laughs oh my goodness I have like this totally
kind of like um Chic cowgirl thing going on right now kinda I don't know maybe
[Laughter] yeehaw hey everyone
welcome welcome welcome to jewel loom School live
and um I am your let's see I guess I'm your host I'm your teacher
I'm your coach I'm your biggest cheerleader my name is Juliana for those of you that
do not know me I love it I was talking to somebody earlier uh back east and
when they responded to me um it was spelled with the G so like when I'm on the East Coast it's with a G Juliana
right and when I'm out here it's Juliana on the West Coast and so I love that and uh and then of
course my nickname is Jules so that just pretty much is what it is anyway we've got Sherry and Maria and
Cynthia and Becky and Lois hello hello hello I know it's later on the East
Coast um so I was really excited because my my
uh my what do I call him my bead pin [Laughter]
um my buddy my buddy John uh he took a drive up to his Michigan location a
couple weekends ago I guess now or one week I don't even know I can't I've lost track of time and uh and showed me some
beads and they were these gorgeous triangles that I've had in the shop of
different colors and it's kind of hard to tell but they're an Amber with an
opal and they've got like this gorgeous purple lavender running through them
they're absolutely gorgeous in person and um and so anyway I was like you know
what I did that triangle boomerang project for the creative soul group
um I want to say it's been well over a year if I'm not mistaken is I don't know
John what do you think I think it's been like well over a year and um and so I thought I'm gonna do that and we
coordinated a bunch of the fire polish beads and so um and so yeah so I brought that kid in
it's really Joan and I yesterday were I was here taking photos
change the background a couple of times um and and they're they're when a
palette that is more challenging to photograph but let me just tell you they are absolutely gorgeous and I think that
you will have a lot a lot a lot of fun with them this is the bracelet that I
actually made and so it's really fun because it's you know you kind of have like the
see-throughness of it all and I love it because you can just like put it on your gorgeous skin
and so this um example is definitely what I would refer to as the cuff because I did
um I did eight warps and it's well look at you know it's
awfully you know it's pretty big but what I'm going to do today because I
really want to show you the process of how to weave on the one millimeter hemp this is hamtique
by the way you know I love you hopefully they get a chance to tune in I
did tag them over on the Instagram um and these are made with the hemp teak as well these are like my favorite
your favorite I'm loving actually I'm just gonna can we just kind of get like a Vibe shout out for what I got going on
what I got going on here right now because I got I've got a straw hat with take a closer
look what do we got going on up here this is the beaded pattern 100.
and this is just a simple hat band there's two hat bands on my hat
and this one is just nothing but fire polish sparkly fire polish Isn't that
cool okay so that's the Hat and then we've got the earrings and they
were made on the loom as well this this was all made on the large wisdom Warrior
and then these guys were birthed and designed and inspired by Deb Deb florist
when she was on a couple months ago now so anyway I don't know kind of kind of
feeling like um bohoey cowgirl girl
I don't know what's the vibe somebody tell me is it cool and is it good love
the net look of it I don't know what that means
but you like it okay I like it too my hair so it's also because my roots are
like two inches long so I was like I gotta I gotta like cover my
roots so okay so this is the look courtesy of jewel loom
by Juliana what do you call a Midwest Juliana oh my gosh
anyway a southern Juliana what do you call a Southern Giuliana if it's Juliana on the west and G on the East what is it
in the middle somebody do tell [Laughter] anyway so today what I want to do is I
did warp okay so I already warped the jewel loom remember how we talked about that little distance right here this is
a good Warp the bracelet looks like a net yes yes
like a treasure net like you could hold it up and just imagine all the treasures that are that
are on the other side I love that it's very cool okay so it's about a two inch
Gap this will tell you right here that um you know when you have the bottom of the jewel loom and then you have your
warps see how this is and then you have like this two inch distance between the
bottom of your jewel loom and the top of your warps right here that's good that's good warp okay good distance
that's when you know that your loom is is um
warped not too tightly right because sometimes I'll see looms and they're almost folded in half and I'm like
remember flexible not bendable so I did
four warps on this particular bracelet on the full size one I did eight
but I want to do the four because I want to show you the versatility of the kit all right the kit retails for 25
these two strands of beads alone are 20 bucks okay they're just a higher end
bead there's more glass they're going to be more costly the entire kit is 25 you
get the two strands plus you all these are fire polish beads they're just clear so there's like another 25 so what 50
fire polish 50 triangles and then three more strands of fire polish but wait there's more uh
four yards of hamtique all right so if you want to break it into two you should be able to do two bracelets there's only
one button and it's ginormous and I'm not going to use it on the smaller project I'm probably going to go through
my stash and look for something um you could definitely use one of the
um you know one of the wood buttons from the jewel loom package for sure okay
so let's get started again full size cuff
um I've got a six inch wrist this one came out a little bit big I
don't know yet why it's a little little more loose than how I like to wear it I like it I
like the Cuffs to be a little tighter so um you know just think about sizing
before you get started if you have the large wisdom Warrior or
the even the large Sun Weaver you might want to consider
using you using one of those Looms in fact you'll you'll have less
less waste if you use the large Sun Weaver because her front
her front is only what is it 18 or 19 inches where the large wisdom Warrior is
like 24. your call or use the original jewel loom like I am just make sure you
know your wrist size and you work all of that out okay all right so with that
said I'm going to put all these other things to the side
and I guess we're going to try to do the you'll overhead trick here and make sure
that it works I'm gonna uh wait are you removing me I don't want to touch anything
okay there we oh my God thank God you're here okay
so let's bring this down a little bit okay so I'm
I'm gonna start right see this the hole right here I'm gonna start right below
that for the weaving process and let me just give you a peek so I did four warps and I skipped one
two grooves the one millimeter hemp is too thick to
go into a Groove so it sits on the grooves so it's sitting on like the
third one right so here's pimp skip one two then it lays and then skip
one two and then it lays and then one two and it lays down okay
so you're gonna make four warps and you are going to skip two
and to get started I'm using beige wildfire
which I just have to tell you all that's all I ever have used other than fishing line
um so when you ask me questions about other beading materials I honestly am
not proficient with other brands because I literally just don't use them
so I'm a big Wildfire girl always have been and I'm just going to tie a knot
I'm gonna try to anyway all right there we go and actually it's just like a little
little knot there and then I'm going to take the needle and thread and I'm going to come over and I'm
I'm coming under the warp so my needle and thread is under the warps I'm going
to transfer that over to my right now my first bead is going to be one of these boomerangs and the way that I have to
pick it up is so you see where the tip of the triangle
the tip of the boomerang is facing to the right over here and it's solid bottom is facing towards
the jewel loom it has two holes there's one right there and there's one right there
in order for the top of the boomerang the triangle to
be facing up towards okay up towards the ceiling
you need to take your needle and thread and insert the needle into the top hole
so I'm going to move my hand okay so the needle is in the top hole
and the tip of the boomerang the tip of the triangle is facing away from the
jewel loom all right and then we're going to just pick it up let it slide and then I am going to I like the
pattern I did over here let me follow this let's see what I got
um oh wait wait wait taking it off
taking it off okay I love it when we need to do one solid row real quick here
so I saved us I like to start off before I do this
project and I'm so sorry but it's better to just like correct myself right and so that you do it correctly and then we
don't have um we don't have bad project so same thing I'm under the loom but I'm gonna
pick up three of the um the little four millimeter clear fire polish beads
I'm just going to do a solid row before I do anything else whoops
back it up and then we're just going to pop those up in between take our needle and I am
going to tell you right now that the one millimeter hemp it's very thick
and um but I love it now people you know a
lot of people who use both um some people will only do the 5.5
because it's thinner but I'm a big one millimeter fan I just love the thickness
of it and I'm going to bring this up okay so that's our first row
and now I'm going to go into adding the boomerang and so again I'm going to
place it so that it's solid side all right the straight side is facing the
jewel loom and the tip of it the boomerang this little tip is facing
um to the right and then I'm going to take the needle and I'm putting it into the top hole scoop it up on and then I'm
going to pick up a lavender bead and then I'm going to pick up one
more of the booms and then I'm going to let those slide
and we're going to pop those up and in between I'm going to come up to
okay and then I'm going to take the needle and I'm going to come through
the Boom through the fire polish and then through
the boom again and this is my first row okay
okay and then I'm just gonna really careful here because remember how we've talked in the past we want to make sure
that there's no loose Wildfire on that end warp and so it
looks good and then I'm just going to tilt forward to make sure that they're nice and aligned
beautiful and then I'm going to push them down so that the bottom hole
okay the bottom hole now is underneath the warps and I'm going to take my needle and I'm
going to go through the bottom hole and then I'm going to pick up one of these beautiful greens Green Fire
polish beads slide it on and then I'm going to scooch up the boom
put the needle through so now my needle is through the bottom holes of the
triangles and I've got that fire polish on there and then I'm going to help guide it
through [Music] and it's it's tight that one millimeter
amp it's so cool I love working with it and then we're going to push these up
okay and then I'm coming in from the right side the needle is on top of the warps it's going through the holes
and over okay so there's my first row
okay and then I just go back and I check it out make sure it's all nice and
aligned and we're good okay so now what I'm
going to do is I'm going to separate the next uh triangle by
some fire polish and let me think what color do I want to put in here
I think I'll do I think I'll do um what do I want to do I'm going to do
a row oh my heck what do I want to do
what I want to I'm gonna okay I'm just gonna keep doing this I'm gonna I'm gonna actually
Infuse um the clear but I want to get one of these guys let me get a topaz and then
another clear okay and listen there's no right or wrong
it's just what is you know attractive for you and then I'm going to pop those up
let me come down and then I'm going to once again I'm putting them
through you could kind of see how I'm like I'm putting pressure on the hemp cord
again it's very thick so you see how the beads are kind of slanted let me come up
a little you see how I'm going to go in at an angle if if the beads are telling me that this
is how they want to align in order to get the needle through Just Go With It
all right don't try to force it to be straight because we can fix that afterwards so I'm going to pull through
and then of course we're you know we need to come back and then we'll just right before that
final pull okay we're gonna guide that in there and then I'm going to come I'm going to look
I'm going to be like okay yeah we need to pull a little tighter get everybody in a line and perfect see
so you don't have to struggle with it and again
um you know the one millimeter you know you could use five I added one in the kit because I just love how sturdy it is
I'm really um a big fan of that okay so we're gonna pick up another boom and
then this time um I'm gonna reverse so I'm gonna go with the green
and then I gotta get one of these guys over there and we're going on that top
and then I'm Gonna Let Them Fall
so once you get your Rhythm down you can probably see that making a smaller
version um of the cuff so okay here's another example here's
what's happening is that it starts to get like a little there's just a lot going on right you got this gorgeous one
millimeter hemp you have these beautiful beads then you just have to be patient so see how that you just gotta kind of
like push on the bead a little bit push on the hip be patient and then just let that needle get in there and do its job
okay and then we're going to push these down because I got to do the bottom hole
and I just kind of like I want to make sure everything is nice and straight
okay and then we're going to this and then
we're going to do a lot or purple these are beautiful by the way and we'll put that on the needle
okay and then I'm going back through
okay let's see where are you little guy it's vegan it's sneak attack sneak
attack over the hemp and in there we go
my thread keeps getting caught over here on this side so I just want to take a good look and make sure that I don't
have any loose wildfire and it's looking really good super fun
okay and um now I'm gonna come in and this time I
think I'll just follow um where I'm gonna do three of these guys
and we'll pop them up and again we're just going to let that
needle now you just want to make sure that the needle is not pinching the hemp because
then um it won't want to move so don't put your needle through the Hem
and we're a little crooked so as we pull we'll just straighten everybody out there we pop perfect perfect okay
and again we'll bring over a boom make sure the straight side straight side of
the triangle Boomerang is facing the jewel loom I'm putting the needle in the
top hole and what does it look like I'm back to back to a purple
so now if you were doing the full size um cuff version like I originally made
you would just be adding more beads and it would definitely take you a little bit longer but I will say yesterday when
I made the bracelet I feel like I got it done within an hour
so still not too bad a little bit more patience because you have a lot more hemp to deal with you
have a lot more beads to deal with but it's gorgeous
and you could see that I'm just I'm working on all these guys making sure because I don't want them to
overlap the previous row so I just gotta kind of come in here yep we're all good
okay and then I'm going to go through the bottom hole and it's time to pick up one of these
very beautiful greens back through
you know there's so many color combinations that you could create too and it's a great way to use like your
leftover fours um if you have any
and then we'll do the um clear
and so and here and here's a little secret
actually the palette okay the palette that I'm working on over here all these
beads that I've been pulling from this is what was left over after I made the cuff
so you really are getting a tremendous amount of beads uh to make
to make more than one of something oh and remind me too I'll have to see if it's behind me but you know we made a
ring with the boomerangs and that was really fun
so we could kind of see like here here we go again where they just kind of want to go in at a diagonal and that's fine
we're just gonna it's a lot easier to just do what they want to do and then fix it
so once we pull the thread
then we'll just start to push up okay
all right and we're going to come back under pick up another boom and it looks like
I'm on Green again such a beautiful bead
the color of this Amber opal purple is so pretty it's like swirly and um
and I just gotta work that needle find the other there we go
time for this this work gets really quiet because you get in this meditative
state and the project really starts to come
okay and now it's time for a solid row
thank you so if my calculations are right I bet
that you could make a thinner bracelet a thicker bracelet and a ring with this
kit which is crazy for 25 I mean come on you're going to be able to make three
three items that's pretty good
I always like to make sure things are lined up okay and then back to a boom so again the solid part of the triangle
bead needs to be facing the loom and we'll put our needle in the top there
that top hole and it looks like I'm back to green or
in my back to purple purple wait let me look
back to purple okay and I'm just following what I'm just
kind of came up with it's not like a legit pattern but it's what I'm doing I did take a close-up of the big cuff and
we'll have to figure out where to um I guess I could just put that in the shop and then you should be able to um see
from there like what I did I don't know if those are downloadable
or not I think they are they are okay and then um
what am I on a green I'm on a green thank you
maybe making sure that everything is I'm going to bring it up to the camera here
I mean you could see we're really toodling along here like again once you get the Rhythm down and you know what you're doing it's going to go quite fast
and then we're going to have a solid row so um
to come along buddy there we go three
hopefully you um understand like you know how those beads want to go in an angle just follow them and then just
push them into place it just makes life a lot easier
and we're going to be back to the booms and it looks like green right so now
we're going to be on a green and get a boomerang
I love these beads yeah it does it weaves up super quick
it's quite it's quite interesting because at first I you know um I was like oh I love this project but
how's it gonna you know how's it gonna work out and it works out just fine
oops um where yeah bud okay there we go
um by the way I never pull my needle with my own Like My Own Strength I will
it just says safer Giggles that was stuck right now I'll bring in my flats
and I'll grab it and then pull there's something about the distribution
of the weight with your Flats versus your hand that it doesn't you know want
to make your needle break if that ever happened okay and then we're gonna push it down
and we're going through the bottom time for a gorgeous purple
and then we're going back through the whole
really really pretty okay and then coming back under and where we have three of these guys
thank you yeah the colors are just so pretty and I
hope that they were a little challenging to photograph I don't know why um just on the darker side I guess with
the camera but they are absolutely gorgeous okay I'm just gonna for Giggles I don't think I'm done but I'm gonna um
let's see how far okay oh so yeah I just have one more section to do look at how
fun that is super beautiful okay I got one more
so I'm gonna pick this guy up and what color and a purple
[Music] I don't know if you can hear that sound can you hear that Joan can you hear any
weird sound like hammering yeah so I would just have to say that um my mother's new
owners next door um definitely have a few
Awards and some that I'm just gonna keep to
myself but I've never you know in relationships you know it seems like
when there is lack of communication and disrespect
for other people no courtesy even when you do have a
conversation and you talk and say hey you know I've got this really important thing I do at four o'clock on Thursdays
you think maybe you cannot use the Jackhammer and make noise and um it's just funny to me how people
just sometimes just don't care anymore but I apologize for that if it's bugging
you because I did say something and apparently my ask
okay now um let me just bring the bracelet in one
more time I do believe that this is um going to be the final row
so let me bring that up a little here okay perfect all right so let me bring
okay and so what I'm going to do next is I'm going to take the needle and thread
and I'm going to go under the warp
and out and in between that first and second bead and this is just how I'm going to tie
whoa whoa whoa what you did tools oh
and I'll just do it again for giggles and all I'm doing is making a little knot
okay and then I just like to take the needle and then I'm going to push it back through
foreign so the thing is is that when you do tell somebody that yeah we won't be making
that noise then that person being me doesn't make alternative
and so oh yeah yeah anyway okay so I'm just gonna nip this off
like it's there okay and take this and um yeah so
there's our oh and I'm just going to do this really quick I'm going to come under here
I made that a little short usually I like to re-thread it and um
and so I'm just using the flats to help me tie this very little knot and then
what I'm going to do is I'll take the wild fire burner
back there and then I'll come back when I'm not on air and so that I can concentrate and not
burn my project and I'll Sizzle that off with the Wildfire burner and then we're just going to turn this
and then we're going to unravel that
and we're just going to come over here now and we're just going to do what we normally do which is we take our
um you know we take the two pieces and then we're just going to make like a little
little knot and then I'm very patient with it I don't go really fast and pull really
hard because I don't wanna I don't want the warps to shift
and that's going to be hard to work with so we'll just move this over
here now like I mentioned earlier I'm not going to use the large button this one
it's just too much for that little project so I'm gonna um probably look at my button collection and figure out you
know what button I want to do
and let's see where did you come from I'm gonna get in here really quick
new batteries are amazing they make the Wildfire burner work
really quick and so I'm just going to get this secured
um because like I said I'm not sure what button I'm gonna use so I don't want to
um make my Loop but I do want you to see how I'm securing these ends
and then I'll bring the cuff in so you can see up close
both ends there and then we'll use the same technique where I you know I added
the button I put the the um hemp through the one hole and I didn't have a lot to
tie so I used some artistic wire which is like this gorgeous purple wire to
match and then I made a loop at this end and I
was able to um to do like a loose knot it's really kind of pretty
looks very cool um but I didn't have enough to like really make it secure so I I chose to
add some wire and I just wrapped the wire around the ends of the hip okay
so there's the two different bracelets hold on one second I'm going to stay in the overhead I want to see if I can't
find the ring that I did with the triangle beads
because I'm almost positive that you're going to have enough [Applause]
to do that Believe It or Not these drawers were
once very organized and Rings were in one drawer and bracelets were in another drawer
time to organize time to organize the bin scan
well that's a bummer basically very similar technique if you think
about it um let me see hold on is it in this drawer
well I'll be darned all right I tried couldn't find it
um imagine just imagine it this way so like say you had your two boomerangs you
know like you could you would have your two booms and then the rest of everything would be a seed bead or I
mean not for nothing you know I mean that's a pretty chunky ring but you
could like you could like play it big and go that way kind of cool
but super sweet little bracelet if you decide to do like you know just the two
and then of course really sweet um if you go with the full cuff I think you could go either way and you would be
really happy such a beautiful color combination all right I am going to let me turn the
the bar lights that I like to call them because you know when they turn on those horrible lights
okay let's turn that down and Joan if you want to bring me up
somewhere look at the party got really wild over here my hair fell out I don't even know
[Laughter] I don't know if um oh my gosh who was it
where did it go oh so when I was in the check I lost my my hair pick my beautiful hair
pack and I made this by the way on the loom and
I was so bummed and I can't remember who it was but lo and
behold some of the some of the guests some of the tours some of the peeps right they
saw it laying on the floor and they were like this looks like Juliana
so thank God I got it back but it literally just made its way out of my out of my hair I was so intense doing
that um doing the bracelet but I hope you get the idea so we'll just you know add a
button a smaller one of course because this one is just like it'll be way too big if you downsize from that but the
full version is just really really a lot of fun um I can't wait to wear it out it's
gonna be it's totally matches my whole vibe right now hi Wendy so do we have any questions hi
Karma and Zach I appreciate you all tuning in um again once I got the flow going
yesterday when I was making um the bigger cuff I think it was yesterday or the day before I can't even
remember now the um it went really really quick so it kind of looks complex
but I think once you get it in your mind like what the rhythm is what the pattern is
what you're doing then it just goes very fast and so um
when you are making the cuff I will tell you that there were a couple of times
where it does get a little bit more tight in there and so again the
um for instance there were a couple of times where I got the needle through say
three of the holes right and instead of struggling I just pulled it
through the three holes and then I went through the next ones you know what I mean like however you
get there you get there and so there were a couple of times for me when that happened it may not happen
with you but just an FYI don't worry about it don't fight it just know that
you're dealing with this very tiny little hole you're dealing with the one millimeter hemp which is fabulous
and just be a little bit more patient listen to The Bead go with it and and you'll be fine so
oh you're so welcome Maria thank you thank you Linda can you show a close-up of your fabulous earrings
um let's see let me get this mop out of the way
foreign so you're going to weave hemp cord first
okay this is just like different layers of hemp and then all this fun funky stuff is
um uh uh some yarn that I had bought moons ago at Michael's however I have
seen it um I have seen it on the shelves at Michael's since then and they're just
Ryan knots at the end uh correct me if r y
a right is it r-y-a Raya Knotts I don't know if you Google it it comes up right
and um and they're just fun and I just did a ribbon uh crimp
and so I just took the ribbon crimp encrypted into into the hemp so I I did
promise well no we already did I thought we already did these when I was doing
the segment with Deb Jones weren't we also watching what I was doing
yeah so there is um there is a tutorial uh coinciding with
what Deb was doing but you can watch that you know I like them very
inspirational kind of what I try to do yeah
very cool okay yeah um but Linda yeah there's definitely um that video with Deb floors
um where she was doing really they were called something um what were they called I don't know
John oh she just found it Jones liked the amazing there you go so Joan just posted the
link to where you can watch the tutorial I do want to mention that the new color
palette for the jewel loom starter kit is um a gorgeous red speckled bead with
a beautiful black fire polish and so you'll have the black hemp cord and
you'll still have the daisy button I'm probably going to go back and make this all black and then put some um
uh resin on it or something to make it shiny but the
um you know the configuration with the starter kit once those beads run out I just I I add what I've got and I've got
a ton of these and so um that's with that's the new kit
for the jewel loom starter kit again I you saw that I used the jewel loom today
if you have a bigger wrist or you have the um um
large Sun Weaver I think that where she at
a large sum Weaver that that would work you can make you can make the cuff
bracelet on that um and of course the large wisdom Warrior you could do that too so
yeah fun stuff fun times Hey listen if there's something
um that you want to see I know there's been a lot of asks and I try to remember but
um sometimes I don't remember so if you are
waiting to see something because I feel like there was something I was supposed to demo and I can't remember what it is
so um just let us know you could text me and just say
um demo blah blah blah and then I will because yeah I I want to follow and do
what you need um foreign so this is the month Joan is not going
to be with us next week [Laughter]
I don't know what I'm gonna do but um next week would be a perfect
tips tricks how do I type of Thursday it would make
it make it really good so if there's something that you want me to demo or
talk about um let me know text me at the number Joan I know you got that number we can
do that and um that would be really great and then that way I don't have to um
stress a q a yeah like it like what um we'll do a q a we'll do tips and
techniques but give me some ideas what do you need from me
in regards to bead weaving
the other topics are after midnight
poor Joan I it's so it's like three hours ahead on the East Coast
you want to come back up and we'll say goodbye
all right let's see let me remove this uh there we go there's all right there we go it's pretty in blue too we're
matching yeah I got my eagle oh I know you're such a um you were like
a mama Eagle when it comes to that you really do a lot to help get the word out you know which I every
time I see one of the Mouse um like they put them out at restaurants
and stuff right and they're the poison traps yeah and then I'm just like dude like then you know like the birds and
stuff I don't like that um you know when they're growing the eaglets are grown in their feathers the
blood actually runs through the feathers and a three or four years ago there was
an eaglet that actually bled to death because um the parent brought in you know a dead rat that had gotten poison and um and
that's really a blood thinner it's like Warfarin or something like that and um
and it broke you know eight at the same day it broke its feather on the nest and it bled to death
you know because they were planning on getting in the morning because of that poison
oh my God you know they couldn't get there in time because you know by time it happened it was already you know it
was too dangerous to go up there yeah well I love that you are a mama
eagle and not you know all of that stuff it drives me crazy I
just want to take them all but then I'll you know so okay you're gonna be gone next week on vacation and you're going
to be doing some cool things going back to a place where I lived for
five years and we're going to be visiting some of my favorite places our favorite places to go there
because we haven't been there since we moved 14 years ago so yeah and you'll be
with you'll be with hubby yeah yeah so he's got to put up with me for
that time yeah it's just me and him oh
boy I'm sure it'll be fabulous yeah
good stuff well I appreciate you and I'm gonna miss you and it won't be the same
without you and um but you've got to definitely take some time and I mean I went to the check
I guess you get to go I get to go to Michigan
oh my gosh yeah and you know Trisha is um recovering from double knee surgery
that went well from what I hear she texted me and and it was her birthday I was like
you've got surgery on your birthday but um but I definitely for those of you
that got the creative Soul box um I haven't had a chance to talk to her but she was saying she was going to do
seed beads around those capuchons that were in the box and so I'm hoping when
she feels better maybe she'll do a video for us you know what I want to do with some of them too is I open them up
online to see but they have glue on Shanks so I want to make a few of them into buttons oh yeah oh that's a great idea I love
um check glass buttons oh you'll have to um you'll have to do a little baby demo
on that yeah it's real easy yeah yeah
but just even like well where did you get those from like you know and then just kind of talk about the glue you use
I think that would be really smart because not for nothing one of those buttons will look good with my um
with my little baby thin bracelet that I just made that's what I was thinking because you know even if it doesn't go
all the way all of them go through the shank you know I learned this with um you know leather thing and I actually
get it in one of my tutorials the ones that won't go through the shank just put around the shank but tie them all
together on the other side of the shank oh and that you know that's what I'm doing the leather so don't stress
yourself out about like if you can't get all your hemp cord or your whatever's through yeah just okay what you can't
get through you know so try to do the middle ones first yeah no I love that and I just love that you said
that you did that on one of your tutorials do you see do you see how you are
designer Joan it's happening whether you want to admit
it or not one of my tutorials I don't feel like it
you know it's just oh you're so awesome we love what you do oh
thank you Maria keeps calling me closer Queen Joe
oh my God you'll have to tell me what that's all
about showing different ways to end projects oh I love that you know you know like I
just did with the shade yeah no I you know what on that title own it
that's your category that's your category girl oh my goodness
well um thank you everyone for being here Joan we will deeply miss you next week I
can't even I don't even think about it um and Maria
um by all means if you want to ask the group what they want to know the Mark we're so overwhelmed over here
we need all the help we can get so if you want to tackle that Maria
I was kind of disappointed when you said that um you know I had to stay with the Jill
Loom jewelry for questions for next week because I was gonna pop on and start asking some other questions
[Music] okay well you know the personal side oh
okay I could see where we need like a whole other live
no I think it needed to be on a different channel for that one
oh my God thank you for the belly laugh I needed that was awesome
you were silent but sadly Joan just comes out of left like
[Laughter] questions I'm gonna ask right Robin adults only
oh my God I have to change it to Jewel boom
yeah yeah we're not gonna say that
we have no fun [Applause]
I'm gonna get kicked off I better be good yeah you're gonna get this channel banned
it wasn't my fault YouTube wasn't my fault well we haven't really said any dirty
words no we cannot we've been there anywhere
no oh my gosh hey you know what also go show um him teak some love too
um on their Instagram and and uh if you are using him uh hemp cord make sure you
do the hashtag hamtique they're they're just um they're one of the companies that I
love I love their integrity I love their sustainability I love the family
um and I just want to make sure that we're giving them we're giving them love whenever we can because they're good
stuff yeah I've been using it from you but a friend also sent me a big spool well I
wouldn't say a huge Bowl but a big spool of it and I think it's really cool and it's a 0.5 millimeter and I I actually
am one that loves the 0.5 millimeters and you know what you dot you whatever
floats your boat boo yeah actually you know there's times it depends on your design whether you want to use the
points it does it does what are what is this you know what I this this might be
0.5 see for me to weave quicker I probably would have used one millimeter
and that can go either way too like that can either be a true statement or not believe it or not right because it's
thicker so going up and over the warps can actually but then it does take up
more space that straight depends on the design yeah yeah it does it really does
depend on it but no matter what you do hamtique is the way to go right it's awesome you don't have to worry about it
being weak in places it's really strong nope and it's sustainable and it's got
the Eco um uh the way that it's made you know the dyes are are organic and there's no
you know there's no crud and it's evenly dyed all the way yeah
yeah that's such a good point like
yeah that is a really good point it doesn't it's not naked anywhere so yeah
or like it's a navy blue you find little patches of light blue it's not like that no that's a very valid thing
um and and a comment because it's very true it's like when we talk about you know different beads just being perfect
in size and shape and stuff yeah so
anyway I'm Melanie Melanie's just chiming in all right guys it's five
o'clock so I um I'm gonna clean up and
um I don't know oh I made beef Stewie yeah you're a little blurry you're a
little Angelic oh wow I wonder what's causing that oh well you're Halo
maybe it's too much light yeah oh well it's over with yeah
all right you guys we'll see you next Thursday don't forget to uh tell me what you want to do what
you want me to do what do you want to talk about there's text never on the screen yeah
so have a beautifully blessed evening the rest of the week a great weekend and
um and get your kit get your kit before I only made so many of them so if you want one of those kits go and get it and
by the looks of it I'm pretty I feel confident to say that you could probably make a big cuff the thinner one and a
ring so that's a lot yeah yeah yeah because you know I was
looking and I think you know with that first kit that you put out it was for the creative soul
group yeah yeah I made the big cuff and then that silver silk pins it but you
know that I built in between the silver silk oh yeah tutorial on it that was left over from the kit oh geez yeah yeah
I don't scrimp no you don't there's always leftovers yeah which is good because they're
Portuguese you're always going to get more oh just like food I'm always being an army
like you know oh how many people yeah you know like big my grandma avalor just like big spread who's all coming you
know four people right but there's enough to feed everybody and that's I I have I do that
in my food I do that in my beads leftovers for days leftovers for days
okay guys we'll see you later bye and I'll take you off
