DIY Easy Wrap Bracelet with Unique Closure Technique
Learn how to make a Wrap Bracelet with 2-hole beads, gemstones and cool closure technique. Danielle Wickes joins Jewels to show how to easily create this awesome bracelet, great for everyday wear! She teaches a new and easy way to wrap the cord on the bead loom to easily create the wrap bracelet. Though she is using 1mm leather, with this technique, you could also use 1.5 or 2mm leather...or even a different type of round cord! The wrap technique Danielle teaches on a bead loom can easily be used on a smaller bead oom, instead of the standard size bead loom. Danielle teaches every step to makig this project, from how to attach the cords to the loom to finishing the button closure.
Though Danielle is using beads from Jewel Loom's December Creative Soul Box, which is sold out, you can also put together your own beads for the colorway you desire for this project.

vertical going on. Oh my goodness. Okay, welcome in
everyone. We were just giggling and um girl chatting which is like one of the
best things ever. Joan is in the background and um our precious friend
Danielle is here and I'm I'm so happy because I was I was worried for a moment. And I
saw some stuff about Washington and I felt so bad that I hadn't like acknowledged that you're there and I'm
like my god is floating away like but you're okay.
Doing okay here. We actually are pretty lucky. Most of the flooding is um it's a little a little like east of us and
south of us. Okay. It's just like we're on this little island here that's not flooded yet. Okay. Well, we want all of our all of
our neighbors to be um to be safe and so yeah, happy some elevation in our particular
location. So, I think that could be part of it, but yeah, go high.
Okay, full disclosure, excuse me for the coughing. um h I'm doing my best and uh
and so I want to be with everybody and um and I'm okay. I just still have the
cough. So uh without further ado, what I'm going to do is I'm going to show you
December's kit because we still have a few left and then Danielle's going to take it over and show how to make the
wrap bracelet. I'm very intrigued and um I didn't want to ask you about the ends,
but I am intrigued about how you Sure.
how you did it. You're like me. Last sat last Saturday I it had me too. I think everyone's had those.
Everyone's had it. So, yeah. And of course, it would happen as I go
live. Anyway, let's go down to the table so you can get over me and my cough real quick. Hold on so I can show you the
kit. Oh my heck.
You know, maybe orange juice is not a good thing. I just had some orange juice. I'm
thinking maybe that's not Oh, it might like break it up a little bit. Yeah. Yeah. You know what? Can we just get the
um kit really quick, Joan? Instead of two screens,
I think you just have to take Danielle off. Really? There we go. Okay. So,
so there's two strands of the two different colors of two-holes, which are gorgeous. They're laser. They're so
pretty. Um, the sapphire rubies. Woohoo. Let me bring those up to the camera.
Look at those. Love that. Sapphire rubies. Um, the amethyst is
gorgeous. And then there's a plethora of other beads as usual. Um, and some
really beautiful seed beads that Danielle had actually colorcoordinated
and picked out for us. And I think they're just so What do you know what that color is?
Yeah, it's an opaque gray Czech tenno. Yeah, it's so beautiful, isn't it? It's
really, really pretty. So, that's in the kit. And, um, you it always comes in a
really cute little bag and you get a tea and a cookie. That's kind of been like my signature thing since day one for
five years. And um and you also get a copy of the instructions that Danielle
makes for the project when um when she designs it. And

So, awesome sauce. Again, I think there's only I don't even know at this

This is a really fun kind of go-to thing, you know, a a staple
bracelet. Um this was this was a very popular style, I think, now for decades.
It just never goes out of style, would you say? Like Everyone loves these wrap bracelets. it it's a great look and it's
a great way to stack and it's a great way to not only use the kit that you
know the components in the kit but it's a great way to use your leftovers like I
have all my leftover beads and um so I'm really excited to learn or to better
understand how you did those ends because it makes a decorative element and I just
think that's like So cool. I I love that it's really easy. So, it's just a series
of square knots and you can you use almost any cord you want. I've been finding um discovering the hemp cord
that you have on the website. Yep. The hemp hemp cord. I've got their whole line on the website.
Um and so it does ship from Hempique, but you place your order on the jewel.com site. Um just like Danielle
did recently. You're so adorable. Thank you.
Leather as well. And And they got the leather. Yeah. I I different sizes of the hemp corn.
Yeah. So good. Yeah. And they're familyowned company
here in Calh. And they're sustainable and they're uh really great people.
Oh, that's cool. Yeah. Yeah. It's nice when the when you like the people. That is for sure. Yeah.
And it's actually a really easy series of little square knots. I like this style because it makes figuring out how
much leather you need really easy, okay? Because you're not having to worry about leaving extra length for knots and
things like that. You just cut the length you need with some overlap for the button loops. And you literally just bring it together via these little
sections of square knots and make it adjustable the same way if you want to.
And I've been doing wrap bracelets this way for like many years now and it has not gotten old. It's just fun. It's
really fun to do. And I use some wildfire. So the stitching itself was done with a green colored wildfire,
but you can use any color that you like. Use any color leather you want. Yeah. Use any color of hemp you want. Here I'm
playing around with a pulling out that turmoline from the Yeah. gems. And I was using this color for
that. I love that. Oh, the Mer is that mermaid? No, I Which one is this? I hope I saved the
package. It might be coral. I liked that together.
Oh, that's so pretty. And then I also liked that together.
That's so pretty. Wow. So, there's lots of things you can do. Yeah. So good. So good.
And you can set this up on any loom you want. You can use, of course, the a whole video on how to
do a wrap bracelet on the jewel loom and large wisdom warrior. So, yeah.
Ah, cool. So, you've got those. You can you can link those for folks who want to see that, too, because it's definitely a go-to thing I feel like is a really
handy way to make really cool stuff. For sure. Yeah.
Let's see. I could show um you know just because it fits the screen really nice. I could show on the wisdom warrior
the ba the mini. You can do it on this one. Yeah. Stop it.
No, you can't. You can just you just wrap it around. Okay. Knock your socks off if that's
what you want to do because I got to this. So if you could do it on that one, you could do it on the baby loom.
Yeah. Yeah, you could. And I'm just going to make sure I brought up my rubber bands. and some little rubber bands.
Danielle, what millimeter hemp cord did you use? Five or one? This is the 0.5.
Okay. But I think you could use the one. And this one was also a 0.5. Okay. So the 0.5, just so y'all know,
0.5 mm is um well, for instance, it'll fit in the
grooves on the looms. one millimeter will lay on the grooves. I'm a big one
millimeter girl. Um, but you can go either way. It's just
that five is definitely more more flexible, more flimsy.
Oh, because you can use this as the actual warp. That is cool. Yes.
Yes. Yes. Oh, god. Yeah. So, in this one, all I did was I just
used the loom itself as kind of just the way to hold the top and the bottom of the leather.
Okay. Yeah. But I mean, you can really do like anything. So, basically the gist of it
is I use a rubber band to create tension. Okay. And depending on the one you're using, you wrap it around more than once.
Okay? And you just use that rubber band underneath the button to secure it
tightly. and we'll set up one together from scratch. And then here's how it is secured at the
base. It's literally just the larks knot on the rubber band. Okay? If you need more length, like let's say
you're using the hat band, just take rubber bands and larks knot them
together until you get the length you need. And then if you're using something small, you'll probably won't need but
just one rubber band. So just whatever you think you need. And I can maybe even show on a couple of
them if you have time. But it's really easy. You just kind of wrap it around and see how much um you can get to fit
on there. Yeah. I think the most the fascinating part about this project are the ends.
Everybody always wants to know like how you finish your ends. Um yeah, because usually would, you know,
you just do that overhand knot or maybe a barrel knot. That's kind of one of the the go-to things that most people do.
And I usually do that, too. But I really do love doing the square knots. They're so fun because you can bring that pop of color in. Yeah.
Yeah. And so for leather, you're going to cut double the length that you want for
however many times around your wrist you want to go. Usually what I'll do is I'll just take the leather and just hold it.
And then I'll just go around my wrist once, twice. And then remember you need some overlap.
And then just take whatever that length it is that you cut and double it. Huh. And that's just a kind of like
very rough way to get the length you need and then give yourself some extra if you want. It can't hurt to have extra.
And if you have extra, you can always trim it at the end, but you better to have extra than not enough, right?
Yes. So, there's bent at the midpoint. And
then I'm just I grabbed another button because I use both my buttons in my demo samples, but I have another just random silver
button here. Very similar that's in the kit. I think this is an
old vintage ti cast one. Oh, gorgeous. It felt like it felt it felt with the
theme of what we're doing. So, I went with it because this one's kind of western.
And so, bring that to the midpoint. That's all you got to do there for now. And then down here at the end, tie an
overhand knot with the ends of your leather. So, just bring it under like that.
Push those ends through your loop. pinch it in your hand like that and pull
tightly. And then you can even just pull individually on each cord to tighten that up. This knot is temporary. We can
either trim it or cut it later or even undo it. Um this is just to hold it together while we do our work. Okay, so
rubber band time. Take your rubber band, bring it in between the two pieces of leather, and then bring the end through
the loop like that to just larks knot to the bottom. And it'll just secure it like that for
you. Cute. What millimeter um leather is that, by the way?
It's It's one of these. I can't remember which color. It's either the light brown or the dark brown. I think it's probably the dark cuz that looks light.
But they're But they're both 1 millimeter thick. They are. Yeah, but this is really
forgiving. Like you can use any leather that you want. Okay. There's really no like no rules. And
these beads that you have, they're going to look cute on different sizes of leather. Yeah.
1 millm leather. Quite frankly, bigger the better. Definitely. But it's definitely like
kind of up to you really. It's not going to um it's not going to hurt your project if you're using a different size.
And so for what's going to happen here at the top of the button is you've got this little connection like that, right?
Uhuh. Just hold your hold it at the top of whichever, you know, loom you're using
and then just bring the leather down and uh through the grooves right here.
Okay. And around. Now, I'm going to end up having to go around two times because
I'm working on the smaller loom. But if this was the longer one, you may find that your rubber band connects already.
Mine doesn't yet. If you're using the large wisdom warrior, you don't have to obviously use
any rubber bands, right? And then of course, I make this a This is a wrap that I'm intending to go
twice around my wrist. Okay? Like we're just going to do a single wrap. This is the perfect one for doing a single.
And so now I'm going to just go around to the loom again. And I'm gonna capture my button with the
rubber band. So just bring the rubber band underneath it. Oh, that's hysterical.
These are basically they're warps, right? And you have achieved perfect tension for essentially we're just going
to be looming. Now if you want to get this out of your way because it's going to maybe disrupt your work a little bit, you can
always just move it over. Yeah. No, it's great to empower people that have a smaller loom that maybe want
to do a bigger project and they're just not ready yet to invest in a a larger loom. And
yeah, I love the fact that, you know, the the littles the littles can um do
big girl stuff. Oh yeah, they can. And then I'm just going to make a point
of getting it out of my way so that I can you see what I mean? So we can loom easier. So I can show setting it up on a
larger one if that is helpful too. Or I can just keep going from here. Let me know what you think. But the setup is
pretty much the same deal. When you say a larger one, do you mean like the original Jewel Loom or do you mean a large the large wisdom warrior?
Yeah. So, like here's the original Jewel Loom. Yeah. Maybe you could Yeah. Because And
then I have a video that I'm going to link in the body of of um Oh, God. So,
sorry. Um of everything to show you how we did a wrap bracelet on the original
I'm going to just raise up just a smidge. So, it's really it's just a creative like there's no set way to wrap
it. The the goal is just to achieve some medium to tight tension. Yes.
And so, this one's already finished um as a single wrap just to show I want to be able to show
you finishing it. So, what I'm going to do for now is just hold it there. And
here's my end, the rubber band thing happening. And what I did here is I went
around. And another thing you can do if you want to is you can go around your
button like this. Let me just secure it really quick. Go around it like this with the rubber band
and bring it back up. And then you could do it. Then you bring it
around the back and either secure it to the first Yeah. knob. I happen to have done two larks
rubber bands and had that length. So, I went ahead and went for the second knob.
Those rubber bands seem to be unique. Uh, do they have a name or a reference?
They came from my farm box. Farm. They were wrapped around vegetable
bundles. Oh my god. That's so I'm not joking. Like there was celery around under those at one point.
Yeah. The large wisdom warrior is hands down definitely the easiest way to do
your wraps and your hatbands and your chokers. You've got from top to bottom
25 in um I have that one here.
Yeah. And so but um I love empowering people with the loom when whatever jewel
loom they have. And so um or designer wood loom. So, it's really exciting to
see you doing that. Um, I know a couple people in here are talking about how the
large wisdom warriors on their uh on their list.
Yeah, the large one. That's where having the ability to do the
rubber bands is going to help you out a lot. I actually did make my original sample on the large one.
Yeah. You know, just because I didn't have to wrap around a lot a lot bigger. Yeah.
So, you end up really needing that rubber band on one side and I just hook them to the loops here.
Yeah. She's amazing. Yeah. Lots of options. All going to work. No
rules. Yeah. And so, I'm going to cut a little bit of
the hemp cord. You know, you can probably get away with less. I think I put 10 inches in the handout just to make sure you have enough to make sure
you're happy with how much um knotting you've got. You can really make as many as you want.
Yeah, definitely. Let's show people how to do that because I think that's the unique part about this wrap bracelet.
Oh, yeah. I sometimes just eyeball it. I don't even I don't even really measure
it. Yeah. And then if anyone has a tapestry needle or the looming needles sometimes are big
enough for the small hip cord, right? Um you mean the wood ones?
Uh the looming needles. So like the the needles that you are giving with the kit, does this hemp cord fit that?
Oh god. No. Okay. At the craft store, they have these. If you go to like the section that has the
DMC floss. Oh yeah. Like a blunt needle or Well, I mean the jewel loom wood needles. AB.
So, like if you have the wisdom um the new small pocket wisdom warrior came
with a small needle or even one of the 5 in wood needles, they all work. Yeah.
Yeah. So, just anything that it needs to be able to be a little bit spelt because it's going to go under the knots.
Yeah. But as long as you can get your hemp cord through it. I'll show you at the at the next step what that's for.
And again, everything's optional. You can always just trim it and glue it, right, if you want to. Bring it to the
midpoint. I cut about this is probably 8 in 8 to 10 inches or so. Probably more
than I need and bring it underneath the leather cord.
And we're just going to start making a series of square knots. So, I'm starting with my hat knot on this side. And then,
you know, you bring the cord over Yeah. itself under the leather and then up
through the loop. And then just try to keep that even. And
you'll get what looks like a little hat knot there. Yeah. And I'm going to repeat that by putting
if the See, I call that the little hat. If you got the hat on this side, you do your P loop on this side, which is
there, and under and tighten. And then
I find it easier to do knots like this if I have a little bit of length. That's why I was saying the 10 inches just to make sure you're comfortable knotting
because what happens is it starts to kind of try to escape when they're short little short stubby ends trying to work
with, you know. Yeah,
even that link is trying to escape a little bit. So, there's five knots and five knots is a good symmetry, but
you could always do six. And because hemp's kind of, you know, it is an organic friendly material, you're
going to get different size diameter along it. Some of it's a little bit thinner. Like on this one, I was just in
a thin section. And then a little thicker here, a little
thinner there on the but doesn't actually matter. You can after you finish your knots like that, you can push them up
to sit under your button. And then at this step or later, you can
do this now or you can do this later. Put your tapestry needle to work for just a second. Feed one end through.
And I'm just going to trim this a little bit so that it's easier to get through. Even like those little yarn needles,
but get it through the thinnest one you can. That way it's easier to get under the square knots. See? You'll see what I
mean in here in a second here. Okay. So, I'm just going to flip this to the back
and bring my tapestry needle under. Get through as many as you can. Like
three is plenty, right? Push that through.
And you just want to pull it through.
It's just something to do with the ends, right? Yeah. So, I'm going to do the same thing again with this side.
Very cute. So, it's really acting as um
as a way the distance. Sometimes there's this dead space
between the beginning of the wrap and the button. Yeah, exactly.
Okay. It makes me want to go back and like try to do it to my wrap bracelets I've made.
Um I love that some folks just do a nice overhand knot on the leather and that's beautiful too.
Yeah. So this now you can trim this anytime and usually I'll trim that at the end
when I get it off the loom because I can get close with my flush cutters. So for now I'll just feed my ends up in between
the rubber band. Okay. Just get them out of my way.
And so here's what that looks like on the jewel loom. You just kind of pull those ends up. Yeah.
And just push them out of your way. And that's the same thing I did here. You can see they're just brought brought back underneath.
Could you for giggles if you had a a bead with a big enough hole like embellish those leftover? Okay.
Yeah, you could. And then you wouldn't need to bring them under the under themselves. It would just be That'd be super cool. Yeah. They would just hang out with
little beads on the side. There's no rules there. You can do anything. Okay. Good.
Good. That's just one easy way to kind of get your get your work started.
Yeah. Like you'll have something cute like that happen. And so next thing is getting some wildfire. So depending like if you're doing a double wrap, you may want
to cut as much as 120 inches. And keep in mind it's going to be worked doubled. So that's only 60 inches as you're
working. And so I'm going to go ahead and just cut. I'm going to make it short for this
demo. just so that I have um it's so it's wieldy
really big mess. And I'm just going to flatten the end so I can get it through my needle easier.
This is a size 10 hard beading needle. Okay. It's one of the Beatelon ones.
Yeah. And we're going to need to bring that needle to the midpoint of the thread we
just cut. So to get started, just bring the ends
together of that strand. So you've got the needle on it. Bring the ends together.
Overhand knot those ends. So this is like we're going to you like sewing like you're going to sew on a button or you're going to mend something, right?
It's like a sewing knot. Marlin Brando. He's so cute.
Oh my god. So sorry. He's so cute. I hear him. He's like growling back there.
He's so funny. Good. So, overhand knot. And then your needle, just bring it to
the midpoint. So, you can just hold this in your hand. Just slide that down.
It's a doubled thread. Not on the end. Okay.
So, we're going to bring the knot under the edge leather cord, which is
the the left side. Oh, okay.
And we're going to larks knot. So bring it to where the knot is sitting kind of
adjacent to it. And then just bring your needle back
in between the two threads like this. Uhhuh. And then just pull it tight.
Okay. See how it's just larks knotting like that? Uhhuh. It'll bring the knot to sit right onto
the edge of the leather. Okay. That's cool. Go ahead and push that up a little bit.
All right, time to start looming. Bring your needle underneath both leather cords and to the right.
And what'll happen is that knot that knot is going to move itself over over
and under kind of. So, it's going to come underneath the leather over here. And your knots's really just kind of
hanging out on the in between. And then now I'm going to get a bead.
You can start with any beads you want. Uh, if you like my pattern, I started with the fire polish.
Yep. But it might even be cute to start with one of the other beads. I I tend to have
this habit of starting with the smallest bead in the collection. Oh, that's interesting. Well, you're
giving it form. Yeah, it tape. Gotcha.
And then this one, I kind of made it to where like it tapers up and down and up and down.
But that was just style. You can do anything you want.
And so here's that bead and slide that on. And then this is optional. If you like
it, you can try to bring the bead over all four. So the two strands are on and then the two tails.
And that way when you tighten by pulling the two tails away from the working, it might even bring that knot into the bead
a little bit and hide it. Oh, that's very interesting.
And it's just a little a nice clean way to get started, right? The knot does not always fit in the bead. I must caution.
Sometimes it doesn't, but okay, wildfire can be a little thick, but it looks like in my case, I was able to get
that knot to go right inside of it.
And so now I'm going to bring the needle around. And notice I positioned it in between the two leathers. I'm going to
go over the leather now back through the bead just like this is a warp. Just pretend it's a warp
and try to avoid that knot by pushing up on the wall of the bead.
And then I just grab those tails. Just the first one is easier to get started by grabbing the tails
and pull that through. There you go. So, if you got your chain
nose pliers handy, this one little step can be kind of fun. Just hold those ends and hold your bead with your thumbnail.
Just tighten that up. Watch that knot go right into your bead. Oh, that's crazy.
Yeah. And then at the end, we'll come back with a burner and we'll just burn that little tiny bit of tail away.
Burn it little tush. Yeah. And that cauterizes it. You know, if you want to glue, you can, but you
don't have to. Okay. Um, and then the next bead that we used was
one of these gorgeouses. What were these called again? You just told me.
Where do your fingers in the way? Are those the uh sapphire rubies?
Ah, yes. There we go. I was calling them termine for some
reason, but they are a sapphire ruby. They were sold to me that way.
I can never really tell the difference with gemstones. I'm really bad. Like, I don't know. It's so hard. I'm like, it's a stone
and it's shiny. It's shiny. And so I brought that under
under and in between. Okay. So just like that. And then we're just going to go over the
leather through both. I'll just hold on to both of these ends.
I think 99% of this is just getting the tension right and not getting a knot. It's really long strands. Doubled is
tends to really be Yeah. extra crazy.
You can pull each one individually if you want. And that's pretty much the straight on till morning. Just repeat.
So the next one, let me grab um I'll do do a few more until you tell me you think you you're
you're cool and I'll move on to the next thing. Uh yeah, I mean I think at this point we're like a half an hour into the show.
And so if you want to do a couple more beads and then go to like finishing
maybe. Yeah. And then we'll switch to finishing because this is the same thing now. You're just going to keep doing the same. Yeah. Maybe show how you do a two-hole
because that is different. Oh, you're mixing single hole with two holes. So, that would be a good idea.
Yeah. Let me show that. Right. You did put a two hole in there, didn't you? I did. Yeah. Yeah.
Right up to it in size. So, the pattern really just starts with those. And then I'm going to do a cube.
Cube is really pretty. M I loved all the beads in this. I mean,
these are um all the fun that I got to buy at Tucson. And geez, I can't believe it's
been almost a year. I know. So crazy. It really has been a crazy year.
Oh, it's just gone by too quick.
Oops. There we go. Hooking my other one in there. And then
the next bead I used was I believe one of these gorgeouses. And then we just do this one. And then
we're at the two-hole bead. Okay. So this gorgeous one. And I'm just
sticking with what's written in the PDF in case anyone's looking to follow that. But yeah, this is just made up. You can do
anything you want. Yeah, I do have this trick of you notice how I'm doing this this diagonal thing.
Yeah, I love that. That's a knit to make the spacing.
Uhhuh. Level of perfection not required, but yeah, it does help a little bit.
Um I'm so sorry if you mentioned this, but I didn't hear it because I'm a little plugged up.
Why um why are you using double wildfire?
Oh, the double um double couple reasons. It's number one, it really makes it easy to start. Okay.
Right. The this the way that it's larks knotted in the beginning is a super secure start.
Okay. Um and a lot of people wear these. They're they're wear heavy. They wear
them in weather. They get wet. I've sold a lot of these over the years
and I noticed that the ones that I did the double stringing on the double stitching didn't come back to me.
Didn't come back to you. That's such I I'm glad I asked because I was like, "Wait a minute."
Um, and that's so good to know, Danielle. Thank you. Yeah, but it's, you know, it's not
required. Like, if you wanted to do single, you could. Um, I've never done double. I've never done
Can you knot to the side? Um, but it makes not I actually kind of struggle with that knot. I don't know why, but for
some reason, I was never successful at it. Yeah. Oh, I think another reason is sometimes
I do these with um threads that aren't as strong like colorful threads like your your KO and stuff like that, you
know. Yeah, because Wildfire is definitely like strong. Yeah, Wildfire you could get away with
single if you wanted to. Yeah. But no, no, from a a designer,
finished designer standpoint, somebody who's sold, you know, jewelry, like
that's the worst thing to sell a piece and have it come back to you. So, yeah. And I just noticed that these are
wear heavy people. This is one they'll put on every day and they'll wear it all day and they'll wear it with their blue
jeans and they'll wear it outside and doing stuff and preach it to the choir, girl. Yeah.
Yeah. I love wearing my wrap bracelets. Like, I love it. And then I wear like all my cuffs and yeah,
I had a customer that would would bring them back to me to repair. She would wear them swimming in the beach and like
it was just the thing and she she had that style and she all wore all her macra like that but she was just like, "Hey, you know,
it works." So the the two hole bead it's really similar to like how you know when we were doing all the looming projects with the two holes.
Yeah. You just kind of push it down. Same thing. Yeah. Push it down. Yeah. You just go under. Now, some
people do these kind of these kind of wraps. They do them with infinity stitching, but you can tell I've been a loomer first because I never picked up
the infinity the whole two needle thing. I just can't. I just I tried. So funny.
Somebody asked me some questions. Oh gosh. Who emailed me the other day and she was we were going to ask you
uh she saw a picture it was Judith did a project. It looked like it was loomed,
but it was not. And the term was drop
two or drop three. Oh, two or three drop peyote. And I was like, sister, that is you're
talking like that's that's off loom work and we need that's a Danielle.
I said, first of all, ask Judith and I can't remember now if it was Judith. I
think it was Chicago Judith. Okay. I think it's Judith who went to the Czech Republic with me, I think. I don't
think it was Europe, Judith. Um anyway, and and so I said, I don't know if you
could do that on the loom. I know people who have done some off loom stitches on
the loom, but it's not my it's not my strong point at all. So
yeah, what I would do if I wanted a peyote piece inside of leather is I would create the peyote piece separately
and then I would stitch it in at the end. ah and bring it over and add it, you know.
Can I just say too at this point um the you know length that you're kind of on
and maybe close to like if you did another one of those uh knots that you
did at the top. Yeah. That that whole look right there just would be like a really cool um key,
you know, key charm, purse charm is what I'm seeing too. Like if you didn't do a
bracelet, that would be really fun. That would be
Yeah, it looks like I mean I just thinking like oh that I could see like right now it looks like it could be like
a really cool embellishment for something that's shorter, too.
Oh, absolutely. Yeah, it could become so many cute things. You just put some beads at the bottom there. The button could even hook through your purse strap
or something. Oh, yeah. Exactly. Right. or just I know our minds just go all all over
the place. Then after you've been working on this and you run out of length
Yeah. all you need to do is move it around. So
reposition it. Yeah. So you would take, let's say I finished it down to the bottom there.
Yeah. You could bring that up to the top. Okay. And let me just get the thread out of
the way really quick. You just bring that that area to the top
and then just secure the piece down there. Wow. Right.
And then just go around on this side. Okay. Keep it out of the way of the, you know, the work you're going to be doing. But
then just take this side here, bring it to the back, hook it here.
And then you can start the Well, just pretend I had beading down to here. You want to just leave the last beads like
at that top part and just start going. Okay. Wow. Thank you for giving the mini
warrior uh new life and it purpose. That's really cool.
It's a it's a great stabilizer for this kind of stuff. No, it's so it's so great to see and
that's going to really inspire a lot of people. You seeing our tools all in new in in
you know different ways that you can use them. Yeah, that makes me happy. Thank you.
I'm like, "No, no more November kits." There's a few.
Oh, yeah. November was nice. I love them. I like them all, but like November was like the pearls.
Yeah. Think of over the five years a kit that I ever looked at and went, "Oh, that sucked."

You know, another one that will work really great for doing what we just did. What's that?

Yeah. So, I love that. You could even use this one. A silver loom is like so amazing. Well,
that one is only if you were in Nle's um Oh, yeah. You have to get his kit for
that one. Yeah, I think you can get that other loom by itself. Yes. And then this one comes in the larger
format. So that one might give you an easier like I think it's the exact length for a single. Yeah.
And this one I'm getting that's the baby full length of a single on that one.
Yeah. So for if this was a full length wrap, like you were going to do two around,
you would just bring it around the back like I showed you on the other one. Okay. Bonnie is her question is, can you
show how to add thread? Like do you mean bonding after like if you run out of
thread? Yeah. And so the way to add thread is I'm gonna show you right now how to tie
off the end. So what you do is when your thread's getting short, you just tie off the way I'm about to show you and then
repeat the start again. So, you bring on a new strand, larks
knot it to the left side of your leather, tighten that all up, bring on the bead, and start
the the stitching again, just like you did here at the top. Okay? So, it's basically just a repeat of
everything. Um, and then this is how to tie off whether you're adding thread or starting a new uh or finishing a piece,
right? Whenever it gets short. So, um I'm going to put on one more bead just
to have that continuity of seeing stitching happening.
So, we'll pick up our last bead for this one.
So, bring that bead on passing under. And then you're going to take the needle passing over the leather
and again just tighten that up. Okay, those two look cute together.
They do. They're cute. So, to tie off, just flip to the back.
Needle under the last stitch you created. So, this one here.
Ah. And then just bring your needle back through that loop. And what it's going to do is create a
half hitch knot. And it's going to hide it. Yeah. And you can pull towards go through a bead. Uh would that be
necessary? Could you Yeah. After you do your knot. Uhhuh. I'm going to go through that bead. And
we're working at the back. See how I have it flipped to the back. Got you. And then pull again.
But you did the knot first. You did under the warp under the weft threads.
Yeah. Ah. And then you just pull that tight. And sometimes that knot will just go right
into the bead. And if you want to, you can repeat that,
especially if the knots's hanging out on the side. You can
go through the bead again. And that's optional. If you want to repeat it, I often don't. And let me
just tell everybody that um there is a full tutorial that I'm going to put in
the YouTube um listing that shows you how to use the jewel loom that Danielle
has in front of her to make a warp bracelet. And so Teresa, I believe that
was your correct question. Um, I will I don't know if it's easy
enough um Joan to find that link and post it.
She's got a finger up in the air. That might mean yes.
She's got it. And I'm just doing the same thing again. I'm You don't have to do it twice, but
if you wanted to, there's no reason you can't. Yeah. No, I'm loving this. And
yeah, I I would love it for the ends of of the bracelets, too.
And I'm just going to go ahead and try to get through that bead one more time. Oh, wow. Okay. And you can always um because I don't
like to trim next to a knot. I don't know about you, but I kind of prefer to go through a bead first, even if it's a little tight.
That's what I was I was asking earlier. Okay. Yeah. But you can always switch to a size 12.
Yeah. But I like how you went you put the needle through the the uh WS.
Yeah, just underneath them just instead of over in the warp in the warps
then. Um Yeah. Yeah. Oh gosh, Teresa, don't be sorry. My gosh, we're so thrilled that
you want to try it. But there is a really great tutorial because um in fact
I there might be a couple wrap bracelets made on the original jewel loom.
Oh yeah. Yeah. There's I think you've done them quite a few. Yeah. I wasn't able to get quite through that
bead and I don't want to break it. So one knot was the trick for that 3mm fire polish. But you these crystals are a
little larger. So if you want to end with a crystal, you'd be able to get through it twice. Okay. And there's no reason you can't
put a little dot of glue on your knot. That's okay, too. I like to burn,
but you can do either. I mean, just really no rules, especially since we got
two knots going now. I'm going to just burn next to that knot really quick. Okay.
All right. There it is. There's your ends. Awesome.
And then to finish it with your button loop, just get some more of your hemp cord.
And I'm just going to cut a length of that. We'll go underneath here.
And I'm going to start tying some square knots.
I'm just going to pull that so that I center it a little more. There we go. Okay.
There's side one of my square knot. and here's that side
and through. I thought I might just take a peek up and see how many um how many did I do
here? I did one, two, three, four, five, six it looks like. So, I can do about the same number if you want to. And I
went with this multiolor rainbow hemp because it's so pretty. So, I'm getting different colors as I work.
which I think looks really cute. I also I used to do this um with lots of
different like there's no reason you can't use other cords like this. Even like a smaller leather
anything you can square knot with is is gain for right here. Okay. I've even seen people do square
knots with their wildfire. Oh, that's crazy. That's way crazy.

I'm just going to string this on. So, I cut too much he cord there, but is okay.

the last two or three knots and pull tight.
And what it does is it just brings them up and out of the way. Okay? And you can turn.
So, but we need to do at least one more to create the second half of the button loop. Okay?
And I have space here to do that, but I thought I'd take the opportunity to show shifting it up one more time. Okay. Good.
And so I'll undo the leather here, but it's completely free this one from the loom.
And and remember that we're leaving the rod in the jewel loom because of the technique.
And really because it's the technique, you have to you have to remove it. So just
be mindful of that. Yeah, exactly. It would be a little tricky, I think, to um
I think it would be the tension would be a little too tight. That said, I mean, you can always try it
and see if it works. And then I just see I moved this up over
the bar. That's how you do it if you're trying to expand. And now we have a lot more space to work here.
Cool. So, that's how you do a multi wrap. You can go around as many times as you want. It gets tiny bit unwieldy when
you're doing three because they're layered on the same workspace. And that's where having one of these, if
you're serious, if you're making three wraps, go ahead and invest in one of those because it'll it'll hook you up. Oh yeah, the large wisdom warriors.
She's like a lifetime. She's a a really working loom. I like to
call her a working loom. Yeah, that's like you're like you mean business when it comes to looming. Like
that's the And you can make this as adjustable as
you want. Now see how many of these you do. For every extra one you add, you have another button. I have a reason to buy rubber bands.
You can always get a rubber band home. Those are fun. Oh my goodness. While you're doing that,
I am going to post the link to uh tonight's whatnot show. And um so yeah,
so at 5:15 uh Pacific Standard Time, I have uh whatnot
um that I am doing. And so there's a lot of gorgeous beads at a great price. And

simple. So, um, now it's just the fun part. So, some trimming. Um, you know,
with the hemp, I don't usually burn. I just trim it with a little tails here. Trying to remember if I did these on the
original jewel loom. And then here at the top, we'll just trim
right there. And then I am going to burn the wildfire. I think these are the ones I did on the jewel loom, right, Jill? Uh, Jill Joan,
too many J's in my life. Too many J's, I think. So,
there it is. It's all done. God, that's so cool. And then here at the end, if you want to
do some decorative beads at the bottom, you can. Or you can just flush trim it, which is what I did on mine. If you want
to put a little glue, feel free to put a little glue. Little beads at the bottom is also really fun.
Yeah. Super fun. Yeah. In fact, this one that I've got on, um,
feel like we have dueling risks going on here. I'm really bad at putting bracelets on

wrapping around the wisdom large wisdom warrior, you could use the macra on
that. I had Oh, you mean that the the dead space and even like wraps around
and the lady lives. remember back when they they first came out, they had that
we always talked about the space in between because their little b, you know, you go down and then you could come back up.
And a lot of people when they do the square knots, they put, you know, the um the strings on the edges, you know,
where it goes from knot to knot, they put beads on those so it looks like decorative edges. So that'd be pretty
dead. That's a great idea, Joan. Look at you knocking it out of the park. See Danielle, you just influences for
something else. That's that's the joy. You get the ideas and then they give more ideas.
