Missouri's not that far away from Tennessee up up in the north yeah I just don't know how you
get to if you have to go through Kentucky or not I don't know but I'm seeing a road trip in our future
[Laughter] you know it'd be really fun is you get you get the east coast
south posi together and I get the West Coast
posy together and then we figure out how to meet in the middle like that would be
so funny and fun oh that would that would be fun and then nobody's
alone yeah nobody's alone we're all together
trouble but I would even it'd be fun to rent a bus and take a bunch of people I
don't like it was a different person every day or even I don't like buses buses make me want to
puke I am more being a bus than I am an airplane put me in an airplane from like
I will do international travel any day in an airplane I do not like bus okay well how about a van where at least six
people can sit in it yeah like if I'm I'm okay with a van I just don't like a bus we need to leave
room for luggage too you pack light on these trips I
don't know how oh my God I'll have to teach you I'll will have to teach you all
right Rosalind is in Rosalind is in yeah I saw that Ilana will come up and and
grab all of the the Floridians and and Lori will grab all the all the
people from the east coast and oh gut Lane said she's from
Australia and she drove California to Vegas on her own and they dve in the left at at Australia wow see I'd be
wanting to get on the wrong side of the road all the time especially when you're getting
    tired yeah I'm not I yeah that's that's a tough one I've never driven a car
overseas and I want to I don't either I I'd probably be kicked out of the country pretty quickly yeah you would
you would definitely you'd be in jail they're not even Gonna Let You Go they're just gonna keep you and put you
in jail all right next week um I do believe
that Danielle and I will be on with this month's creative Soul kit to do a box reveal and so um I'm super excited about
that and what's really cool with the box now the workshop is that we've doubled
up on the seed beads so originally there was one baggie of every color and it was
like eight to nine grams now you're going to get 18 of every color that's like a ton um and so you'll have plenty
of seed beads to complete your projects that Danielle is designing and um there's going to be a
baggie full of four different strands of check glass and um the findings and all
the good stuff that you're used to so we're really excited about that but we'll we'll have that box reveal I do
believe next um Thursday and there's a limited amount left so all the
subscriptions hit today and so if you want in on the October Danielle project
I would secure it because um I'm only able to make so
