    Transcript:

Oh my goodness. I don't know about you, but give me a long dangly earring
any day of the week. I love it. It just makes me feel sassy and it kind of makes
me feel a little taller. Let me know if you also enjoy a long
dangly earring. I'm going to show you how to make one. And it's actually really easy. I'm using the um baby jewel
loom and some six millimeter uh twohole squares that are just delightful. And
you know what? It also matches the happiness bracelet that we made not too long ago. I'll make sure that you have a
link for the bracelet so that if you want you can make that and then you'll be all matchy matchy for um all the
times that you wear it. So yeah, definitely let me know. I love it. I see
that people think it's fabulous and it really is. Hey, listen. It
doesn't have to be long and dangly by the way. You get to decide if you want to make it shorter and that's cool, too.
You could just make it four long. This is five. Trying to get up a little closer here. It looks a little sparkly.
Hey, listen. Let's go ahead and we're going to take it down to the mat because I really want to get the other one done.
Although, I was thinking, and correct me if I'm wrong, I do think that in the '9s, was it the '9s when wearing one
earring was cool? Was it only dudes that did that
or did girls do it too? Because I can't really remember. But I do remember a time and I do think that it was guys
that would just wear like one like super cool earring, right? I don't I don't
know if it was a girl thing. So, let me know if you remember. And was that the '9s or was that the 80s or was it like
both? I don't know. It was a great time though. That much I do know. Okay, let's
get to the mat. I'm going to bring you down to the camera. This is where I look
like I'm actually doing a podcast. But we're weaving. All right. Okay.
George Michael. Okay. The 80s. Thank you for that. All right. I'm going to bring you down to the mat so we can get
rocking and rolling and do the little switcheroo. There we go. It's so magical
when you know what you're doing. I do think um I've got the thumbs up that the the voice is good. And then I Let me
    turn off the
So, we're going to do this now. We got thumbs up. Now, we got thumbs back up.
Okay. Awesome sauce. All right. So, uh using some wildfire. And this is the
frost color. Um all of the items that I'm using, by the way, are on the homepage of the jeweloom.com
site. And some gorgeousness. You know what? Let me just let me just give you a
quick drool. Look at how pretty these are. What? Look at how pretty. Sunshine
in my hand. Is this not delightful? So, these are 6 mm two-hole square beads.
These are a yellow and they've got like a rainbow type of um AB like cut. See
that? See the little one peeking right there? So, on the backs, while they're still transparent, they do have Oh, look
at that. That looks really good. Okay, so these are in the shop. I brought these in just just recently, and I
thought, oh, we need sunshine earrings. Okay, my my wildfire went with the uh
went with them. Okay, I've already I have already warped my baby jewel
loom. This is the baby. This is half of the size of the original jewel loom. I love working with the baby jewel loom
because when you're just doing earrings or something small, you're not going to waste any of the beading thread. Um, and
again, in this case, I'm using wildfire. You do not want to waste that. So, I
have or I had here we go. I have my needle and I'm just going to find the
end here and I'm going to just tie on to that
left side. By the way, I hope you're having a fabulous day.
And I'm going to bring the needle and thread over to my left hand. This is my
left hand. And the baby jewel loom is like right in the middle of my mat. And
this is my right hand. So, we're going to Whoops. Yeah, we're
not going to lose our needle because that would not be fun. We're going to pull that up. And I'm going to bring the
needle and thread under the warp threads. And now I'm going to pick up
    six size eight
toho seed beads. does not matter what color because they are going to go under
the um slide connector. So, this is a great way to utilize any of your
leftover uh seed beads. So, we're going to let those fall down
and then I'm going to pop them up and in between
the little warpways. My needle is going back through and over the warps there.
So, back through the beads and over the warps. And then I'm just going to help let that glide.
That first row just usually wants to dance everywhere. So, just do your best to hold the baby loom and to also guide
the thread. I'm going to bring that up so you can see it. Isn't that great? And you know what? I'm going to push.
Let there be light. Let there be light.
That was awesome. Hey, now watch this. Needle and thread, left hand. This is my
right hand. And what I'm going to do is I'm going to turn the baby loom around because I want to take the needle
and thread. And I'm going back through that first row. And I'm under the warps.
And I like to do this especially on the first row just to make sure that they're
nice and secure, especially when I'm doing earrings because I really want that to be um I
want everything to be nice and together. And then I'm going to go back on the top
now. So back through. So it's kind of like a under over under over.
and we'll pull that. And now we're back to the left side of the loom. Coming
under and picking up our first two
our first two square beads. And we're going to let those fall.
And then we pop them up and in between the warps.
And then we're going to take the needle and we're going through the top hole. And again, I could see the needle
gliding. So, I know that that see that little silver. Can you see the silver part of
the needle? We always want to make sure that the needle is on top of the warps. If the needle is not on top of the
warps, Whoops. Keep getting hung up over here. Um, then the beads will fall off.
So, we're just going to get a give it a nice little tug. And they're on there. Nice.
And now I've got to go back through the bottom hole. So, can you see how I I
made the beads like stand kind of up and down, right? So, they're not they're not
flat with the warps. I pushed them down so that the second hole now is under the
warp. And from the left side here, I'm going through that bottom hole
and through both of the beads. I'm going to do a little wiggle wiggle just to make sure. And then I'm going to come
out. And then now I bring them up so that they're sandwiched in between the warps.
And I'm going to go back through the top of that hole. And now I've got my very
    first row of two holes
    on my warp threads.
See that? So let's do it again. Needle and thread are in the left hand coming under the warps.
And I'm going to pick up one, two.
I'm going to let those fall.
Needle is going back through the top hole and over the warps. And because I've got so much thread, you
know, it's just kind of getting caught here and there. You just have to go slow and help to guide it.
And then I'm going to go back through
that bottom hole while the holes are under the warps. And now I pop them up
and I'm going back through the top.
Once you get your rhythm and and you remember what you're doing,
you can do this quite quickly and you will remember. You just have to
practice. This is like a totally new um it could be a new bead for some of you.
You may not have used two holes before. What's really fun is this is 6 mm. So,
like you could take a 6 mm um fire polish and you can mix it. Now, the
beads that we have for our bracelet, our happy bracelet, those are fives.
Um and so they're a little bit smaller
and probably could have for giggles tried to use them, but I wanted to stick
with the two holes. Okay, so that Whoopsie.
Okay, so this is my fourth row.
And I apologize. I feel like I didn't tell you why I started with the eight with the 8 O's. I'm using a slide
connector to um to be my my ends, right, for my earrings for the top and the
bottom. And so the slide connector will go right over those 80 O's. And so
that's why it doesn't matter very much what color they are because you're never going to see them.
All right. So there's my fourth row. Coming back o under for my very last one. So we've got two more yellows.
And we're going to pop these guys up going back through.
And then Whoops. Pushing them down. And then I'm always checking to just make sure that I've pulled the thread tight
enough so that there's not like a a ribbon loose, like any loose
beading thread on the sides. That's always a bummer in the end if you didn't
pull tight enough. And yet you want to make sure that you don't pull too tight. So it's a happy balance, right? So now
I've got my five rows. I'm going to come back over. I'm going to pick up six more of the 8 O's.
So four, five, six. And really what you're trying to do is you're you're
using a size seedbead that will fill up, you know, the width of each warp, right?
So, three 8 O's in each one of these little alleyways, which did I pick up
too many? No. Okay. So, we've got those up there. And I'm going back through on
top of the warps. And then once again, I'm going to turn
my loom because I want to go under want to go under the warps back through
the seed beads. Whoops. Get back in there, buddy.
And one of the other things that I like to do, because as you can maybe see, look at how that's separating. I've
learned the hard way that I've got to go back in and really reinforce the connection of
that row and my two holes. So, I'm going to come back through
Okay. And I'm going to do it again. I'm going to go back through this top row.
It keeps wrapping wrapping around the baby. And then again, I'm going to go back
through here. And what I have realized is that I didn't do
that up here. So now I've got to go correct. And it's fine. I like these
earrings to be more sturdy than not. So, I've got enough excess beading thread
that I can literally weave back through the entire base.
And had I remembered to do this on that first row, I probably wouldn't
necessarily have to go back through. But for giggles, we're going to do that
because the earrings are on your ear. They're by your head, by your hair. So,
why not make sure that they are extra durable?
Whoops. Let's get everybody back together.
    And we're going through
and back again. And so this time what I'm gonna do
is I really Yeah. So I'm gonna go back through
back through that top row. Really making the connection between the square and
the 80 O. Okay. And then we'll go back through.
It's like you're stitching, right? Like if I always trip everybody out when I talk about hemming my pants, but I had
to learn how to hem my pants when I was a young girl because I'm short and uh
FYI, I'm going under right now. Um and so I had to learn because you know the
darn pants would be like a mile too long and I could barely afford to buy my
Jordashes, right? Remember how we saved up for those first pair of dittos or Jord dashes?
Who was the other one? Oh my gosh. What was the other pair of jeans? Anyway,
I um I So, okay, let me show you because I'm
going to get too excited here. I just came out of this bead right here because I want to
tie on to one of the warps.
And so I'm going to grab this middle warp.
And then I'm going back through the loop. And so that's that's my tie off. And
then I'm going to push the needle all the way to the back. Whoops. My goodness.
Okay. Awesome. So there's our second earring.
Right. No time at all. I mean, that went like super duper fast. And what I'm going to do now is I'm going to turn I'm
going to turn it over and bring in my scissors.
And I'm just I know that was hard for you to see because I had that turned over. Uh
I just nipped it off. I'm going to put my my needle over here so it doesn't end up on
the ground and in Marlon Brando's foot. He's awfully mad right now because I had to lock him out of the room. Um, I do
think for giggles. Let me just see if I can if I can get this tail. Oh, cool. All
right. So, then I'm just going to nip that. And then I'm going to turn the baby
    jewel loom over and
going to cut this end. So, remember the baby jewel loom is always in its warp position. So, we don't have to worry
about it like bouncing back onto the table. So, we can just cut our warps and
um our piece won't our piece won't bounce. I'm telling you, the Baby Jewel Loom is powerhouse, y'all. Look at that.
It is a powerhouse. It's got It's got good good jeans.
All right. So, we've got our ends here that we need to take care of now. And sometimes Yep. So, we're going to be
able to do our little Danielle pull the warp trick. It just kind of helps
to um so that we don't have to tie everything. And so, we've got like this
little guy. I'm just going to give him a little I I would call it like a little air knot.
Let's see if I can get that close enough to the
No, no, no. I want you down here, buddy. There we go. little closer. Nah, that
didn't work. Anyh who, that's fine. We'll just Oh, I'll just pull it down now. It's fine.
The magic that we don't even know we need. Okay. So, then I'm just going to come over here and I'm going to tie
these guys. And listen, this isn't like the most pretty thing in the world right now, but it's all going to be hidden, so
it doesn't matter. And then we're going to just do a little double knot. We'll
come over here. We'll do the same thing. Again,
the slider is going to hide all of this, so you know, we're not going to we're not going to lose our Cheerios
over it. Okay. And then I'm going to come in and I'm going to cut these guys.
Okay. And I'm going to cut this guy.
And I'm gonna bring in my handy dandy H Well, where's it at? Is it upside down?
It's just transposed different tacky glue, right? The original tacky glue in the Elen's bottle. Can't live without
it. I mean, seriously, I feel embarrassed. My glue should look better.
And I'm just going to take a toothpick, though, and I'm going to I'm going to get a little bit of white glue. And I
just really carefully I'm just going to skim a little on there. It's almost like I
put it on and I wipe it off all in the same breath.
Okay. And then we're going to get our So, it
looks like I need to open up my my slider a little bit more here. My
little cap on my slider. And sometimes sometimes they need to be pushed open a
little bit. So it looks like this one does. So we're just going to be really careful.
And then I'm going to slide this right over that. And see how
it all just disappears like it never happened. And we just want to get that get that
    last bead in there.
And I'm just bringing the little cap over. So there's
the top. And I did cheat sheet. I I pre-made these because I wanted to make
sure we got them done. But hey, you you uh you get the drift.
So again, I'm just putting a light coat of glue over those warps for giggles.
Again, I've just learned the hard way. Like I'm I must be really rough on my um my earrings because I've had, you know,
I've had a couple of them where it's like, "Oh, darn. How did that happen? I better make that a little bit more
a little bit more tight." Okay. So, omg. Um, hey, listen. I want
to I just want to go over again baby jewel loom. All right. This is the loom
I used. You certainly could use your original, but I'd like to use the baby jewel loom or the mini wisdom warrior
because you're you're not going to have um a lot of waste. I'm sure somebody
right now is thinking, well, could I use the m uh wisdom warrior earring loom? And I
would say you could try. I just kind of feel like maybe your warps are not going to be
long enough, but you can knock your socks off and try if you want to. Okay,
so those are the looms that I'm thinking of. Uh, wildfire or fire line, whichever
one you like. I just got turned on to the fire line. And I've got it. It was
less than it was less than one strand
of two holes. Okay. And that was five rows down. And I still had all these
guys left over. What' I have left over? Five. I still had five left over. Duh.
Five times five time 10, right? Do math,
Jules. Do math. Uh, slide connectors. You're going to need a a four. So, you're going to need two pair. You're
going to need jump rings. You're going to need head pens. I used some wood beads that are oblong just in my stash.
And then I had some leftover fire polish from the happy bracelet that we um that I'm going to definitely make sure that
you have the link to. And that's that's this gorgeousness right here. Look at that. Beautiful. Okay. So, yeah. So,
flat nose scissors. Um some cutters for my headpens cuz I had long ones. My
round nose pliers. You might want your chain um your chain nose when you're
working with the whatch you call these um the jump rings. All the technical
terms people. Okay, I'm going to come back up because I'm going to put this earring on. So, I'm going to switch I'm
going to switch the camera and let's see magic. Okay,
let me get out of the box. Let me um I should start a podcast though because I
look pretty good behind this whole situation. I'm just saying. All right, I'm going to
put this in my ear. Putting it in my ear. I put my hair up just so you all could see.
And plus, I think it's cute and it's a little hot. I mean, come on now. You know what? You
know who would love these? Robin. Robin would love these because I know she
loves yellow and reds and oranges and they're just so sexy and sassy and
fabulous. I'm going to bring you closer to me. Come closer, my darling. Come closer.
I mean, are you kidding me right now? Okay, so these are five rows long. If
you wanted to like not be so sassy, you could. Um, I like I like odd
numbers. So, I think going up to a three might be good. And then, of course, you
don't have to go so long with all this. This is just me. This is just Jules, you know.
This is just me. Uh-huh. Driving with black sexy sunroof open and my hair up
and my glasses going, "Hey, are you a weaver? Are you a weaver? I'm a weaver. You want to be a
weaver, too? You know it. You know I'm on the PCH
doing that. Okay. So, holy Hey, you guys, that was only 30 minutes.
So, so you could definitely once you get your rhythm down on these earrings, you're going to be able to knock them
out in under an hour. So, this is the kind of item if you're making jewelry and you're selling it. Are you kidding
me right now? these you need on your table. Especially
right as as of the recording of this YouTube video, we are getting ready to
go into fourth quarter here pretty soon. That's the holidays, the shopping. I
think you need to do these. Okay, Sandra says she likes long earrings. I love it. I love it. And Rosa and Linda, she's all
silly girl. Rosalinda, you know you'd be wearing these in Vegas. You know it.
Rosalinda, she'd be down on the strip going, "Hey, I made these
with her little like No, she'd be doing the salsa." Oh, girl, you need these.
You need these. She's going to make them. Hey, listen. I'm super stoked. Um,
okay. I hate to take these off, but I got to show you. So, we're destaching
two studios right now. Okay. So, we're deestaching and downsizing
um both mine and my mom. So, my mom like
used to do jewelry and stuff. She had like a ton of things that she just did not want anymore. And then my friends
over at Cool to Craft turned me on to What Not. And I was like, seriously,
I'm a little obsessed. Um, the great thing about whatnot is that it allows me to take all these destached items, turn
them into deliciousness and offer them to you at like crazy good prices because they're basically just
like oneoffs, right? So, one of the things that I came across when I was
cleaning out the studios and I'm going to like I'm going to very carefully take out my my one earring, but look at
these. Oh my gosh. Okay. So, I have I think there are nine kits left.
I think they're in there at $10. Look at Look at They're the chandelier.
Come on now. So, there's 10 kits. They have the crystals, the headpins, the
jump rings, the beautiful chandelier finding, and there's there's nine of these. I
taught these at a um when I used to do the bead and wine events.
Yeah, that was fun. I should do that again. I got to find a winery. Um yeah,
so those are going to be on whatnot tonight.
Look at these. I mean, it's just ridiculous. Like I took a lot of time yesterday and
I went through all of my mom's stuff and
yeah, I made some gorgeous kits for you. Some of them have two.
Most of them are ones, but I love this app. It's just fun. It's fun. It's just
another way to have fun. And you know, I like to put the effing fun. Okay. What is this? What era is this when you're
wearing two different earrings? Somebody answer that question. Did I
just start a trend? When When were we doing this? Were we doing this when we were five
or mine? Oh my gosh. Anyho, the links to join me.
So, I'm going to tell you that my shop's name on whatnot is Juliana's
jewels. So, I kind of I I I know I did just go Italian. You have to understand.
So, when I'm back east in Philly, it's Juliana. Okay. Ah, and you got to roll with it.
It's Italian. And when I'm out here in California, I literally had the bank guy
refer to me as Juliana. And I almost hugged him because I love it. I love it
when people say Juliana. I love it when people say Juliana and of course you
know I love my nickname. So the whatn not shop is Juliana's Jewels. The link
is on here. We're gonna go live at 5:15
Pacific Standard Time which is in 45 minutes. If you are watching this
YouTube video at a later date, you can still go there because I don't see
myself letting go. Who knows what I'm going to be reselling next after I go
through all these beads. Oh my gosh. I I have vintage jewelry.
I do. I do. I used to go to estate sales
and and sit in auctions and I would get a tray. I'm not even kidding you. Like I
would bid on trays of vintage jewelry because I thought that someday I'll take
it apart and use it. Well, guess what? It's still here.
So, you never know. But anywh who. All right. Um I adore you guys. I I love
that I'm able to come on and do this live. Thank you for your grace. I think the weave alongs will be fun because
I'll be able to bust out any loom and um and just do something. So, I hope that
okay, late 80s, early 90s for for wearing two different earrings or just
one cuz we were talking about that. Rosalinda says, "Isn't Orlla Orlla, am I
annunciating that wrong? I don't know." Or I think that's a city. Somebody else says the 80s. We were
talking about just wearing one earring. You know how dudes used to wear like they'd wear like a cross,
right? Like something like that in just one ear. I love long earrings. That's
Sandra. Gloria. Oh, Gloria, I miss you. Thank you. I'm happy to be here. Yeah.
Well, we're we're on a new roll. We're on a new roll. I needed a little break for a while and I'm back.
I'm back. Betty's in the house. Right on. Okay, so um since I've got a little
time, I think I'm going to take a throat lounger because after last week's show, which by the way, thank you all for um
we had a complete sellout. I think there might have been one item left. And when I got off after the whatnot last week, I
didn't have a voice. I have 31 items tonight. Last week, I only had 20.
Oh, yeah. But I'm so excited. I can't I can't stand it. I always call you
Juliana, even on Instagram and different earrings in the 80s.
That's so sweet. And Carmen's in the house. Yo, Carmen, what's up?
Anyway, okay. So, I'm gonna let you go. We're gonna um um be back. What is next
Thursday? Next Thursday is Oh, can I give you a couple dates to
tickle? I need you to tickle July
15th and and it's the year 2025. Again,
people might be watching this. Um, it's the year 2025. And you know what I always forget to do?
I always forget to tell you who I am because I'm such a weirdo. I just think everybody knows. Like, not really, but I
just forget, right? Because I feel like you're that come into my home. Come into my home. Hey, I'm Juliana, the inventor
of the Jewel Loom, and I make looms. That's that's my that's my gig. That's
my jam. Weaving looms, beading looms. I invented the original jewel loom, the
baby jewel loom. I do educational v videos. And I love to sell stuff.
I have a big background on QVC and HSN and jewelry television and any other um
thing you could think of. HGTV, DIY, PBS, TNN, Shopen Home, and what's the one in
Canada called? I did that once. I did that once and it was freezing. I never did it again.
But anywh who, I'm so happy that you are here. Whether you know who I am or you don't, I hope you subscribe and uh you
like the videos, you watch the videos. Let me give you a little secret, a little something you can do. Did you
know that the first 30 seconds of a YouTube video are like super important?
YouTube wants to see that close to 70% of you stayed in the first 30 seconds.
And that's what helps us creators get our channels pushed out.
Yeah, I paid a lot of money to learn that. And I'm not kidding,
but it's true. So that is so helpful for myself and for any other creator that that you like and you want to keep
seeing like that. That's a little thing you could always do. Just hang on. Hang on. Even if it's killing you, even if
your ears are bleeding, just hang on for 30 seconds. The first first 30 seconds
of a video. Just hang on. Do it. Do it for the creators.
Oh my gosh. Okay, listen really quick. I see you, Kelly. Did you get my email? I
hope that helps. Let me know. You can email me back. Um, Kelly is amazing. She wants to do the looms uh in the UK.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do think I'm I think I got that right. We're just trying to get them over to her. We're
just trying to help our international people, and we're having a little bit of a hard time in the Shopify. And so right
now, if you're international, go to the Etsy. But the name on the Etsy is Blue
Ocean Jewels. Okay. Is it Jewel or Jewels? I can't remember. Blue Ocean
Jewel or Jewels? I can't remember. But on the Etsy,
in the meantime, while I'm trying to get this Star International stuff worked out, you can go over to the Etsy and you
can you can buy the looms and they've got the duties and all the things set up
correctly. So, that that you can do, but I'm still working very hard to get it
resolved. So, Kelly, um, so good to see you here. Blue Ocean Jewels. Yeah,
that's the Etsy. I'm kind of everywhere. All right, I'm going to let you go. I
need to go and um powder myself before we do the whatnot. And make sure you
have that link. Hey, listen. There's a way that you can get like a $15 coupon to from whatnot. Not from me, from
whatnot. So, like if you're a new customer and you sign up, they give you like 15 bucks.
Who does that? I mean, that's pretty dang cool, right? So, look into that. Um, yeah, check your emails, love, and
let me know. And go check out go check out the Etsy shop, and I think that will at least get you the large wisdom
warrior sooner than later. Okay. All right. Thank you for being here. Um, and
don't forget to subscribe, like, and if you're really feeling fabulous, share.
All of those things really help help. And um if you're interested, come over to the whatnot in less than 45 minutes
now and we'll just have some fun. Don't feel like you have to buy anything. I mean, you can. We got to get rid of this
stuff. But if you just want to come and be supportive and hold my hand, that would
be great, too, because this is only my second one, and I'm all by myself tonight.
My God. Pray for me. Okay. I love you guys so much. Thank you. Thank you for your jewel loom love. Thank you. Um we
appreciate you so very very much. Everyone that works with the the team and making the looms, we just appreciate
you so much. And our dear, gorgeous Joan who's hiding out in the background who just wants to go to bed. She's like,
Jules, just shut up. Can you just shut up now?
She's like, I got to go to bed. All right. I love you guys and I'll see
you again next Thursday. tickle July 15th. That's not a Thursday, but that's
going to be a fun day. I'm going to like sneak I'm going to do some livey lives from somewhere. I also want you to
tickle the last two weeks in September. I can't tell you why, but just do that, too. Okay? All right. Thanks, everyone.
