okay so i wanted to give you a little
here she is right here she's about 12
just about three inches wide
bead on her on the top and then the
nice base i do try to work on a surface
on something that doesn't
skid so like a non-skid surface and if
a bead mat or a big piece of um
oh you know like felt or contact paper
or something like that that would help
the loom from sliding around if that is
something that you needed help with
but to warp the loom okay i just want to
make sure here's our top right here okay
i'm only referring to it as the top just
lends itself to say hey this is the top
reality it wouldn't matter because
the bottom could be the top and the top
could be the bottom um i'm just working
with it in this position so i will be
now my body is this way okay so my my
and this is what i do whether i'm using
wildfire or another beading thread or
and then i'm just going to
beginnings of a knot there
and i'm going to put that onto the back
take the other end and so i've made two
so awesome it's very very strong but
i'll give it a third for giggles okay
like just say i'm gonna do a um let me
bring one in hold on real quick don't go
say i'm gonna do a seed bead pattern
like i have right here with the chevron
kali dale over at off the beaded path
such an awesome experience
so say i was gonna do this on on the
loom i would just center my warps in the
middle there you don't have to go to the
just if you're only going to you know do
something like this what is this like 11
yeah i think there's 11 across just make
your warps down the middle that will
really help a lot okay so let me show
you what i'm talking about
so i'm going to grab the wildfire and by
the way i am working on the spool
okay i haven't cut a piece
work with the wildfire you kind of see
how i'm just i want to get a nice grip
the thread right lay the wildfire down
and then i'm going to this is how i do
it with my hands right so i'm just
pulling i want to make sure it's really
and then i'm going to come all the way
down here i'm going to line it up as
best as i can i just kind of do like an
by eyesight let's see so for the most
part i'm pretty much following the sword
um so i'm going to let that lay down i'm
not going to worry about whether or not
and then i really want to make sure that
this is in the in the shot so i'm going
okay and now you see where my hand is in
fact i want to come up a little bit
a little bit higher here okay
so you see where the um the bottom is
right here right the bottom
button and what i'm going to do is i
wrap around once and i wrap around twice
and so i do that because it will really
string the wildfire really nice and
tight and it's so important when you're
doing beading that your warp is always
really nice and tight now i'm not going
because i think i'll set myself up to do
i'm going to let that fall in there now
if i find that oopsie i just let it go
no worries though because i wrapped
around twice on that bottom button i
think i'm good to go let's see
good job there okay and then i'm gonna
come back around now i only do that on
the first one on the first warp it
really just kind of helps
keep that first warp if you're gonna
lose a warp typically it's the first one
because that's where our hand gets like
we're like trying to keep this you know
keep the tension and then something
happens and listen it's not a deal
breaker if you were to come back over
here and go around twice i don't want
you to get in the habit though of like
wasting any product that's not necessary
i think if you just do it the first time
it'll be easy peasy so then i can if i
have to readjust my hand you see how i
pointer finger over the grooves and then
i readjusted my hand my right hand
okay and i got this little guy in here
okay get him out of the way
and yeah we're just gonna lay that down
okay and then i'm gonna come back around
and i'm holding the thread
and again whether you were using
wildfire or another beading material
you know this is what you would do i
i got a little bit of a glare here am i
i think i am so how many do i have
three four so i have five warps and i
have four um little alley ways for me to
put some beads in and you know i think
i'll just do something small i think
i'll just start on something thin like
so when i end i can do the same thing if
i want right just kind of go around it
one a couple more times and this is
something that we do with the original
and of course i'm over here with nothing
to cut with let's see if these work
oh there thank you thank you bead gods
so i'm going to just do that again
and then the goal here is to get to a
place where we we cannot it you know we
i'm not going to tell you there's a
right or wrong way it's the way that
so let me see for giggles i'm going to
come up on it from the back side
let me see if i can't get back in here
i'm just trying to make knots
you know i'm trying to secure
trying to secure it so that i don't lose
um i use the flat nose pliers a lot kind
oh this should be good right oh i feel
it now awesome that really worked so now
i feel comfortable where i could just
and i could make another knot
perfect and then i pulled down i'm
always pulling down so that you know i'm
now listen you know learning how to do
time and you shouldn't feel discouraged
if it doesn't work the first round like
that is so normal you it's a whole
different thing that you're learning
you're learning the tension you're
learning how your hands relate to the
loom which also relate to the beading
thread it's a whole thing right it's
you know it's almost like when you're
making a recipe you know you you have
unseen knowledge of how you can just do
a pinch of salt right and what is that
pinch well you know what it is right and
it's perfect so it's kind of like that
where you're just learning
um the whole tension and how to hold
everything how to work with your loom
how to work with the spool of wildfire
if you want you could always take
fishing line you know get a spool of
fishing line that's not as you know
maybe expensive as the wildfire or
so that you don't waste and just play
and um you know get to get to know your
loom and and your warps and you'll be
seed bead bracelets and and many many
other things so i hope this helped you
again always make sure to be on a
non-skid surface um that contact paper
uh hopefully i'm referring to that
correctly it's the stuff we put in our
cupboards in our doors right and so
things won't slide around but um yeah
just do that and i think you'll you'll
so i hope this helped okay have a a
