and we're live just like that guys help everybody
having a great week yes most definitely it's been a hot week
here in montgomery this week same here and hot i like that 70 degree
weather i know we're not too awful far away huh i like the 70s too
yeah i spend a lot more time out in the deck when it's in the 70s yes
yes or on the patio i mean deck who has a deck i don't have a deck
i have a patio my husband's brother called it a veranda
one time and he was here i'm like this is montgomery dude it's not a girl it's not a miranda
oh man we got some friends here hi guys hi bonnie hi sherry
and facebook user is that vicki again as facebook user being she's undercover
again isn't maybe hi brenda hi sandy
i was you were in high school in the 70s fun that is fun
where did that come from well she heard me say the 70s but we were talking about the 70s temperature
temperature-wise i was born in 1974 so i don't know
but hey my friend gloria was in high school in the 70s yeah there you go
or like almost 10 years apart so that makes sense i guess because i was an 80s child just like you
yelp well do you want to show our friends the
uh finished bracelet that you from last week sure you sure do and i'll have a little pouring
here for you hi melanie hi honey okay guys so on our project last
week we made our pearl bracelets with the little flower
flourishes and um fire polish so this is the one that i was working on at the
beginning that i did get finished and let me see my lighting is not very good today apparently
but um i did get that finished and that's what that looks like i did
put another decorative button on it let's see if i can get this light up here oh
i did put a decorative button on it oh so pretty you can make it out there
um and i have a little tip for you guys you know how on the finished one i was struggling to get the six millimeter
fireplace on the ends well the reason that was was because i
found out that the two strip strands i was working with the one had smaller holes in it and that
does happen sometimes with beads yeah yeah so the one that had the larger
holes on went right on so just be on the lookout if you're gonna put your um
little tassels on with your fire polish you know use the larger hole beads if you have them so so that is our finished
project there and i'm wearing our pink one i love because i claimed that i cleaned
that one yeah i don't know yet my mom's eyeballing this one really hard oh
so well we have a new friend hi jay from albuquerque new mexico
so it looks like you're on facebook so make sure if you give them permission
uh to use uh stream yard thank you um it'll show your name for us but thank
you for sharing your name and welcome to the group and rhonda and sandra stacy
and and you know how to say her name oh i
eileena is that how you elena yeah i believe so i hope that's how i always say it's
right i will keep trying right yeah yeah thank you bonnie thank you i
thought they did turn out pretty but this is going to be a really fun project this week too we're going to yeah
from amber this week so let's so here it is so if you can see
the ends are tapered and then we have i'm going to teach you
how to do the sliding knot so and then i also
um i can flip my camera around and you can see him better here um
and then here we go we'll go to me
hi everybody and it's coming it's coming there we are
all right so trish will share with you guys i did make a bead pattern
but in learning the technique i found it easier to do a very basic bracelet
um and i was trying different things and you can see this was my first attempt so
the string i found a way to make it look a little neater there so
and then uh we have our sliding knot so just a different way to do a bracelet
um but we're gonna we're gonna do it simply tonight
um it just makes it easier to learn the technique but you can certainly attempt to try it with the the pattern
when you look at the pattern uh the outside line not up here on the
triangle but the outside line is uh we're going to use hemp
and wildfire so we're using both so you can grab your original
jewel loom or a small wisdom warrior
those work best for this project i'll mix in my room here
and then you're also going to need so for learning the technique one of the reasons i switched to just a plain
bracelet was um i found it easier to learn the technique using edo's
so the this bracelet you would make with a lebanos so the design that just shared
with you is a lebanos but we're going to use ato's tonight and i'm going to use
two that jules had that's in the jewel looms shop so an aqua
and then this pink color i couldn't find the bottle for that one
so you're going to first grab your wildfire
you'll also need it's helpful to have pliers around your jewel loom needles um
also looks like joan was able to join in um also
your wildfire burner um some form of wave measuring
and some hypo cement as some of the things you'll need so pre and then um
hemp and wildfire so where did i put my oh here's my hemp
sorry my brain is moving slowly so i chose this really pretty turquoise hemp but
jules has all kinds of colors um available
in uh in the jewelloom.com shop all of everything that you see minus the
tools uh are available so seed beads hemp
wildfire um the wisdom warrior and the original
jewel loom are all available in the shop so we're gonna start with our wildfire and
for the simple bracelet um it's only going to be five beads wide so
we need to put out six we need a warp six but we're combining
the wildfire and the hemp so we're gonna do four wildfire in the middle and then
we're gonna come back and do the hemp
so get out your wildfire or beat your other beading threads
and if you're on the original you know put make sure i don't have mine with me but make sure
you put your bar in gently um and prep that
and you're gonna with the edo's i found having one space in between each warp
so we'll at like have a space so you're going to want to knot it off
and i found it helpful to be in the center for this
just with putting the hemp on the outside um allows it um to be closer to the knob
when we put it on so just lay it somewhere towards the middle
you muted yourself there trish i did sorry about that the name of what sweetheart i'm sorry
is it a ridge [Laughter] my brain is not functioning tonight i uh just type wildfire for no apparent
reason guys i was trying to do a post of the wildfire so just ignore that
i'm trying here i'm not a pro like joan yeah joan's having computer trouble so
that's why trish is trying her best to fill in and that's okay paula that you're late
so just grab either your original or your small wisdom warrior and we just started warping
thank you groove sandy thank you blame it on the chemo right
hey you're doing great i like on
the wisdom warriors i like to go around the knob twice to help hold the tension
the tension's a little more difficult on here and then i just hold the tension as i'm
going all the way up and then i liked remember i'm said we're skipping
a groove here and put your finger here
to kind of hold that tension wrap it twice
skip a groove and then hold that tension
skip a groove and wrap twice so we have three so we need one
more you wrap twice on every
um work yeah on the wisdom warrior on the list with
wildfire gotcha okay that's a good tip too
oh freezing up on us there
is amber frozen for anyone else or is it just me
i'm not sure what's going on she was having a storm there
that may be what's going on
yeah you're frozen amber okay let's see what i can do here
in the meantime it looks like she just went out so i'll tell you what we're gonna do guys
um i have the kit here or not the kit but the workshop
yeah she lost power so she'll she'll work on getting back with us and in the meantime i'll show you the kit
uh from this month that i keep calling it a kit it's a workshop it's an online workshop that jules offers
a monthly subscription you can either um do it month-to-month or you can sign up
for an extended period of time and um it's a little less money so you can
get that it's a lot of fun i'm just going to turn my camera around here guys am i okay
you can see me song and dance stretch hello my baby hello my dog
nope we're gonna look at the kit thank goodness i had this hair right okay so i'm gonna flip the camera around guys
and we're gonna check this out okay just give me a second i won't make you seasick here
okay so this is this month's kit and of course
we have our tea and our biscoff right out of the gate that's always a
nice treat to get with each kid we've got an entire 20-yard spool of
wildfire this time which is super generous of jewels um
that is you know a super generous gift to us in our kit this is black
so that'll work well we have this piece of leather with a
slider on it and if you didn't know we're going to be making a hat band this month with a
special pattern that she had designed so
and i want to let you guys know too i'm going to be putting my patterns up on my shop very soon
that i am creating so i will let you all know when that happens and then we have a larger piece of leather and this is
going to be to finish the ends of it so we're gonna use that for that
technique and then our seed beads oh it looks like we've got her
i'll just finish up showing you this until we're 100 sure she's back we've
got lots of seed beads this time guys look at that so we've got opaque terracotta
and that's a really pretty color very earthy and deserty
i still can't see your name whoever said i think i joined stream yard unfortunately this is an awesome color
this is the opaque turquoise this is one of my favorites always touhous always high quality
this one that you might have used somehow but don't tell anybody for the spring for this bracelet
oh you can really see that gut there that looks awesome honey yeah
sorry i was just hopping on to yeah gold lined crystals what that's called
and that is super gorgeous you can see how pretty that one is on the for the loops
and we have this one is opaque lustered light beige really really
awesome uh we miss you too nicole yes
transparent rainbow and this is a teal color i like that one yeah
and our last one is just a big jet chat so
nice very better sorry yeah i can hear you honey yep you sound good oh john said that they can
barely hear me okay okay but you can hear me so yep i can hear
you uh hopefully the girls can hear you better now let us know guys
we want to pick up where we left off there yeah those stories can you hear now
is that louder you sound good jones says can hear now
okay welcome back amber nicole says oh thanks hopefully the storm is right over us now
so hopefully you won't lose me again but if you do okay we'll see
um someone asked if um oh if it was yes it is for with wildfire
i know i saw that question in there four with wildfire and two with hemp so
okay i've warped the four and i felt the tension while i tried to get back online
um very good job i know i did everything one-handed i i even did a song and a
dance per recommendation so nice you missed it oh man
we'll have to do another karaoke so i find i put my finger here
to try and hold the tension so i can have multiple hands going at
once yes it takes talent and it's hard to make sure this gets on
camera here so i i use my i use my belly
my goddess bella and you just find ways to kind of hold that tension
so i put my finger down here and up here since without the rod like on the
original you um you have to hold the tension on this one
and that makes a little more difficult yeah and it makes it hard to demonstrate
it demonstrate i know because
it's hard to hold it in front of the camera and put it in a position you can tie it off
but we get her done don't we we do we do there we go so we're tied off on that
so you went the four of the wildfire and then we're gonna use this nice bright one
here and you just need two of the hemp so you're gonna take the hemp same thing
knot it off on the top right over top of the wildfire
and the same thing you're just going to skip one now i have the thicker
which i found works a little bit better with the sliding knot you can certainly do the thinner
um i have done that i did it uh the rainbow one that tulum has
um and it works but it doesn't hold as tightly as the thicker hem is what i
have found but completely up to you um and same thing you want to skip a
groove and wrap it around twice on the bottom
just because you'll need like sometimes need a little extra for finishing off
with the sliding knot so that's the purpose of that one okay that makes sense
and skip and same thing wrap around twice and then
this one doesn't hold the tension as well but it's that's okay
cut it and you will need extra of this so don't
yeah put it to the side but be prepared to bring it back so we can
once again slide it under and tie it off and as you can see i have
my finger on the knob and on the top of the grooves
20:05
in order to try and hold the tension but the hemp moves a little bit more
than the wildfire because it sits on top so and that's okay
because the beads will spread it out a little and and i try to always double knot
everything yeah me too it seems to work well
should i give myself a teeny bit more but well i can you can always grab your pliers
and reach through for sure and as you can see because
of the way we're warping the hem it did move over on on me when i tied that knot but
just slide it out because we're spreading it wide like that that happens but that's why i said
to do it almost as close to the middle as possible
because it's a little awkward with the hem but it it allows you to do the slide
not later on all right so got that and you're gonna need
about a wingspan and a half of wildfire
and somebody in the group was asking jules doesn't sell the tools at this
time but [Music] uh someone was asking
both trish and i used the xuron um
thread cutters and they're amazing yes they are and we also use our zapper
as well but yeah i really like the cord cutters they're handy yes
yes i use them more often for like moments like that and then the zapper
when i'm finishing a project but yeah and then
we need a jewel loom needle
so we found these handy-dandy containers at hobby lobby
and they fit the jewelry needles and where were they were they just in like the sewing no no yes they were yes
were they in the sewing notions okay yes that is where we found them so
i don't know if you saw what i did but i took my pliers and i just flatten
uh the end of my wildfire and it makes it just a little easier to
slide your thread onto your needle
alright so for the slide bracelet you need make sure that you
have stuff to tie it off with so i start especially
um on the the wisdom warrior i start further down because there's less extra on the back whereas
the original there's more extra on the back um and you don't have to travel down as
far hit my light there and you're gonna start in the middle
whoa what a novel idea so that's um
why i did an uneven number because we're going to start with one bead
so you're going to take your wildfire and tie off
on them the middle well it'd be the third third second wildfire in or third
string in if you count the hemp very interesting
yes so we're starting in the middle grab
quickly so hopefully it's pretty hidden here right
i don't know maybe so then you can start with either color i'm
gonna just alternate between the two colors um or you can as i did with this demo
you can just completely solid to make it simple or you could
jump all in into the seed bead pattern like i did on the first one
up to you but i'm going to start with pink and just like any other time
we're going to start underneath so you're going to have to slide in between the two wildfires there
so that you're going to end up in that middle space
so remember when you warp you're always going to warp one more than you're beating so i wanted five so
i could have that uneven number right in the middle and then
see how close i can get in there so see how we have the one
sitting there you're gonna come up now on the other side
so one two and then come up through the middle of that one
as you can see now i'm getting ready to just go over this
one so we are only warping around that those two middle
wildfire threads otherwise it's the same technique underneath
all right can everybody see that so the next one
we're gonna pick up three so we're doing our odd
what's gonna happen though oops you can have the three on there
you're gonna come up between your hemp and your wildfire though so
you wrap around that wildfire piece
the joys of starting a bracelet is always the same
a little messy to start yeah
this piece out of there or not that there is it
there we go that piece so it'll look odd because you're coming out here on the edge
you see that okay there we go yes so see i'm kind of out here now
around that but i have my three beads and i'm gonna go
down in here so back down through that same one
i'd started with so the between the first and second wildfires
so that i can go underneath just like we would normally warp
so that what that does is wraps the wildfire around there to secure the beads in to lock the beads in
vicky just got here and what the are we doing there's all kinds of
symbols didn't come didn't come through but i can guess oh she is
she's double hockey stick there oh okay
uh yes hi vicky so we're learning how you'll have to i'll show again at the
end how to do this but we're working on a tapered end tonight
and a slide knot so i showed the first row and now i'm
showing the second row so we start beating right in the middle
of our loom and just like we did over here i'm gonna come up between the wildfire
and the hemp to lock it in and i keep getting caught on everything
of course that's how it goes huh yes
so now it's laying see how it'll lock lock in that wildfire and the beads and
make sure you go through the top of all of those beads and you don't have to worry about now
going down in between anything we're going to go right around the hem this next time
so we went from one down to one to three and then we're going to five yep
okay so just that way what that does is help
helps keep it centered see how it keeps it centered there
so next one will be five uh vicky yes um have you ever made a
slit in the middle of the end for a button
no but that's one of the techniques i want to work on yeah that sounds like that would be cool
yeah so now we're gonna still stick with this one collar and pick up five
now i'm using edo's because it's easier to learn this technique and at the end
we're going to go through the top one several times and now i'm just going around the end so
i don't need to go weaving in between any of the the warps or the
waves the wefts thank you the wefts
you're welcome the word doesn't always come to me all the time
now yes you right now see wildfire there but when we pull in the
hemp at the end it will cover over that so no worries about that right now
and then just the same as we normally weave you go through
over the top so go under and then around and over make sure you catch all
the beads so you don't lose any and then there's our first end
very cool and the rest of the bracelet uh
you just do normal uh until
you get to the other end so
do one more row of pink and then i'll do two blue two pink two blue two pink
so underneath and then same on the top
and i'm going to show you the the other part again so no worries and then back through
i'll do one more row for our new friends or maybe i'll do two rows
so we get the even count here a facebook user you say hi amber sorry i'm late um i'm not sure
who is uh late if you could just let us know your name or if you want to go ahead and give streamer
permission not position permission uh and that way then we can
see your name if not just let us know who we're talking to
vicky says i have done it or probably by the seat of my pants got it done but oh my hopefully you'll
find the proper way to do it oh that's suzanne brown hi suzanne oh
how are you honey so glad to see you
yeah v uh vicki if you have a video or anything of how you learn to do that i mean we can certainly
learn from each other for sure um or have it written up or something
that would be awesome it would probably be similar i don't know if you guys remember who has seen
the buttonhole earrings that is just what joan just said
she said hi vicky this is joan remember those earrings these ladies made but the hole in the center i think that is how
you make a hole for the button i would think that would probably work
yeah but amber will explore it she's really good at stuff like this
that's okay suzanne so any questions on the regular beating
because i'll go back and show how to end it and it would just be the opposite direction
of how we started but the same i same ideas so just make sure we had some new people
that they're following along here for sure
how are we doing on time it looks like we are at 7 31 so we have some time we
already did the kit so yeah didn't lose much with our power outage
no so as you can see i had worked this up um because i just
wanted to make sure i spent time on finishing it and everything but yes for sure
um so same thing this one started up here
and for a seven inch wrist before i start the next
five and a half um and then it should end
close to six um and so that gives me about an inch of extra space to do the sliding knot
and stuff so uh so you need about a half inch to do this last little bit
give or take but slightly less than a half inch um so when you're figuring out your
measurements uh don't forget to think of that
yeah i know [Laughter] i was so fast
and what did they always say on those cooking shows and through the magic of television
[Music] yes and they bring out a finished pie or something yes
oh yes so now we're gonna finish off so just like the top i'm gonna do two
rows of pink and then we'll taper in so i'm gonna pick up my five so you'll
see this repeated just the basic weaving of beads
and then we so that goes underneath and now for the new people make sure that you
look through the cracks and see your needle in between to know that you're holding on to all those
beads um as you can see i added some extra
thread on here i'd run out get that out of the way
so yes enough i know i hit my my glass of water though
and then you just pull it through and then again pick up five so you can change this up i found to do
the taper you can like this one i had done an even count so it does two
four six eight and then it ends out at ten
okay um so you can do it even so it's just
it's just doubling it like that that makes sense or skip counting up
five i'm gonna post that pattern again here guys because amber was nice enough to
create a bead pattern for us
yes this is the bead pattern that's free for you guys
so put five so it went underneath and now i'm going through the top making
sure i see my needle and pull it tight and now the fun begins again so
so just like this side we're gonna go in underneath the hemp now since we're done
our row of five and we're gonna do our row of three um
you wrap it kind of around the hemp here you can tie it off because you kind of need it to be secure
there so you can do a little tie off here
helps with the going back out you have to be a super great knot just a
little knot and you're going to go in between these
here after you tie it off there it allows you to be able to do that without losing your position
we're going to pick up three of the
pink slide them down just like we do with regular weaving
cynthia says on the word chart what does 92 in parentheses mean
go ahead go ahead go ahead um i believe that's the number of beads
of that specific one that's the number that what are actually in that pattern
so i'm underneath and i'm putting a three in the middle
like that and coming up between the hemp and wildfire on the other side
holding my beads in place and then going back through
on the top making sure i see my needle so all the beads are this do this to
and now we will pick up our one and do the same thing
so it's gonna wrap around locking those top seed beads in
and you're going to come up get your bead up there and put it in the
and then you're gonna come up through right here in between
the two wildfires oop i dropped my needle
nancy welcome i'm glad you've been here uh watching with us we appreciate you
being here and that'll help lock the bead in goes
and then go back underneath
and just weave back through the beads so i kind of went i'm underneath
and i'm just weaving back but make sure you don't wrap around these warps
i'm doing this so i can tie my knot a little further in
just weaving back so just make sure where you're
going through that you're catching the right uh wildfire or hemp
that you don't leave your wildfire hanging out there too much
suzanne is asking i believe that's suzanne how you are doing amber i am hanging in there tired today i have
treatment number four tomorrow so i've uh yeah so
three more to go including tomorrow so yeah so we're we're there we're getting
there or at the halfway point that's good so i will be over halfway after tomorrow
yeah yeah so i went through these and then i poked down
through the bottom so i can tie my knot down here
so i just catch the thread
one of the warps so i can wrap my thread around it
and pull in and do that twice
there we go and i will cut that off and i'll go back later and burn it down
all right so you're gonna need that but now we're gonna take it off the warp now
make sure you need all of your off the warp off the loom need all of your warps
to tie off so you don't lose any of your seed beads so amber excuse me amber yeah brittany
would like to know can you use any size seed beads for this design
uh you could if you so it's 11 0's if you did 15 0's the bracelet would be
smaller uh you do tens eight sixes that way
it'll make it much wider if that makes sense you could do that it's a a lot of a lot
of beads but yes you can definitely switch it up but the pattern was done for lebanos
[Music] so my mic slip in there
see if that'll hold it all right so now we're going to take it off the
loom and remember i said you want to try and save as much
of the hemp and stuff you can you have enough of the wildfire but the hemp
if you cut it make sure you cut like back here so you have enough
to uh do the sliding knot and everything so i'll cut it way back here
and then you gotta cut the wildfire off you don't have to worry about that being
super long as long as you have enough to tie it off that's the most important with that one there
i'll go back and clean that up later
so the first thing that you want to do
is tie off all of your warps
trying to get some of the snot out let's see
sometimes if you take a needle in the middle of it it'll come out easier yeah it's just scraps
that are stuck to it gotcha but yeah
very true i've done that before yeah so
kind of move the hemp out of the way at the moment okay and
you should have on this side i have five because that's where i started and tied off
and then on this side i have four to tie off so you just want to go through
like you would any you know jewelum project and tie off your warps
and remember just like any other project do not pull too tight that you
cause it to warp that your warps warp
but tight enough that it holds so i've got one knot
and then with that extra i'm just gonna double the one side and tie them all
together so one side there's two and the other one there's one once again we're not we're not doing the
hemp yet we're just tying these off
and that'll help hold your warps and stuff together okay vicky says i just got my magnifying
visor so now i can use the 15 o's boy is
[Laughter] oh my goodness i have a big magnifier to do it too vicky
so you want to trim them up if you have this is the time that you can use your burner
i like to burn them down so they kind of
disappear yes but also leave a little bit at the end of them
so they'll not you know don't slip that's why i left some okay
but i'm also gonna for extra protection i'm gonna put on uh
the uh the gs hypo thank you you're welcome
honey we gotta do that for each other what our brains are
i know so you can kind of push them what's left of it to the back
and put some hypo cement on there a little technique
i think it was from wyatt i learned just warm it up you don't want to squeeze your hypo cement because once it
comes it comes keeps pouring out i always keep a tissue
or a napkin or something oh yeah nearby because you just never quite know what
you're going to get there i know and it helps to dab it off to put the
lid back on yes yes so we got some there and just you don't
need a lot of this stuff just just a dab
you might be like why is she doing that right now well we're going to go work on the other end and that'll allow it to uh
you don't want to do what i just did touching it all the time glue your fingers together i do that all
the time do as i say obviously yes i do that's why i wish her growing
yep vicky says never squeeze the glue is is
why it's main rule yes for sure just warming it up causes it to flow out
so we got this long one here and then it's amazing how all we have to
say is one name we don't even have to say his last name and everybody knows who he is
yes he's been around that long so once again like the other side yeah
why it's been around forever um just hold the hem to the side
and you're gonna take two and two and tie them off on this side since we
wove our other one back through and you could weave the other one back through too
if you want um either or works
suzanne says mean glue don't get along
he's the main man vicky says absolutely yes he certainly is
we are using a beadalon product tonight the wildfire oh yeah and the gs hype so
yeah shout out to our beatle on friends out there for sure
all right didn't pull that knot down far enough but oh
neo and nancy lars hearts get in the um uh the glue pin back into the top oh my
goodness that's what i need my magnifying forward it's hard to do it live
not have my magnifier i have to figure out a way to get it over here so i can and i just keep dabbing mine on
the tissue and put trying to put it in and then it gets more on it then i dab it on the tissue
yup it's worth it though it works well
yes love love my hypo cement so
but if you leave a little extra kind of
when you burn it it kind of leaves this little little bump that you can kind of push
down too this is some other and the stuff i wove
and she says me too so make sure you don't do anything with
your hemp yet you still need that
and my hypocement and one end's done
[Music] yeah i could i can't do my dance again
there you go in between i said hello my baby hello hello my
darling nice looks like the storm has left us this
quality i'm sure yeah um it's dark here but
we had some rain but that was about it so far oh come on so close
and the glue is pouring out now sometimes i just wipe it back on my project too like here's a little extra
and vicky says candy squares by b7000 has the tiny tip too just tried it we'll
report how well it works yes i've seen her use that yeah let us know she does
use that a lot all right so here comes the next step so you're gonna
come and try and hide your wildfire tips
i'm going to do one knot here and you're going to come back and knot it again
but this helps hold it in place here
because you're kind of wrapping the hemp around the the beads
make sure any extra little wildfire gets hidden to the back or to the side
and then you're going to take and this is why it worked better with the 8 0s because we're going to go back
through all of these and it was a little tight with the 11 0's
you could break out your regular seed bead needle too if need be yes yes i did say need be i'm saying need be
three times a pair um but yeah that would certainly come like maybe maybe
anyway if you're not up for um humor you're in the wrong place
right so just like we did so i came through the top on that side i'm going through
the bottom on this side and i'm taking all of it hemp and everything so
i went through the the row five now i'm going through the row of eleven
and that's what's going to bring the hemp up next to the beads
and now i'm going to go through so alternate the sides
so you're not just pulling your thread in and out you need it to catch on to the hem in
order for it to cinch it in bring it closer
just a time check it looks like we have about eight more minutes okay
we can always go over if need be and there i am again
and then when you go i'm going through the top one twice right now
and then i'm gonna slide through here
blurry there you go um and i'm going to wrap it around the
making sure i'm holding everything out of the way so i went down next to the one hole bead
and i'm coming up over the back and back through the other side
where the i've been weaving catching on that side there
of the one hole bead and then pull it in there and that hole
pulls in the hem and holds it up there with the knot and then i cannot
so virtually we're weaving the hemp into the project to end tapering it with the hemp and the
project if that's well that'll give a nice finished end then yes
and then you just just weave on back
go back through the three this is another reason to do eight o's makes it a little easier
to do this part i did try to use the warps to tie off on
the hemp on this one but it was kind of messy so this made it a little more
secure and a little less messy so then just the same i went through two
and poking out the bottom so i can tie it off
and i'm gonna bring this in as well and tie this off
and then you would do the same thing on the other side i'm running out of time for the slide
ah gotta love it when you get a knot in your project
and it's always when you're trying to hurry too yes always i will figure that out later
and fix that because i gotta get over here so once again
push your little pieces to the back tie one knot
and i'm going to come back and weave it i can do that and show you the slide
knot here so for the slide knot you're gonna take
i don't know what happened to my project here get all my strings out of the way
there we go you want to take each end of your hemp
they'll be your stoppers to your slide knot
so as you can see i have a little bit more to work with on one end than the other so that's why you have to be
careful you have enough to work with because you want it to be able to slide
so this one i use the thinner hemp whereas the other one i was demoing has a thicker hemp
so i'm going to grab some extra hemp
and what you do is you lay all of your hemp
next to each other okay the dots are what's going to stop your
slide knot so one side's going to be a little a little off there but i'll go back and
trim it and tie new knots but you want to make sure that they stay
on the outside of your slide knot you take a new piece of hemp
and you're going to wrap it around all four of your hemp pieces
so almost like when you wrap wire you know just kind of consecutively
and around how tightly are you wrapping that not yet i i'm doing it loose because i'm
going to have to pass uh both pieces of hemp
okay through in order to create the knot so i do it big first and then i cinch it
after we pass everything through so after you get like four or five loops
okay make sure your hemp is on either side
you're gonna take one piece cross it over
all of those loops and then pass it back through
see this is why you need the big space in there yeah
so i crossed it over and passed it back through
and now i'm going to take the other side and do the same thing
cross it over it's hard to demo it and hold it i asked for sure
same thing cross it over and then so you want to make sure if it's a long
piece we can always trim it later so don't worry about it being long
and always trim it later and pass it back through and then you take your time and pulling it so you can
keep making it look pretty
make sure your knots are on the right side
it takes a little bit to cinch it down
you just swiggle around with it until you get all the loops cinched down
that's why it's helpful to put not some of them off first then you know what you're working with
yeah that would make sense yes
um nicole says thank you emeritus have a great weekend everyone um sandy says i've only done adjustables
with macrame knots what is this not called a barrel knot i think maybe
i think so too well the barrel knot i know you have to wrap
towards you wrap in like when you're putting the wraps on that you wrap toward your hand
and then put the strands through
see the thicker ones easier to cinch that's another reason to use the thicker hand
is it is it easier okay sorry this is
all right looks amazing amber jules
she's doing a good job that's for sure there we go hey sometimes you have to work with
stuff let's get out of it when you do lives it's not as quick
never never as quick never never never

awesome well to finish it off so you can see i tightened it up there
let's see if i can get it to focus on that how's that that looks good
um and now i'm going to trim it up
and then um i burn it down a little hemp is a little strong in the burning
[Laughter] department and i add some
hypo cement there vicky has our vicky comment for the week
when i end up with that complicated of a situation i toss it for the cats to play fetch
[Laughter] so yeah so just take these little
ends and hypo cement them down and then as you can see this is with
thicker hemp so it it works a little better and then it looks great slides
with your very awesome nuts so i know that was a lot of information that's why i wanted
to do the simple bracelet but you can see how i just glued it down and burn it off a little there
to hold that knot yeah awesome project amber thank you so much
