yeah this morning you went to the yeah store i got a cute little bowl ah adorable
i love it joan is in the house she's helping out
tonight again guys let's give jon [Laughter]
so yeah we're gonna give everybody a little bit of time to make their way in here
i don't know what we can even talk about we talk about everything on the phone
that's true we talk like every day so [Laughter]
let's see well i don't know
well i can tell you what i've been working on this there we go um i
i've been working on the house quite a bit um i am working on getting our dining room
back to order that's kind of been quite the mess
and how did you two meet oh that's a good question yeah eat fest
bead fest we met at philadelphia bead fest at the jesse james beads
party experience that they had
yeah and we realized we were only an hour and a half tops away from each other for
like an hour and 15. um and then we started talking on the phone it's starting when once uh covid
hit we were like each other's support system so we started talking every single day
and we just have been a day here or there but
but we mostly talk every day and get all the load down in the uptown every day so
yeah because so much happens in our lives well yeah i mean we are
the most exciting chronically ill people i know
we talk about our my kids and our pups yes and our families pops are a good subject
yes yes suzanne was one of my partners for uh
jesse james yeah she's my buddy very fun buddy
hey sherry so yeah that's what i've been doing you're getting some company tomorrow
mario's brother's coming in to visit and which will be nice we have a for a while
whoa that was just like what blackie
yeah so guys i'm gonna warn you ahead i can tell tonight my internet is being less than wonderful
so you'll have to just kind of bear with me if it cuts out here there amber will let
me know hopefully if it's acting up too much but uh so
well do you want to spot me and you flip down or sorry your show
there we go oh i got really big yeah you did oh my goodness oh
thank you looking good oh i'm excited about what trish is gonna
make hi vicky so guys uh the pattern is in the description
of the video it's a free pattern for you so if you would like to
uh download that you are more than welcome i'm sure joan will put it up there for
us too when she has she tweeted all right i'm gonna go over there she is
and let's put amber how do i get you over on the side do you want to i can do that yep okay you do that you're better at that
sure one one more time well good evening of course guys and as soon as i get to
be big i'm gonna show you my i'm trying i'm trying i know you are
honey why what maybe i have to do it maybe okay
here you try hit the little three people no
i don't know why it's i don't know it's confusing
oh it's because you're highlighted here let's do this no all right enough medicine
let's just do it this way how's that amber okay that's okay okay
we don't want to have too much trouble so anyways guys here is our pattern this
is called the pink southwest pattern i guess and it uses five colors
which i thought was hi gloria i thought was a reasonable amount of beads to be able
to do a bracelet and what i'm going to do guys i'm going to walk you through the pattern a little bit and then
uh i'm gonna show you the beads and things like that and then we'll go from there so
basically on your pattern the first page is the bead legend
i was seeing if i could do it sorry that's okay god the first page is the bead legend
okay and it has all the for for newbies i'm gonna go through this um all of the colors
on the pattern corresponds with a letter on
your pattern your bead legend okay so it's blue
so chart a chart for a is this darker blue and you can see that's beside the a
and it's also the a's are blue on this pattern okay so
that's the first page that way if you want to purchase these beads or use these beads out of your stash you can
see the colors and you can also see the bead number here so say if you had
to order them other than jewels which i would not do but
you want to do that but the reference numbers are here in case you need them okay
because they're on every bottle then the numbers are you know so it just kind of gives you another point that you can
reference um so here's our pattern this is two sections of it now
and here's the third section you would start with this one at the very bottom
here to do your pattern okay and work your way up if
you're going to use eights you don't have to do that you can just start with this pattern
because you're only going to get two sections if you do eights which is what i'm going to teach with today instead of
the 11s because it'll be easier to see but when you do the 11s you'll get all three of these sections in a row okay
so that shows you that and and then you get also a word chart
for each if say if you're not one to read that kind of pattern you prefer to see it this way and it says you know row
1 5a you know and it'll work its way down there's actually five pages to this
and i folded the fifth one because i this is not the way i like to do it i do it by the color patterns that's how my
mind best reads it so what i do is i take the last page and i fold it in thirds
and then get my pattern right in here and i don't need this because i've
already gathered my beads so they're right here and then open them and put them in my
beautiful bead board from jewels so
isn't it awesome yes so what i'm going to do here guys is i'm going to get this section and the
pattern out because i'm only going to be able to do two sections with the eights okay
and we're gonna work it i'm gonna make sure i can get it in here for you you switch this over just a hair
so there's our pattern and then what i usually do is i'll take this paper that i folded and just lay it
above the row i'm gonna work okay so i'm gonna actually start this
this way with the little one because i just noticed don't start your one section don't start your two section
here because i just noticed this kind of overlaps a little bit so just started on this page guys just to be sure that
everything's going to be even for you that was a misfit spoken thing for me they're so good so i have
my pattern and i'm laying this right above the first row so i can keep track on some of the patterns that i've used
the rows off with a pen physically as i'm doing it because right now i'm working on a rose bracelet that has 24
widths of wildfire wide so
it's making my eyes cross and it's done with size 11 delicas so that makes it easier for me is as i
go through each row i just put a little check mark beside each that i do that works best for me
so sandy had a nice tip she uses a post-it note
yes that's awesome and that's sticky so that'll stay right where you put it
but if you don't have a post-it you can always use the last page of your pattern if you're like me
okay so we're going to get started here guys i'm going to use the original loom jewel doom here
and i'm going to put my rod in and we're just going to refresh again for anyone that does not
know how to put your rod in so i'm just going to place the bottom of the rod into this hole here
i'm my belly's down here so i'm just going to slightly push the loom into my belly just to blow it
just slightly okay and i'm gonna pop my rod in the top hole as we always say
guys if your rod won't go in say if you get a new jewel loom and you need to adjust the ends of your rod you
just take a piece of a plier and you know these little things that are sticking out here on the back
this let me take this out and show you just for those who might not know
okay you would just take your plier and just give it an ever so slight lift
just like so mine's fine so i won't be adjusting it but that gives you an idea
on how you can adjust your rod so you won't have trouble getting it in and out okay
so there we go and we're going to straight we're going to um string tonight put our warps on with
wildfire and this pattern is five wide so we're going to need six strands and with eight
does it is one groove for each leave it out one groove for
each bead okay if we're gonna do it with elevens guys you're gonna have them the strings right
in the grooves next to each other so every groove you will have this six wide for the elevens
how is the loom great question debbie i did know that here i have my tape
measure let me do this i know um i didn't know like 13 or something like that i believe so something like that
so i hope that helps okay and then the small wisdom warrior is also 12 inches in length
right they're the same so they're interchangeable as long as you don't use
wire you you can use wire on this but you can't really use it on the balsa products okay
so we're gonna use wildfire on my original one that i did that you're gonna see here later i use pink looks
adorable and guys you can change these colors out too don't forget if this doesn't really
sing to your soul then change you can change any of the colors interchange anything you know
that so turn this over and i saw jules do this and i never did
i always just wrapped it around and then tied it but she made a loop
like so put the loop around and then ah tied she's what a great idea well she
did invent it yes and then i'm just gonna give it two
knots you can do three let's do three just for good measure because i think she did three so we're gonna go
how the how the queen of the jewel room does it because she knows so guys all i'm going to do is i'm going
to lay this wildfire in some of the ridges here come in a little ways from the edge
and i'm going to keep touching on it as i'm going across and i'm going to come in right about i'm
going to eyeball it come in about the same space across
then what i'm going to do is i'm going to come around the back and wrap around the knob on the back
skip one groove and wildfire is far from my most
favorite thing to work with just you know it's hard on my hands yeah it is yes
let me see i'm sure i'm skipping one yes jules is a great teacher so yes she is
yes she is she's an amazing person too as most of you know
so we just skipped one groove here guys so our eight eight oh can fit in there
so we're gonna have one empty groove come across do the same thing
skip in one groove turn it over grab the knob and i'm very my you know i'm flipping
and flopping my loom as i'm you know uh warping it because it just seems like
it works better for me when i can move it around to get to what i uh need to get to so same thing here
we're gonna skip one take it across and i'm at all times keep
intention on this okay and if this will be your first time
using wildfire and it doesn't get enough tension on your first time
i'm gonna tell you don't feel bad you're not alone in this world with that no because
you know it it is it's it's more difficult to do sometimes so i know the
first few times i did it it was a challenge so we're now on our fourth
strand across we have two more and the same thing we're just skipping
one this is a very simple pattern i figured that way then anyone
could do it or the more advanced folks you could change it up a little bit if you wanted to you know
and don't forget to get your pattern guys um
yeah thanks for providing that trish yeah it's in the description thank you it's fun i enjoy doing the patterns um
but yeah make sure you get that in the description guys don't miss out on it
okay so now we have one two three four five and this is number six guys so
we're just going across six warps skipping one groove in between and that is all she
wrote so i'm gonna wind this around the back a couple times and i'm still keeping tension on it guys
always keep the tension and i'm gonna trim this so i can tie it off
and i did have something in my mouth when i said that oh sandy when she has a moment uh we'll
make sure she holds it up it's a very pretty sandy wants to see your bracelet when you have a moment oh the spanish tiled
bracelet yes uh that is actually
from one of the workshops that jules did those workshops are just they're they're
just phenomenal every time she knocks yes it's so nice okay so
so we're gonna do i did one knot two knots and three okay
just tying that off nice and snug guys what did you get beverly you said you got mine
got mine oh maybe her kit or her workshop for the month so that is what our warps look like guys
before i take the rod out so then i'm just going to do what we did at the beginning
i'm going to press it into my belly slightly and remember flexible not
bendable guys okay so i'm just flexing it and i'm popping that
rod up with my finger here and taking it out okay and now we have a real nice work there
that we can work with all right so let me show you my bracelet here quickly guys this is the spanish tile workshop
is what this was and look at those fire polishes um we had these printed
the printed tiles those are so pretty that she had in there and provided fire
polish you can't go wrong with that so no yeah and just a really pretty button and i just kind of
um colored mine and made it look like kind of uh antiqued and
worn that was the look i was wanting to go with especially with this color of emp
so yeah it is a beauty sandy that's for sure okay guys so here we are we're all
warped so now we just need to take out i usually do a width and a half
an arms width and a half because i have long arms but you can also do two
but with the eight you're not gonna need as much of it you know it's
a bigger bead and it goes together quicker for you so here we go so i just cut
my thread and i'm gonna take the end of it and i'm going to attach it to this far left warp
i'm going to come up a ways because we're going to need strands to be able to tie this off all right and i'm just
going to do a couple knots there and i usually it's kind of weird guys but i use the
hole here and i know from experience if i tie right in front of that slightly
i'm usually pretty good with my threads okay having enough to tie off with so you know if that works for you
go ahead and give it a shot because i i you know as i've
loomed and looned and loomed i've learned that you know that that's what gives me the amount that i need
okay so i'm gonna take the other end what's that honey oh i was just gonna say i do the same thing
oh i thought your tattoo was a clasp here we'll just take that off so you can
sorry oh no it's fine honey but no i was just showing them so
that's my tattoo this is the bracelet
oh vicky's here we are definitely all warped now i will have get the loom done
okay guys so as always i'm going to take my thread and i'm just going to give it a little pinch between my flat nose
pliers to flatten it out so it's easier to thread and on our little board here
it is so adorable but not only that it keeps your seed beads all separated for you and there's a little piece of cork
here so you can stick your needle into it that's where my needle is now setting
so that is awesome i'm loving this new little doodad here it is so cute so
i'm just gonna thread put my thread my needle all right guys and then i'm gonna go
over here to my pattern and i'm going to go to the first row
i'm going to scooch everything because i think i'm going off camera again yes there we go make sure everybody can see everything
so our first row is just five across of our blue
tina loves your tattoo hun thank you it's one of three
two three four five so we have our five beads on guys and we're just gonna drop them down
just like we always do okay and we're gonna put our needle across
underneath runner thread this is just my technique that i like to
do i like to pull between my fingers like so because it kind of keeps everything straight and neat and i'm
going to study this loom with my hand here and then i'm going to take my pointer
finger and push those up through so i have them all up through the middle
of the earth through the warps okay and i'm just going to take my needle over top
of the warps go around that last warp and then push it through your feet okay
and it's as simple as that that's our first row yay
again this is with eights guys so it's gonna be two sections
so the next one up it's two blue pink and two blue did anyone uh download the pattern
are you eating along with me i know a few you girls were
already getting the pattern in order and all that when i saw on the julian group
okay so i'm picking my beads up same thing guys i have kitty tattoos but they're on my
upper arm we couldn't have visible ones where it worked well i worked at a bank
and they weren't their favorite things but believe me and i had
i had the one on my wrist and one on my back uh
when i worked started working there and for the wrist one i was able to like kind of disguise it with bracelets i was
worse a stack but once i got the one on my chest on the left side of my chest
that was a little more difficult to to um hide it
hide it yeah but well that's what camisoles are for i guess so same thing guys i'm just
pushing it up through here so far maria has the pattern and
our friend i always i want to say her name right i leanna eileen
alina so they both mentioned they have the
pattern good good you're on it
be sure to post guys i love it when i see your creations all right so the next row you
can see here scooch that over just a smidge here so now we're getting into the southwest
pattern so i did the b that's i did b that's the beginning of it this p bead here and now we're going to start
a susan hasn't suzanne hasn't gotten the
pattern yet and neither is vicky she said something's up with her ipad and google but she's thinking
red orange yellow turquoise and black ooh yes i want to see i want to see
i know i want to see how that turns out that's what i just can't wait for is to see all that stuff so
here we are guys abc ba is what we're doing here okay
abc not my pink's up a lot of like so
that's my b uh that's tough yeah but it it does
but the one is like a slight different color so you can you can tell
and especially by them being listed with b and c you know
you'll be able to tell i just keep this little item oh yeah that's a good idea and i just reference it just to make
sure i'm on the right track you know just keep it so you can glance at it
yeah zach the the pattern is there's a link in the description but i'm sure joan can post
it again for everybody yep that's free for everybody whoever
yeah i've been having fun with patterns i've made quite a few i haven't got them posted where i want
them yet but i hope to eventually so we did
no yeah okay okay i was like wait a minute but no no no
did i mess up already no there we go i guess uh suzanne was bead buddies with
vicky as well but her spell check said icky instead of vicky
i'm so sorry oh that's gonna be your new nickname vicky i'm sorry but it is
we love you victory sorry yes we do the only thing we know we can joke
with her yes yes she's a card so now i'm going to
pick up we have no blue in this row so we're starting with our b
this uh innocent pink is like my favorite i love it it's so pretty this one right here
yeah joan says icky finn is very memorable
gosh guys you cracked me up so we're just going to keep working along here guys
sorry about nothing and it doesn't take much suzanne to send us off so especially me
[Laughter] oh we had one of those nights at dinner
tonight at the table we just did you oh just kept laughing
when you have a bunch of teenagers in the house oh my goodness yep so we're moving on up
and we're going to do the same row that we just did
today for some reason zach zach loves your uh
pattern so she got it oh good good good i'm glad guys
and just keeping on keeping on we had two repeat rows so that's my second one
vicki says she gets derailed all the time keeping on track isn't her forte but icky vicky i can live with that
she said her kitty's going to take a nap now she can pay attention so that is what we have so far guys
starting to come together here so we did two
yeah joan one section would make very pretty earrings with 11 0's i agree
yes please make it all guys i want to see
yes we love seeing your creations guys yes if you're not on facebook you can
i don't know send us a message somehow the picture or if if you're in the loom school community you can post yes
we can have jules at a live section or something for you know from the lives people there you go if we need
to now if she feels up to doing that or wants to do that sure
okay joan's going to do it for us oh look at joan
and zach loves the idea of earrings good good
okay so we're now we're getting into our turquoise and you'll notice guys this pattern is very
uh pastel but that's just my taste as i said you know as someone mentioned there
they're gonna use some darker colors some more vivid colors that would be awesome
all right so i'm gonna grab i'm on this row here so i'm going to do is
does anyone use the written versus the actual color
pattern when they make bracelets i'm curious i like to pattern
yeah i do too i do too that's how my brain reads things you
know best oh joan uses the written
name is joey and nicole is in the house
hi nicole how are you honey pattern for me sandy says pattern for
sherry i did find when i was doing a 3d object though when i was learning to make those
stars that i actually used the written
oh did you yeah because the pattern it's harder to read the pattern it's not as straightforward
as because it the 3d like how they i don't know how they lay it out it's funky for
me okay oh curious everybody's saying pattern they all
you're getting into pattern yep
this little board is like so perfect for this i love it well in your cup it make your
colors made it look very princessy it surely does surely does
well there you have it right in a nutshell right with me princessy yes of course i think
i think i have to do that so i'm getting away from myself here all right so i'm doing now i'm going to
go below this once i get the first few rows done i
like to come in from below so we're here c d e d c
oh our friend i i i cannot i'm sorry eileen
just played in the chemo i just can't keep it in my head it's okay she's gonna make a wrapped
style bracelet i can't wait with this oh yeah just to see it
you go girlfriend all right so now we're getting into the section
we're going to be making our middle so pretty oh it is kind of cute thank you i'm proud
of it and then so guys in general these each row repeats
itself there's a row here in the middle that's not going to repeat itself but in general there's two rows
of each okay to kind of make that easier for you to
get you know look at get a grasp on or whatever so we're up to the next row
nicole and rosalinda i'm glad to hear you're both feeling better
yes yes i saw that nicole was sick i didn't know rose linda was too yeah it looks
like i guess she had a covet as well i'm so sorry ladies
it's too bad all right so we're repeating that row
debbie's asking can you make a wrap bracelet on a smaller loom are you referring to the the baby loom debbie or
what are you maybe because you have to use the the great big
loom to make wrap bracelets usually because with maybe she's thinking could we do it
on here or do it on wisdom warrior and i think the answer to that is yes
especially with the wisdom warrior on on the original i wouldn't think so but on
the wisdom warrior there are um
there's no grooves on the other side it's only one i thought it had two or is that the
silver silk i'm thinking of that's the silver silk and the large okay
yeah i thought the wisdom were your head teeth on the back of it i guess not
i think the small what is it the sun the small sun goddess
one yeah silver silk you could do a wrap bracelet
on yeah oh uh jules uh jules sorry joan says you
can make a wrap bracelet on the original by beating in sections and stitching them together yes there you go
i knew we kept her around for a reason [Laughter]
all right now we're on to this section and you'll see me guys i'll keep i keep
having to regroup when i'm doing any kind of pattern i like to just make sure before i move on to the next row i
usually double or triple check that i'm in the right place because you know at my heart i'm not a seed
beater i like at the point where i like seed beads now i never used to even want to look at them
so but i always want to make sure it's right because i don't want to have to tear it out and go back you know i have
definitely messed up on patterns before yeah yeah cb patterns and if you you know
do four or five rows and it's all at a sink that's not a good thing so
i'm just kind of i'm a little overkill i guess but
no the pattern is getting off the screen again let me get that back on that's okay my beads are creeping in and my
pattern's creeping off that tells you how i how i feed i'm like a wild woman
let's get that shot there for you all right so we did that row
and we're moving up i'm gonna repeat that
uh suzanne says she loses her place she asks do you ever number your rose
uh i don't but that's a good idea like i said i said um earlier that i do mark
off the rows like check mark them but that's a good idea too you know if you wanted to put numbers beside them
i put little dots now now on your written it does say row one
row two row three row four so if you wanted to do it that way but if you could write it on here as well
you know so so we're working on that row see me
double checking again oh that's i think that's i do that all
oh wow maria has a pattern that has 30 delica colors
she's counting and recounting wow i think my one i'm doing with
delicas right now has let's see three six nine ten colors
i don't think i could do 30. i don't think so either 10's like pushing it i know yeah that's very
impressive honey very impressive this would probably look cute and delicious too oh yeah
oh definitely you know i'm a touhou purist i do i use delicas once in a while like
i said that one pattern i'm working on i've been working on it for ages though guys because it's so intricate
it's just like not my you know though it's just not that kind of thing is not my
um my favorite i shall say
um i do it because i want to challenge myself and i want to prove that i can do it
yeah i like to conquer techniques and then if they're not my favorite techniques i never do them again but i
at least want to conquer it one time i'm the same way yeah
it's like i don't know why people do this after i finish some of them i know
this is not fun at all no some of them you know it just depends
on what you're doing but you know yeah nicole says she has a clipboard that has a ruler that slides
up and down and she uses that i know where did you get that uh clip for
nicole that sounds really cool yeah it does that would definitely help matters
especially with older eyes and you know it's funny though i was just saying
to my husband yesterday or the day before i said i feel like my prescription is changing already oh so
is mine i just got them i know well you remember when i got my betsies
that was i know that was the end of last year but
yeah it's getting old guys so
we have our so we did two blue rows here
and now we have the purples on the ends now we're getting this is the center row that we're going to be working on next
and that's going to have that turquoise bead right in the middle and that's the one that we don't
repeat okay that's going to be just a single row of that pattern
okay maria says it's a frida kahlo uh pattern
oh i saw one of those on hats and on etsy i was going to download and i'm
just i love all things frida though i do too i do too it's really cool
but yes susannah we're using edo's tonight that is correct yeah it is we're using
those tonight just so you guys can see it better and understand the pattern before going
to the 11's but you know if you want to jump right in with your 11s go for it
but i just wanted to make sure you could see what was going on and i figured this would be a good way and it'll make when
you're using h you'll get two sections on this when you're using 11's you'll get all three sections okay and it's
going to be skinnier of course because you're not going to leave the space in between each work you're not going to
leave the groove in between each one okay so let me
do a few more rows and then we'll get on to tying it off and
putting clasp on how about that sounds good so sabrina says she has a loom but for
those who don't have a loom and still want to make a bracelet what can you use to make a bracelet
great question sabrina they probably have to make a homemade loom i would think
yeah i don't know i don't know any other way
yeah i don't either honey that would be sturdy enough and that would keep things taut enough for you to
be able to loom i don't i mean and it's nice though because the
original looms are very reasonably priced oh yeah um
so i mean you know you can pick one um up for like 12
or something yeah which is nice and i know it's hard some people don't have 12 dollars i
completely understand that you can check out i know that michael's
was moving the looms on and not selling them in their stores so some of them were discounted
yeah they're they're just selling them online now yeah
so maybe the clearance section at the store that was a while ago but they still might have a couple here and there
lingering you don't know they were like five bucks so
that was a nice treat yeah yes thank you for sharing that treat
with me to get for my mom sure absolutely honey
you've seen the limited hobby lobby yep they do have it yeah
they surely do yeah the original loom kit is a great i
was just gonna look at it uh is a kit and you get
um you can buy on on thejuloom.com
you can buy the kit which you get um you get the original you get the baby
you get needles some really pretty beads some hemp uh and a button
um all in that and that one is
only right now it's on sale for only 24.99 oh wow and you get everything you need
to start yeah everything's there to get just the loom
uh on jeweloom.com it's 12.99 so yeah that's very reasonable
but again understand that ever not everybody nowadays right
everything's so tight for everyone oh
gloria has joined us and she said she recently bought a beading board for seed beads that lets you lay the pattern
right on it interesting oh you have to share a picture of that
gloria i'm trying to visualize that
whoa that was a flip with my threat look at my board
but my thread grabbed my board and flipped it oh my goodness that's okay
they're still because of the board they're pretty well organized yeah they are they held up yep
now if i would have did that when they were just on my mat forget it zack you could certainly try to make
this bracelet with size six beads i don't see why not it would just make it bigger and wider you
may only be able to get one section of beading instead of two yeah and then just have to put solid
color on the end or whatever you want to do on the ends to get it to your size
you know but yeah there's there's a ton of ways you can do it yes uh
rosalind asks there's a travel bag for the loom yeah it's a little plastic bag that comes with it um
it's i don't think something has been impressed with it we don't know you know
it's not that it's a bad product it's just you know
i don't think i'd use it that's more what it is yeah yeah i guess that's the way to do it to say it yeah and it's not
i mean it's if you want to put your loom in it flat and stuff it works great but if you want to put you have a warped
project you know and you want to take it with you somewhere it's hard to fit in there so
um amber actually got me this really cool case and i don't
have it up here right now but it's almost like a you get it she got it at walmart in the craft section but it's
almost like a um it's a tackle box tackle box thank you i
couldn't think of the word um i was thinking bait box but that's not right um
so yeah and it fits a warped loom in the bottom of it easily along with other
stuff so i mean that's a thought too if you're looking for
the case yeah i can show it before we leave tonight i have mine next to me
but yeah i'm gonna do this is my last row because we do want to get to
the the um workshop for this month amber's going to show us that
so i think you guys probably have the hang of it and i'll show it up close here in a second
you can get a pencil case for it that's a good idea too becky there's all kinds of ways
this first row i put on is kind of loose guys so what i'll do to tighten that up
just a little trick you can take your knots out on this side and then pull it snug again
and tie your knots again but if you want to leave the knot there if you want to run the strand back
through you're going to untie those knots anyway and you can tighten the row and bring it to the center and tie it off okay
and here is what we have so far it's beautiful i really like what you
did thank you thank you and i'm just going to put that up here
my pattern so i did make one guys
and this is with the two sections from the eights okay
and i took it off the loom already and i did one side i put the slide clasp
on this side clasp works genius for this bracelet so basically what it did
is covered up the last blue row so if you want to put like a generic
bead on each end so you know that it's going to go inside your slide clasp you can certainly add that extra row if you
would like okay so now we're going to knot this off and there we have six strands coming out
so that makes it easy that's three on each side that i'm going to tie
all right and i'm gonna just take all three of them together wrap it around my finger
push the ends through and you can see um i left there was plenty of string there
from where i had centered it and a lot of times guys what i'll do let me see where i put my other
this is a little trick i like to do because i don't know about you but i have trouble with the wildfire getting the knot where i want it so i will
take the needle and put it through the loop and i just work it
i pull on the strands and as i as i am i'm like working this down to where i want it to be knotted
and then i have a nice knot right on the end okay woohoo you go girl it probably should
come in a little closer for you guys for this that's a great idea yeah so it works
really handy let's see there so same thing we're going to do the same thing on this side
yeah suzanne she likes the slide clasp too she said yeah several people have commented how much they like the slide
clasp yeah i like them too yes they are so simple
and easy although i am going to be teaching you
guys a leather clasp at one point here it's actually what was done
in the workshop last month um for the end of the hat band so i'll
be coming on at one point and teaching you that i just haven't figured out what project i want to do it with just yet
so that'll be a new experience for some folks anyway yeah so
here's our knots i always grab a tissue or a paper towel or something
when i grab my gsi postmed and i'm just going to warm that up with my hands i'm going to move these beads
because you know yes oh my goodness debbie's asking if
you use a special needle no i'm using the jewel loom needle and it is a special needle because it is wonderful
but i use a jewelry needle it works great for that i just take the needle off that i use to
work the bracelet and tell i had too much coffee today i'm
like [Laughter] and i have to drink like the big time coffees i don't mess around so mine has
like tons of caffeine and dark and espresso and all that kind of stuff so
it's ridiculous all right so we have our knots i'm just
going to let that set for just a minute blow on it a little bit
no squeezing of the blue vicky no right she pays attention i was just holding it
in my hand just to warm it guys don't forget to do that because then it becomes never flowing i'm gonna take my
cutter oops sorry honey yes oh that's okay i'm just gonna take my
wild uh my thread cutter here and i'm just gonna take off the end of the
cord there and then i usually will take my wildfire or this thread cutter excuse me and just
tap it on my top of my um wildfire just to kind of get it
down to the bottom it makes it like kind of a little hard nub there on top so it looks much
easier and it'll go into your side class a lot easier guys
same thing on this side i'm sure a lot of you do that but it's a good trick vicky says that's why my typing so
screwed up my coffee mug is 32 ounces well i drink small in small glasses but
a cup but sometimes i have a third and have um iced coffee
i didn't today but i needed to take a quick drink here speaking of guys my throat's getting dry
sabrina and joan use a big eye needle okay works great
so i'm just going to detach this end from here just so it's a little easier to slide it on
and so you can see here the ends open on this guys so it makes it fairly simple just to
kind of line the crack on the bottom up with the
underneath the first row of beads on your wildfire and then you just slide it across
work it over and then close the end i mean how how much easier can that be guys
okay there's our clasp on and our bracelet
get this looking good lady what's up
there you go guys that's finished eight o's this is made with eight o's
beautiful honey yeah so there you go guys make sure you get your pattern if you're coming in late make sure you get
your pattern on the description so you can play around with it and show me what you can do here
and amber i'm gonna put you up there okay i was just flipping my camera here
i'm all ready when you are good there we go i'm here hi friends
i'm gonna show you this month's creative soul box
it's super super fun you've already seen a piece of it trish was using um
the bead board so the bead board's part of it this month so
there's mine so cute oh my goodness yeah joe says a lot of
people were telling her that brown thought that their board was missing something it does look that way it does
it does and i that was my first reaction too but then i'm like oh my gosh that's cork for
my needle that is ingenious i totally did that too and i got a sticker
yes i love that sticker it's so and of course i know
some tea and my cookie always tea and cookie
and then we're gonna be making earrings and stuff so all the the finishing end pieces
um and she sent us all a sample of the possible earrings that
she's gonna be selling in her shop so very pretty
and i think i got what did i get did i get lotus too i don't know did you eat a different one i got lotus okay yeah
but a lot of people got some people got the the um leaves or the feathers or the
butterflies or the sun so yeah so you get earrings but it might not be the lotus and then trying out a new
tassel maker and then wait until you see these beads oh my goodness
look at this i don't know did everyone get a tassel maker or is that just us
dylan do you know is it just us
so we've got let's see what colors we got going on here we've got corn flour
and cantaloupe good enough to eat it
so cute and of course turquoise
and then this is dandelion these colors so summery so i'm so
excited to see what we make yeah they are pretty colors i'm i am
really digging the bright colors with this and then um lift this up for a sec and i will show
you guys this is my tackle box yes so that's the exact one she got me too
guys there's like a little compartment up here that i throw some beads in and
stuff and then it opens up and i have my tools my wildfire
and some random beads and then just more tools and stuff and i
actually all my original looms in their platform fit down here plus
other stuff and a baby loom so yeah i don't think they
they sell this in the crafting department anymore but i mean it's a tackle box so
it might be different colors so yeah yeah works great
works fabulous and i appreciate that gift and mine got decorated by the sci
guy yes my little guy so he did a really good job with that
yes he did so yes uh becky oh man i missed that did i hear butterflies yes we're gonna be
and i'm gonna be doing a video probably either this weekend or the beginning of next week and we're going
to be putting it into uh the um kajabi
for everybody that is part of the creative soul workshops to get to
so that's a little bit of an initiative is the word
to get into the workshop i mean you're not you can sign up just for one month if you just want to try it too guys so
keep that in mind you don't have to make a major commitment if you want to try it be able to poke around see what's
kajabi's like that's a great teaching platform i mean jules does a fantastic job
she breaks down the videos into little parts so you can go exactly to where you want to
in the learning you know in in the learning that's offered there so
that's a great setup you have several tackle boxes vicky somehow
that went fast for wire working some for findings and beans nice so great yeah they're nice little
i've even taken my tackle box to trish's house with oh why are you highlighting me
ah there we go uh and and with a project on it like it can be
in the bottom with the project on it and travel yeah so that was one thing i really liked
about yeah about the tackle box yeah so i hope you guys enjoyed your our
project this week let me know i'll be anxious to see what you come up with yeah
and next week we'll be making an anklet so lacey anklet elizabeth the anklet yes
you know what i will be doing i will send out material soon i'll let you guys know yes that's working out
pretty good i think kind of putting on a materials informational video or list or however
we want to do it because a lot of folks seem like they're interested to kind of gather stuff up before and just be along
with us so that's super fun yeah so awesome sauce all right guys well i
guess that's it it was a super fun one as always and we'll see you next thursday
