    Transcript for 1st tutorial:

I am going to show you how to make these fun Loops for a beaded ring that is made
on a bead Loom so let's get our weave on okay so
first off we're going to bring in our Loom and I guess I've got to take
off my rings so much fun so much Sparkle and
really the outcome can be so many different variations so I'm working on a
smaller bead Loom specifically the mini wisdom Warrior bead Loom and as you can
see I've already beaded my base and I'll make sure to link to a video to show you
how to do that and I'm using a variety of check glass beads along with some
seed beads and then I do have a let me bring that in for you I do have
a tube of some 11 o seed beads these are too and then I'm
just going to put like a layer of these on my map because I'll be picking those
up and I'm also using some beading thread specifically by beadon it's a
wildfire this color happens to be black and I am using the jewel Loom needle so
now that we have everything we need to make our Loops let's go ahead and take a
    seat here so currently my
loom is in front of me this is my left hand and this is my right hand so I
typically have my loom in this position and then I have um all of the beads that
I need over here to the right so what I need to do because my my thread
and my needle are over here on the left is I'm going to turn the loom so that
the needle and thread are now on the right side and you'll see why here in a second so I've split this up into threes
um I've come up one 2 3 four five six okay so that's the sixth row and now I'm
going to take the needle and I'm going to go in to the side of this first bead
and then out and in between the first and the second bead so I'll pull my
needle and thread and you just when you're working with a longer piece just help to guide
it so that it doesn't get tangled all right and then I'm going to
transfer the needle and thread over to my right hand and then here's a little tip let me
bring in one of the Rings so that you can visually see what I'm talking about when I pick up less amounts of seed
beads and a decorative bead and more seed beads you can see how tight this
looped pattern is okay but if I bring in
this ring look at the difference I picked up more seed beads a
decorative bead and then again more seed beads so you really do get an entirely
different look based on how many seed beads you pick up so if you want a really tight uh
look so that your you know your Loops are not going everywhere then you would just pick up oh like maybe three or four
seed beads a decorative bead and then three or four more seed beads what is a
decorative bead Jewels well that's what I refer to as my
um palette over here right so I call these decorative beads typically they're your glass beads um whatever shape style
you know something other than a seed bead so when I say decorative bead this is what I'm referring to so again the
more seed beads you pick up the floppier and uh bigger your ring and the less you
pick up the tighter the loop will be okay so with that
said I am going to pick up let's see here we'll
pick up one two three four whoops four and then I'll
grab a little fire polish bead right there you can
absolutely um go from tight Loops to loopy Loops you know
you don't have to have all the same look so let's see three four okay then I'm
going to make sure that those go over the eye of the needle help those to go all the way
down the thread and then I'm going to take the needle and I'm coming back through that first bead on the right
side the needle's going through that second bead and then it's going to come out and in between that third and fourth
bead and then once again I just like to help guide the
loop and this is where the magic starts so here's our first Loop isn't that beautiful let me see I
want to make sure that's our first Loop very cool so
let me add um well you know what I'll keep I'm going to keep this consistent so let's do the first row with just uh
four seed beads so two three four and I'll grab another fire
polish and then one whoops one 2
[Music] three four so this time I'm going to go
back to the right side of that bead that third bead right there and then out all
the way and then this is going to create our second
Loop all right so let's bring that up to the camera and so now we have our first
Loops first two Loops so I'm going to turn it so that I'm starting on the
right side over here and this time I want to get the outside bead I want to
Loop over here on the outside so I'll come up in between that first and
second bead all right and then let's pick up
more let's get wild we'll do one
    two no one two
three 4 five six let's do seven for
Giggles so we'll do seven and then we're going to pick up o this is a cool bead like a little drop let's pick up that
little drop and then seven more seed beads so 1
    2 3 4 five
six 7 and then we're going to let those drop all the way to the bottom
here and then I'm going to take the needle and I go back through the right side of that bead and I'm going to come out this time
I'm going to come all the way out let's just put two loops on each end here let's see how that looks
and then you'll see the difference too from picking up four seed beads to picking up seven so look at the
difference there see how much taller that one is how it like sticks out from
the base okay so let's do another one on
this side so one 2 3
4 5 five six seven let's see oh my gosh we have
so many beads um what do we got what do we got we could do a cool bugle let's do a
bugle that's like a little quarter of an inch bugle so
2 3 4 five 6 seven okay and make sure they
go over the eye of the needle and we'll let that all fall down
and then again I'm going to go to the right side to the right side of that bead y
there we go and I just want to help guide because I've got like a lot of wildfire beating
threads so I just want to really help to guide that okay now at any point like let's
see let's bring in you know I'm using some smaller decorative beads but look
at these big chunky monkeys I mean these are big guys so you could definitely you know do a variety this is
a little that's probably a little 4 mm fire polish and then I mean you go all
the way up here and you've got this cool D um um like a dagger I mean that's
really cool this ring is like I love this ring so much fun so much fun so
lots of options with the different beads so again I want to come over here turn
turn the loom and I'm going to go through the
first let me see I'm got to get a feel for how this is going to what do I want to do what do I want
to do okay I want to come into the first and I'm going to go through the
second and then I'm going to come out in between the second and the third bead and I'll pull that and this
time what do I want to pick up um I'm going to pick up five so I'm just doing
like a variety of uh seed beads you know like I've done four I've done seven now
I'm doing five you could stay consistent you know if you want like that's cool I
want to pick up a bigger bead so we got one
[Music] two three four five and then I want to get to the
right side of that bead and okay I'm going to come all the way
out let's see let's see how I like
that okay all right that's cool all right so I'm going to put I'll put a loop over here to the side as well so
one right over here just want to make sure we're nice and in the camera Camera Awesome okay so
    let's do one 2
three four five and I feel like it should be
yeah let's do let's do Sil o that's going to fall that's going to go over
but that could be cool but I'm not sure so I'm going to the hole on that's a little bit bigger than I I want to do
right now what's going on with this guy okay this one's good let's pick up this one
and we'll do one two 3 4 five make sure they go over the eye
of the needle and back to the right side of that bead helping to guide the
thread and boom we got oh this is really cool very very cool I love metallics
okay then I'm turning it again cuz I always want to be over here on the right side um let's see where's once you do
the big beads though you kind of have to like peek over because they just get so
tall okay so I'm going to come out on the first one over
here all right and let's see so
one one two three do we want to go back to
Fours I I think I'm going to stick with five so Five O what is that that's
    gorgeous and one
[Music] two three four five this is where that
um meditative State comes in CU it's just so peaceful like you're working on
your project and you're scooping up the beads and you're making these loops and it's very repetitive and so you you can
just kind of really enjoy enjoy that Rhythm let's do another
loop so again I'm picking up these are fives so one two three four five
and so many gorgeous beads which ones to choose let's get this guy that's
pretty and then one two three
three four five and then again I'm going to go on the right
side right side of the bead and all the way
out now when you're when all of this is done and you're like ah gosh I wish I
would have put a loop a one more Loop like like let's take a look let me see if I'm feeling that cuz I kind
of okay see I I feel like there needs to be
there needs to be a loop where is it right there maybe okay let me turn this
so I'm going to go back up so I just want to um Empower you to know that like
you can you can um add extra like an extra wait is it there
this is one and this is yeah right two okay so I want to put
a loop right here for Giggles so let's let's go back up and put a loop so
basically I just want to let you know that you can you can kind of go back not kind of you can you can go back and say
hey you know what I really wish I would have done three loops on that row and even when you're totally done you can
weave back through and do it so would that was that a five yeah that was a five so five and what kind of bead do I
want there I feel like it should be one of these darker shiny your yeah let's do
    that so one 2
3 four five and again just make sure the beads go over the eye of the
needle I keep repeating that because there are times when sometimes your seed beads are not going to be um you know
their hole might not be be all the way drilled through something and and
they're not and they don't go over the needle the eye of the needle and then that could just be frustrating so what I've got to do is I'm going to
go back through that bead all right and then I'm going to go back all the way
through that whole row because I've got to get back to where I was so let's get that extra Loop in
there see awesome okay okay good stuff and then I've got to turn because I got
to figure out like where am I at okay so I'm GNA I got to get back up here to
where I was I almost got to stand up for this one cuz my ring is getting loopy okay so I
want to I got to get back into
here there we go and you know what I feel like there probably should be a
loop right there so anyway I mean you could pre-plan a little bit better if you
wanted I think once you start to do your your rings you'll have a little bit
better of an idea of like how many Loops you want um but I just want to like I
said Empower you so that you know like you you could be looping along beating
along and then um realize that you know you want more loops and that's that's
okay all right so let's what do we want to put there I feel like it again ooh
look at that teal bead come to Mama all right okay so let's get that one picked
up and you got one 2 3 four five now I know a lot of
you are like well Jules you're over here on the left hand side yeah I am but I
had to do that because I uh went back and added that extra that extra loop I
mean in the end I hope that you've been watching and you see that basically the technique is that you're you're always
in this looping motion right and so um the
ultimate goal is to have these loops and so yeah so we're good all
right so now we'll get back to the right side this ring is to die for okay now I
turn myself back around and what I can see is that I definitely want to put one
here on that first bead and I think it's going to be a long one so I'm going to pick up seven seed
beads all right all right so let's go ahead and pick up seven seed
beads one 2 3 four five 6 7 let's look at our color
palette what could we use what could we use o that's a little Sparkle so let's
do that and one 2 3
four five six s make sure everybody goes
over the eye back through the right side yep back through the right
side and then I'm going to come out let me see what I'm liking here I
kind of think do I need one in the middle let's come out let's come out the
third and between the third and the
fourth let's see how this is going okay super pretty and let's do
    another long one so one
    two whoops three [Music]
four five 6 seven and what kind of
balance do we need over here should we do another copper this hold this guy looks a little smaller let's do that so
one one two three pick up some stragglers
    four four five six
seven then again we're going to go through the right side and all the way
out okay so let's see what we got going on
here um definitely looks like I might need to do one on let's do a let's let's
put a shorter one let's do four so we'll just do one
two three four o do we need that color over here oo that's pretty
    one whoops two
three four okay and back through the right right side
    and all the way out
okay awesome how's this looking oh so fun so pretty all right
and it looks like one two three four five six got a couple more
rows couple more rows so let's turn this around
and going to come up and in between that first and
second so hopefully too you're kind of seeing like how I gauge where I'm going to put a put a loop right
like I just work with the um the ring as
it's being developed like I don't really have um a plan other than the beads I'm
going to use okay so this is five seed beads and what could we use use for some
balance oh let's do another bugle we haven't done but one come on buddy there we go and again
    one two [Music]
3 three four five and on the right side this
time I'm going to this time I'm going to go all the way out so I'm doing a loop on that first
bead and I'm going to do a loop on the second bead and it looks like I could use some silver over
here so let's see one 2
3 four five and whoa those have got that
gu is's just too big now I would have used that I did not realize how big that guy was and honestly if I wanted to go
back and put him in there I could but I didn't okay I need a silver
where's a silver bead I need something in the silver family what's this guy okay here we
could do that here's this little guy and let's do um again
one [Music] two three four whoops four
five and right side of the bead and all the way
out okay that's great and then we'll turn
it turn in one two three four five six
so I'm going to come in here I'm going to do some more looks like I need some more long so we'll pick up seven seed
    beads one two three
four five six seven look at our color
palette what do we got going on here ooh that might be too might be too light for what I got
going on oh my goodness choices choices choices let's get the big guys out of there
because I know I'm not going to use those um oh I haven't used a big well
let's not go too big let's do that and then another
    [Music] seven
    two three four
five six seven seven over the
eye and let's see what this
does okay and we'll do seven again so one
    two three four five
six seven and we've got some copper we got some gold we got little pieces of
silver I feel like we need something something maybe another teal
or we too close to the teals I don't know is is I don't think you could ever do too much teal so we'll do another one
    of those one 2 3
four five 6 seven over the
eye back through the right side and all the way
out helping to guide that Wildfire so stinking
pretty okay so we got one more row so we're going to turn
and right let's see sorry one two three four five six yep let's finish the
seventh row we definitely want one here on the end so you can kind of see how
you know you you get an intuitive uh Direction on where to put
the loops after a while you kind of know like okay I need one right there to balance everything so in here I guess
the big big question is do I feel H I'm going to go with five seed
    beads so one 2 3 4
five and the big question we don't need
another bugle because we we're good there and we already got that on that
side we got [Music] gold we got teal where's that purple one
that I started with cuz that was really Gorge is this it maybe I think it's good
okay so one one two three
four five and we're going to go back through
that first back through that first bead and let me spread out here to kind
of see okay I'm going to go all the way out
again now again if I get this done and I find holes I can weave back in and I can
add so okay so let's do another pick up five
    seed beads one 2 3 4
five [Music] and okay what do we got what do we got
do we do no we'll do that color okay we'll do that um so
one two let's see three okay three three
    four
five okay and then all the way
out okay oh this is going to be so pretty oh my goodness look at this look
at how fun and pretty so let me just see if I feel like
I let me put like we it I don't know am I going to wear it on this finger if I
wear it on this finger right so let's let's see how that's gonna I might
turn it around well no I so I've got a I got a big one there and a big one there so I feel like the balance is
pretty good so what I'm going to do now the next um really wanted to focus
on the loops so we'll go ahead and we'll weave all of this back to the um back to
the end here I mean it could also be the top but we're going to go back to the
this first row all right so I'm just weaving back and
forth and the next step after this will
be to actually form the ring and so you don't you know you don't want to cut um
you don't want to cut this extra thread off because we're going to need it to sew the two ends together in the um
next video but there's your Loops oh my gosh what a beautiful I can't wait to
wear this so pretty so gorgeous so gorgeous so let me
just bring back in some of these other rings that I had all over I mean this
one is one of my all-time favorites look at all the these are s off by the way with seed beads this is a this gosh old
maybe 10 years old this ring I made that one a long long time ago and let's put
this my big chunky monkey because I love this ring this is like a um when you have one of those really cool you know
books on the coffee table right with all the pretty pictures so this yeah this is like the cocktail ring um this is all uh
chips amethyst chips and this is a a huge go-to goto for me in the summer um
I love the palette but look at all these so you could really get an idea of just
adding more seed beads or using less what kind of a look you're going to have and then of course the decorative beads
the check glass or the gemstones just really help to set them all apart all
right um master your loops and then I will uh show you how to
secure the two ends together pretty simple just like stitching thank you
can't wait to see what you make Sparkle on my friends Sparkle on
    Transcript for 2nd tutorial:
so once you have your beaded ring
completed that you've made on a bead
Loom you're going to want to sew the
last two rows together but first we have
to get the piece off of the Loom so I am
    going to bring in my
scissors and very carefully just go
    ahead
and got it clip those ends and now mind
you I want to show you something here I
    still have my needle and
thread attached all right so I didn't
cut that off when I was finished with my
Loops I wo back and forth through all of
these rows and then I put the needle and
the thread to the side so it's still
attached so what we want to do and I'm
always fascinated by whether or not this
first first attempt is going to work
that you can see let me hold these up
here because it's a little dark you can
    see
that um the loop on these warp ends it
it's still it's still intact right like
it's not um cut like the bottom ones
here so what I'm going to try to do for
Giggles is I'm going to to let me go
sideways here I'm going to bring in my
    flat nose
pliers and I'm going to see whether or
not I can very carefully oh there it
    goes do you see it
moving so it's working so I'm pulling
this warp I'm pulling this warp with my
right hand I've got my other hand really
holding down on the loops because I
don't want to I don't want the beads to
um shift so I'm really giving it some
weight here holding it down I'm pulling
    very
slowly ah the magic yay okay so that one
disappeared and we're happy about that
and now now see this one this might be a
little because I somehow can I get that
out of there let's see what happens I
    don't I don't believe it's going to work
but let's see for giggles I'm going to
grab I'm going to grab this
one yeah see they're all going to come
but what happens if I just kind of no
    let me come in
here so they're they're going to
disappear a little but they might not
    disappear
enough so I might be able to do
that but then I still have what's going
to happen here yeah see I have this
    notot darn it so that
    that's that's
interesting so we'll have to come up
    with a different game
plan yeah because it's not g to not
going to go do I have anything here no
okay so we will we will come back to
that but on this end you've got a couple
    different options
now so you have all these crazy warps um
in the past I have simply taken and for
instance we'll do this we can take these
    two and um tie
not so I'm kind of giving you like a
    couple different ways
    to end
here and in all honesty those are going
well so what I was going to say and what
I still will say is that by all means
you could bring in another needle right
not the one you've got over there but
you could bring in another needle and
    you
could rethread it right and then you
    could sew it
into the beaded rows that takes a little
time and because we're going to be
sewing these two ends together I feel
like we can make those knots disappear
    so let's just kind
of let's stay with that game plan so I'm
going to tie these two ends
however I'm going to correct myself
let's untie that guy really quick here
    because let's bring this
in I'm not going to be able to get my
fingers around those so I need these to
be oh what did I just do I just made one
    of them
disappear oh well thank you have no idea
how I did that but we're going to go
with it oh here it comes back I see what
happened okay so basically I'm pulling
these back out because I'm going to have
to tie them since it didn't work to pull
them through because of this knot right
here so I kind of got to give myself am
I going to be able to have enough yeah
that looks good okay so we're going to
stop right there and let's come back
    here
    and
again we're just going to tie these ends
together this is like a little bit of a
    fumina process
but you get the gist of it hopefully
    just going to
tie tie it all together and then let's
    tie this
    one
okay and I'm just doing two and I'm
being really careful not to pull too
tight because again I don't want to like
    have my project
    shift okay I'm going to
bringing in the bringing in the big guns
    okay I've got I've got my H
    Wildfire wild fire
burner and I'm just going to very
    carefully
here I like to leave a tiny tiny little
tail and then I very carefully just
swoop on top of it to make like a little
    a little
ball so let's do that over here as well
    and again just kind
    of swooping
down had to be you know it just takes a
    little
practice I don't want to accidentally
burn this one off this is the one I I
want to use to sew my two ends together
so I have to be careful with that
so okay okay all right perfect and then
what we'll do is we'll come over here
and then I've got to tie these together
    so I'm just cutting
    at whoops the loop
    there and and we'll go
ahead I'm going to get rid of this crazy
    little spider looking
    thing
    okay so
see it's when you got a tie it makes
life a little easier right when you have
a little bit more to grab on
to but I wanted to show you that it's
possible to pull the ends um pull the
warps and not have any you know not
having knots on both ends but you know
we try things we see what works we know
    that we have options
right so we just want to make sure in
the end that our ring is nice and secure
it's one of my most favorite things to
make are these Rings okay so then I'm
    going to go back
    in with the Wildfire
burner okay and we will close
that all right so let's get rid of all
    these Str
so that I don't pick them
up okay so now we have the making of our
ring right so we have to bring these two
    ends
together and so I'm going to grab my
needle and I'm going to get all these
    tools out of the
way and I'm going to come through this
row so we're literally sewing the two
last rows right like one of them was our
first and one of them was our last but
now they're coming together let me make
sure stay in that camera and then I'm
    just helping to guide the
wildfire and so see how that comes
together and then we're going to come
    back
    through
oops I just want to be patient with this
    process
    and pull it
together awesome so that's our first our
first Stitch okay and so I'm going back
through and I'll do this a couple of
times cuz I really want to make
sure that it's nice and strong
    okay and
oops so these are size o seed beads it
    would
be very close to impossible to get it um
through an 11 o so we always make the
base of our beaded rings with 8 O's so
now what I'm doing is I'm just going
    back
through the rows because it doesn't hurt
    to um you know add
    more more
wildfire and so we'll just go back a
couple of rows and then I'll work my way
    towards the other
side and by all means if you wanted to
come in with like a little dab of hypo
    cement or whatever your favorite
jewelry um glue is just making sure that
it's one that dries clear you could um
put little dabs where the two
    rows um
met it's getting a little little tight
on that one row there because we've gone
back and forth a couple of
times and it's all up to you like if you
feel like you your band is a little
loose and you just want to go through
all the rows that you can then by all
means if you've got the wildf fire left
over you know to keep doing that then um
    it won't
    hurt okay
whoops and so then I'll start working my
    way back
y so just just some stitching
here and let's see oh who you can feel
you can feel your first row coming
because it's starting to get really
    tight
I'm just checking it out seeing what's
    going on
here and I'm going to come back a couple
    more rows and then
    whoops and let's
see okay um what I'm going to do is I
want to like tie off on one of the one
of the warps so here I'm going to come
through the first spead let's go through
the second bead and then out and in
    between that second and
third and then I'm just going to take
the needle and come under the
warp okay and then I'll come back
through that Loop because I'm making a
knot and I'll be able to hide that nice
and then I'll take the needle and thread
push it to the back so that the knot
    follows okay
    and very very very
    carefully I'm going
    to use the Wildfire
burner okay cool I think it's all good
let's see what happens which ring did it
fit oh I so I'm a little puffy right now
let's see if it'll fit my uh ring oh it
does see it's so funny our
bodies isn't that great oh my goodness
look it look it let me stand up and see
    if I can't really get a
nice oh my gosh I love this so much I
love it I love it I love it it's so
funny I'll go get my ring drawer and I'm
like wait a minute why don't I have
    a brown colored copper
yummy ring in my stash it's like I've
got all these blues and greens and pinks
so this is going to get worn a lot how
much fun oh boy I am really puffy
monster isn't this great look at how fun
so yeah look how nice and
clean very cool and again if you wanted
to you could just go in sometimes too
I'll bring my needle and in and I'll
just kind of Squish things if I see that
one of the knots is is up but really
with the dark colors you can't see much
but uh you know for Giggles you could
definitely put like a little hypo cement
or even a little um white glue again
whatever it is just make sure that it um
    it dries clear
    so very
    groovy so excited
fun hope you enjoyed this and I can't
wait to see the rings that you make
