i did a couple tick tocks before i came on you did i feel good i was like
i was doing i don't know how you do it you must teach me some of your dance moves that's i know i don't know where i
get them from the right places i feel like yeah
i got mama guys some hips [Laughter] i love it i need help shaking mine
yeah so i love it i'm so glad um that we can reconnect and
do a thing together jules it's it's always a pleasure to have you over on the silverstone channel and um we have a
baby together i know i know and you know visitation time and visitation time co-parenting
i feel like we always take it like to a weird place but it's that i enjoy being in i do
[Laughter] it's okay it's all welcomed um because
that's what silver silk's about we're inclusive we're exciting a little weird and just a lot of fun and we like to do
beading and we definitely like to do beading yes absolutely anytime we get to connect and
do some beading so we have got here uh the product that virtually like
you had a brainchild for and i had a product and we made it happen and you invented this beautiful
compact and rather adorable little one that is perfect for silver silk
it's really um i have it like on my my mantel behind me i don't think you can
really see it but where my looms are and so it's on a on a stand
and um it has been like this really interesting
process because it burped last year out of just was it last 20 i don't even know the
years anymore so sometime in this lifetime within the last whatever months 18
months you know i remember sitting here and i just by accident had the fiber loom the original fiber
limb that i was working with and um and somehow the silver silk like
went into the grooves and and it didn't move and i thought oh my gosh you have to totally be kidding
me and i do believe if i'm not mistaken this was like the first bracelet and so um
from there you know we had a lot of fun with that it was fun to give the fiber loom a different you know material to
play with and then the holidays and everything and we were both kind of doing our own thing
and then when you said hey let's let's do another collab together i was like well
i have like you know mama needs to have a baby
you know that's what i was feeling i was like i really want to surprise him and um and do something and so you know i
drew out some things and and then we we birth this
loom and really every time i look at it it's like i just get closer to it and i know this
is going to sound really weird but i know you understand because you're a product person too um
it's like just this i don't know it's a really cool relationship that i've blossomed into with this loom
on like different levels it's just it's a very interesting
connection and i love it and i was telling um robert today even about how like it's
part of the family like it's part of the family because i didn't know
like where people how they were going to feel and and you know it's taken a couple of
months to really grasp that and and it's here to stay like people love it
they're using it and um i get so thrilled every time an order comes in and god bless you thank you i've
actually made an incr an email segment just for silver silk buyers so that they
know when you and i are on or we're getting ready to have another baby or or whatever it is that we might be
doing so i've made an exclusive like little collection of these folks so that
they know what's happening first um in the silver silk jewel bloom family so
anyway they might be getting an email one day saying that they might be getting an email one day
saying that we're expecting i know you never know you never know with us that's true you
never know i would say though um you did a lot of the heavy lifting as far as concepting and um
really making this product blossom because my only wish was really to have a product that was evergreen
and something that everyone can use all the time right and not make it more of a seasonal
or a a one-off piece this little baby here is really true to
everything that it does and it's here to stay and it's so highly functional with the different grooves and settings that
you have on it and accommodates um not only the perlesque and the capture chain but it could do many
more chains just depending on how you want to knit it um i know that danielle wix did one with
pipe chain not too long ago mine just goes it blows me really like
it was an excellent demonstration and i um i i just think everybody should watch
that because it really really was a great way to show an alternative way to use the loom you know
because you've got the weaving but you can use it as a tying station you can use it for macrame
you know so it's very versatile and it's totally you you know when when the solid piece came together like
it did i mean every time i look at it it's you like it's so um
it's strong and it's just got this really cool energy and
i don't know i love it i mean it's really become precious to me it really has and so i'm here it's one of my most
coveted tools and it's also just a nice little like
piece of um functional decor almost that i get to get it out and display and take down
really nice use and make something with it and it i think it kind of builds on that energy as we
continue to create on it too so it kind of becomes a more like
i don't know peace that like it just gives you more memories and gives you more experiences and stuff so
i appreciate that about this too yeah and i think that you know just um trisha and amber have created some
projects on it as well and they just blow me away like um trisha just did a panda and a
bracelet and um joan and i have been behind the scenes kind of sharing a little bit of
what you knows in our minds of what we want to um birth so it's really um
it's just really fun you know when you look at the wisdom warriors and the jewelry the original jewel looms and now
the silver silk it's it's just a beautiful thing so i'm super excited about it awesome so
anyways are tuning in can we do a quick recap of and i think our friends uh our joan has been posting links anyway but
um kind of where they can find you your website and social media real quick okay
so um jewel loom.com is the is the shop okay so you can go
over there if you're not signed up for the newsletter do that because you'll get into the um
uh the area where the silver silk lives okay so it's in an exclusive area
and um there's a 15 off coupon so if you want to buy beads um and and what have
you you can do that the silver silk bloom is priced at 35.99 and that's solid like i put it at a good price
and wood is what wood is right now yeah absolutely
i don't think that's that's i think that's perfect yeah and um all the other social media
places um are under the brand so under jewel loom you can also the jewel loom school which i'm going to
start feeding joan probably needs to remind me of this we need to
under how to use i need to get this silver silk up there because we have enough content now i think we've just
kind of been and now we need to do the same because i have the silver silk education tab
that's on mine yeah and yeah recently i've been um as i've told you kind of behind the scenes i've been auditing my
inventory and also trying to figure out the best way to explain my inventory yes
i'm setting up these uh pillar pages that have like what is capture chain it's all of these things what is a jewel
loom it is all these things but i i have the framework set up i haven't filled in all
of the content yet so yeah your point is something that i need to get done as well as rebuild these videos
together totally i think for both of us it's going to be hugely helpful and so that's um jewel
loomschool.com and you can always just put my name into the googles and all the things will pop up julianna
avalar but um yeah and then we both have our youtube channels that we've been nurturing with content and things with
the silver silk so the things that tricia and amber have done are um on the jewel loom
uh youtube channel and i'm not sure that if we have shared them to yours i kind of leave that to
um you know whatever it all works
for sure so well what are we making today
well i you know i got these gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous oh my god i can't even
so i got these there's like four different sh or five different shades of course i have a mile long piece of
wildfire caught in them but i have these gorgeous six millimeter crystal uh fire polish
yeah so they have the a b on them they're just stunning and there's like five different six
millimeter polish colors on the site that vary in tone this is like you know
chandelier so i wanted to do something with that and then
normally i use one of my own buttons but i was like oh my gosh this big old hunker is like
totally right so that's uh i thought that was a bead dish
[Laughter] at first i was like okay she's setting up her beads
yeah i'm not sure exactly how this is gonna go i know it's gonna work and then i think i might have to do a little
modification somewhere but i don't care like i'm in and i want to do it so i'll figure it out but basically
i've taken the chain and you just want to fold it in half and then from the top of the button
whether you were using one you already had or one of the jewel loom wood buttons
you know feed that through okay and i think i gotta scooch my chair over
a little and then what i'm gonna do is i'm gonna snug that up let me come back here a
little bit okay there we go
all right and so from here i want to open this up i'm going to skip
two grooves so one two and then i'm going to take this side
of the chain and i've really got that button really snug okay up to um and i'm gonna
bring it up to the camera and i'm gonna skip two down here and i'm pulling really nice and tight
and then i'm gonna tuck those into the teeth at the bottom here so when i bring this up to the camera
you can see how that button is really tight up to um
up to the teeth here okay i've skipped two and that's gonna accommodate for uh four of the six
millimeter beads and then down here at the bottom i've nestled it in
and then use these teeth to hold it so that's what i love about
this you don't have to worry about you know the big question in the beginning was oh my gosh how are you ever going to tie
you know the chain but you're not right so the teeth really hold it in i'm just
going to give it another extra little tug here okay cool
then i'm going to bring it around now i've already got my needle and thread ready to go with some wildfire
originally i had posted that i would be using frost my box is not here yet
so i'm going with the gray but in all honesty i don't think it's a deal breaker
okay i'm just going to push this down a little more too so you do kind of want to check periodically to make sure that
the button and i'm doing go big or go home now listen y'all you do not have to go big
or go home you could use a button um that wasn't so incredibly large but i
just feel a little daring today so we'll see what happens so i'm going to bring my needle and thread in
and i'm going to get to the end of it here and i'm just going to do a
little a little knot i'm going to leave probably like a three inch tail because i want to weave that in later
okay and then i'm going to take the needle and thread now i want to give you some
idea of what's happening so if you look at this hand this is my right hand
this is my left hand the silver silk loom is in front of me
and this where i'm pointing this is my body okay so it is in front of me
so i have the needle and thread in my left hand and i'm going to pass it underneath
the warps and so these are our warps we're going to refer to these two pieces of chain the silver
silk chain as warps and then i'm gonna pick up the six millimeter fire polish
now based on skipping the two grooves i should be able if i remember correctly
oh did i decide to go look hold on i think i made a decision and then i yep i did it's okay though because guess what
this is what i'm gonna do hold that thought i actually wanted to do four
so i'm going to take this out this is what i love too like you could have this afterthought and
and and be all well but i got to make sure i'm centered so hold on because i want to get four of
okay i think i just saved the world all right so i'm going to let those fall down
and because i'm working with so much thread i just really want to take my time yeah that's right i wanted to get four
of these guys in there so this first row is always going to be a little weird
so you're just going to take your time and you want to get that needle so that
it's going through and i'm going to bring this up to the camera
okay so the needle for those um crystals too
yeah so um again there's no warps in between
to kind of like hold the beads so you just want to be really patient and slow
especially when you're working with this much wildfire we don't want to like get all
okay hold on one second because okay yeah
cool i almost had an emergency [Laughter] emergency diverted okay and then i'm
just going to take my thumb so i really want that first row to be up high
and i'm kind of working well i'm not kind of i'm totally working with two things that are like fading
into each other so i'm just going to come over here and kind of scooch
scooch that up okay awesome sauce all right so now i'm going to do the same thing again i'm going to come under
let me get back in the shot here under the warps and i'm guiding the wildfire
because i'm working with so much so again uh one
two so mb is behind me and he is snoring [Laughter]
so amazing yeah he hasn't been coming in lately and of course he must hear your voice so
um yeah he knows what's going on he knows we're we're up to some beating tonight he knows that he's a this is a
daddy yes okay so we're gonna go through
that hole again and then out and as we get further away from the top it's going to get easier
the rhythm's going to go a little bit faster we're just it's always like when you're first getting started
um you know those first couple of rows can just be you need to just kind of take your time
all right so there's yeah for sure it can go a little wonky but it starts to straighten itself out
like the third fourth one it really does it's quite you're in your groove at that point
quite interesting to watch okay and then now i'm going to come back under
you know at first i was just going to do a single row and then of course you know me right i'm like yeah that's no fun
and i chose um probably that route actually with mine but yeah i'm thinking
i need to grab a needle because i i'm using nylon cord
nylon thread and um oh that's beautiful i haven't even looked up yet
oh are you serious it's so funny um i'll do a solo layout on mine so you
guys can see what i'm working on let's do this so i'm using some oh yeah oh
beads from sam's speeds and this is about eight millimeters and oh
wow i had some nylon cord that's been sitting in my stash of
hoarding for years now i think i got it from jewel school actually a while ago oh my god how funny yeah and i was just
like you know i need to do something with it so and i'm doing it without a needle which is probably silly
um because it's harder than it needs to be but i'm using the same methodology as far as
stitching goes and i kind of like that rustic color
yeah it's really pretty with this and um we had a we had a friend here
brittany was asking um a pretty good question which i feel like i could it's a good segue into my uh
my spiel about silver silk oh and love brittany hi brittany hi britney
thanks for the great question so i'm using silver silk perlesque chain and jules is using silver silk capture chain
the difference between the two is that there is an extra layer of a rainbow
tinsel that runs inside of the chain so with capture chain which is what jules was using
it just is a ball core chain kind of like a fan pulley almost that
has a knitted wire sleeve that is capturing those uh the chain underneath
and with pearlesce chain um the first process is to
knit the rainbow tinsel um over the ball chain core and then knitted over that is the wire so that
you get this multi-layered effect um which is a little bit harder to see i think on this particular chain you can
kind of see a little bit of that rainbow flash that's happening um on the black it's very obvious that
it's there um this one's a rockstar chain which i was we were oohing and eyeing before this video yeah
and one of my favorite things ever um so that's that's the chain that we're
using for this particular loom which uh jules has kindly named the loom
so that's really cool that color is so gorgeous i do yeah i love my pearlescent chains
and i think as i've sort of been experimenting with them i just keep getting more and more ideas and better at it and
trying to like dial it in and you know making sure that that rainbow tinsel really does stand out so whenever i made
the rockstar chain i was like just elated i was so happy with that
color combo yeah it's really beautiful
so i didn't make it complex as my previous one because i've done another bracelet before
that kind of had the same beads on it and uh it's hard for me to escape a certain
color palette that i like because i'm not making it for someone else right i'm just making it for fun
so yeah this one is definitely mine yeah yeah i'm like i don't i don't want to follow rules right now i just want to
make something that makes me happy so yeah i love how trish did that um pico
stitching on the side of that one bracelet that she did that really was interesting i love that i don't yeah
it's really fun to see like what you can do as accents you know mm-hmm yeah and i think that versatility
is really open for this sort of a technique too and yeah what i love is that
the loom allows for me to kind of work as freely as i want to because everything's kind of just held in place
but i will say again to your credit that you had thought about like standardizing the millimeter
size beads that would fit between each of those grooves yeah and
i'm not sure if it was something that you sat down and thoroughly calculated or you just kind
of feel it out but like whatever you did that that calculation was just perfect
yeah i really you know it's just um i think when things come together real easily like this it just they were meant
to be and i think probably subconsciously i just kind of knew just because i've been weaving like my
entire life and so um i don't think it was extremely
calculated um but i'll take the credit
you got all the credit friends but i'll just say yes i did i calculate exactly with a calculator and a map and
a pencil and a paper yeah so asking jules are you taking the needle
through the silver silk both ways no i'm not taking it through the silver silk at all
so if you've watched me um you know and we've talked about this and
and really i think it's just a preference like i think you can you can weave like normal or you can go
through the silver silk and in all honesty in my eyes i can't really
tell you that i like one way or the other um i
yeah so see okay so right now let me see show you so see the needle let me come up to the camera whoa
oh yeah so the needle is on top of the warps and now i'm gonna pull through and
i'm so yeah i'm not going through the silver um silk you could
i mean it's not it's just really a preference of the look
i don't know um i agree i that's why today because last time i think i did that but
today i wanted to simplify the stitching first of all and second of all i wanted
to purposely use a slightly contrasting and thicker thread and make it known
that it is woven yes there you go it's got to be intentional right right
and the cool thing too is like you know you can always go back and add you know picostitch if you wanted to if
that was if it's not a look that you desire um so far
i feel like it's fine now i mean
let me now now you got me looking how you got me looking no i think it's
great [Laughter] but you could totally do whichever you want go through it go on top of it
i i guess part of me thinks too like if you do have a little bit of a boo-boo it's gonna be easier to undo the boo-boo
if if you've gone on top and under like normal weave that's a good idea yeah you
know think about that you get through that chain and then you've got to undo yourself you might be oh see look at
i can't talk and bead um i had five i did this the other night and that's
one of my tutorials i think bracelet is going to be so sparkly with all of those
different crystals but then i guess you you need kind of a
larger bracelet for that button i mean well we talked about that button for a second yeah
just talk about the button well yeah it's just crazy outrageous but it's so pretty
it's so stinking pretty yeah i um god i've had i have it in a teal i have
it in um a couple different colors but um i would love to find them and carry them
i was good that was my next question is if that's something that you carry because that looks like a very yeah um
it's from my personal stash but um i think i'm gonna have to figure out how to recreate it
wow i'm just stitching along here like i i
feel like my i'm gonna have a finished project first of all so that's yeah the most
instant gratification it's i've went through my day enough today to like yeah not be
wanting to go into meetings anytime soon yeah you know like when works just in
flux and everyone has ideas and then there's just like a list of things to do
you kind of get to the point to your day at the end of your day where you just want to like
make and finish something today is one of those days yeah no i love when we can actually get
on and just um take the time to to create and uh
you know and show this beautiful soulful dance of weaving it really is something that i have truly enjoyed
pretty much my whole entire life and um and so to be able to share that with
with everyone is just really really special yeah i love how these are sitting um
they look super cool they're they're sitting very oh yeah oh yeah come to mama whoa
very cool a little tight i'm going to adjust this just a hair but man that looks awesome
i love this i can't wait to wear it now oh yay yeah yeah
cannot wait uh-oh i'm feeling the same for this one this might be a little bit sparkly for me personally because i like
more with the rose gold yeah yeah yeah so i'm kind of thinking like
i gotta picture who i gotta give this to lately i've been giving a lot of my stuff away to my customers
and they're just so happy to have a tutorial original which is just thrilling for me
yeah for sure um but i think i just enjoy the process of
creating more so than just having something to wear that's right but i think we all kind of
feel that way too just yeah
yeah it's you know i've always um i love when when people say oh do you have a do
you have finished jewelry where's your finished jewelry [Laughter]
well that's just it too my friends um i don't think really quite understand the business and i don't
feel like they should because they're not in it as much as we are yeah so they to their knowledge i just make jewelry
right yes exactly i love that one yeah i know it's just it's so much more
than that because i'm manufacturing a problem yeah i know but it's like at the end of the day i
kind of just nod my head and i'm like uh-huh yeah yeah
that's cute let me uh let me switch over to you now here we go oh
that that is my diamond bracelet thank you thank you i the scale in proportion to the button
is just phenomenal you must have thought this out well i did like i said i did i yeah
i i do think that way but um you know obviously a simple role a
single role was not going to do anything so
not for not for the scale of that closure not for this big ol honking thing yeah
oh julie is on miss julie peterson says that button is killer yes
[Laughter] it's all about the button today yeah well
and that's what i love about this too you know sometimes um we just did a project for my work you
know i have a monthly workshop and we just did um a really beautiful rose button
and it was like you know i want to do something where if the bracelet turns on my hand
i want the back to be just as beautiful and so um we added like a ton of loops
to you know make it look really pretty in case it turned around on your wrist
and so that's what got me to thinking about this um was to just have it like no matter
how it was being worn on your wrist it would be pretty in other words you know like it would look good
absolutely and the silver silk really um adds to that for sure
there was a project that was posted to the silver silk silkies facebook group um that joan posted actually and yeah
bracelet that she made with tile beads i'm gonna say oh yeah yeah that was awesome oh man that was awesome
but you know what's funny is that chain because i think she used the black capture chain okay it fits into the
style and the same like pattern that the tile beads had yeah it looked
like mosaic in a way yeah perfectly fit very cool
i'm not sure how long this bracelet's supposed to be so i think i'm going to take it off the loom and measure because
i could keep doing this and turn it into a belt but that's not oh my gosh you could you could that's funny
teresa is asking how much thread do you start with i normally start with about two yards
and you know that's a lot but it's what i've beaded with and and do cut all the time um and how i
teach but that's how come i'm always saying just take it easy you know go slow
because after the first few rows then you know you've used some right
and so it gets a little bit easier to manage but i would start off with two yards and just take it slow
that's good good advice yeah
i need to go a few well maybe actually i think i just need to go any more more beads yeah yeah you're doing
one row so you can like get that project done really quick that's i'm holding my
[Laughter] you're doing an excellent job for the
tasks that you have been yeah that i've put upon myself
i could have been easy but no why why that's too boring that's way too
boring yeah let's see i gotta figure out how to re-attach this on here because i think i
had it oh okay i see where i'm going with it
are you um are you using a jewel loom needle or are using something different
um i have those and i should have but i just ended up using my fingers
because oh that's what i have at what moment oh so that stuff is thick enough it's just
like your hand oh i see now i'm not i'm down here looking at my piece oh that's yeah i feel like the holes for
this particular bead are big enough all right um that's a good what would i thought i
would need a dexterity exercise yeah like the eye coordination and
everything that's very cool
oh i know what i had wrong okay now i should be able to
yeah i'm gonna i have had eye coordination while i have it right and then later on
it's it could easily just as well go so that's better yeah
this is let's see i really don't have this drawn down the right way so i'm
gonna pan it over to you and then get it okay situated on my loom here yeah i've got a couple more
rows and then i'm going to measure to see what i've done
laughs you can tell we're serious right now i know super melee angels are not talking
serious whoa so what what's something that you're working on currently like what's the
next big jewel project oh my heck well let's see
um what is the next big jewel project
okay so that's five inches usually so my wrist is six
so it looks like i might have to do a couple more rows um [Music] well i've been really configuring new um
i just i just added a spool of wildfire to
um to the large wisdom warrior to make it a
complete beading system oh really um so that's been that felt
really good because i want people to have everything they would need
we just designed an incredibly gorgeous hat band for our next workshop
which has a few spots left but it is to die for and so i'm really
excited about that it's 13 or 14 beads across and then 20
22 inches um long wow yeah so it's it's um and six
different seed bead colors so that's really
going to be a lot of fun and then i'm brainstorming my june
project with you um so i've been i've been dreaming about
an idea i i'm sketching it out in my mind
and so i need to after this then start to
start to make it you know start to play around and have it come together
yeah and uh yeah so just a lot you know there's just so many moving parts to um
all of this and it never really ends [Laughter] which is fine i agree which is awesome
it's it's like such fun stuff in the works yes a lot of fun stuff we kind of were
able to make it happen yeah with really great people and um
trying to get some ebooks done and and uh yeah and then just really trying
to do some outdoor things i went to palm springs three times um to visit my
friend and i really love love love it there i just did a four mile hike this
past sunday with my other friend and we hiked to a waterfall
get a balance which is hard and you know that
yes and um but you know it's important
well and speaking of the june workshop i hope you are going to come join us because
i've got nine kids that i'm teaching throughout that week and it
doesn't require registration or anything um crazy you can just
grab a kit from silversilkonline.com and then there are times
um there for the information of when the actual workshop is happening
which is in the third week of june i believe
and plenty of time to still grab a kit if you're wanting one and jules and i are
gonna do something magical together but i decided to call this one the
choose your own adventure workshop because yeah well yeah i i didn't want it to be
super like formal and like some people can attend some people can't uh yeah and
some people are you know they just have a um expected budget that they got to stay on
and i totally respect and understand that so why not just break out the kits into
individual kits and then they can you know grab whatever they want whatever project that they want to make and
you could choose to do one you could choose to do all of them the workshop is free to attend for everybody okay um so
it's just it's an all-inclusive workshop just very cool including everybody and
including you my friend of course spotlighted in the middle of the week so
yeah [Laughter] what do we do with that put her in the middle put her
[Laughter] everyone needs to see jewels everyone put her in the middle
all right i'm gonna see where i'm at again here let's see while
you're doing that i'm going to quickly go through okay okay findings here so uh one thing i i
love to use are my silver silk findings um yes they come in different sizes too
this one's called the triple strand end cap which has three channels that you fit silver silk into
particularly the capture or perlesque chain and to crimp it all you do is place it
into the channels and then just kind of squeeze it down with some wide nose pliers
um first of all i haven't really given my triple strand end caps much love so i'm gonna do that
today i'm going to open it up just ever so
slightly because it's a little closed right now so i'm just putting in my
um chain nose pliers in the nose of it and pulling against the plier handles and out so
that my end cap is just opened up probably a millimeter or two so that's
kind of ready to be crimped what i'm gonna do is gather my ends here
um one quick trick that you can do to make life easier is to grab some wire
and i'm gonna do that with my craft wire and use that as a
basically like a third arm to like hold all this together so what you can do is take some craft wire and i have a 20
gauge wire here it doesn't really matter the gauge um or the excuse me
the gauge doesn't matter a whole lot the idea here is that just you're using it to align
and keep everything in place as you um work to use the triple strand end cap so
from where my wire is i'm actually just going to trim it a couple of the beads of the ball chain
up from it and you can be pretty methodical and
kind of count it out but you can kind of see that those are pretty equal um
what's great is that right now i don't have too many wire fuzzies which are little remnant bits
at the ends of the yeah i call them wire fuzzies you know when you when you cut the wire
there's going to be a little bit of stuff right from it because it's knitted you know it's it's got little
tidbits that are kind of left behind um so i like to pluck those out
um whenever i do see them just because they get in the way of crimping okay and um
take up unnecessary space so once i kind of do that
i either flick them off or pluck them off like i just did there i can use my wire to kind of keep
everything nice and together and then i can grab my end cap
and feed those end cap to feed the capture or per less chain
through the channels that i want to the triple strand in this particular scenario offers a little bit
of extra space for my beads to kind of just fit in there pretty good
um then i grab my wide nose pliers and then i can just
squeeze this to my heart's content now what i want to do or what i what i want to be careful of
because i am squeezing pretty hard is that my tool has a proper um sort of coating on
it that doesn't allow the tool to scratch my finding nice it prevents it from doing that so i
use a product called tool magic and just you know coat it set it overnight and it becomes a nice like
silicone tip there and then i can kind of squeeze to my
heart's content without having to worry about the finding being scratched once i've crimped it that's all you need
to do you don't have to have any glue or anything to to make the finding extra secure it's
it's got little teeth inside of it so that it grasped onto the ball chain
pretty good so wow that ended up being the perfect
length gorgeous thank you so i'm going to crimp this side but i'm
going to pan over to you jules yeah we'll come up to my two shot here instead of my overhead
oh my gosh look at you what
is this beautiful creation you know what i'm getting this i think i'm gonna do this
i love it it's so so so artsy is it so stinking
artsy i had it on my wrist and it's super cool but then i was like omg
you really took this to the next level friend and see it just happens
this is like that gaze it's giving me med gala vibes i'm super excited about i'm gonna to the
little chihuahuas on the end and then clip it together but i only have um
i only have two gu i can i use the i should probably i don't know if i have single holy
things single you gotta have a single strand unless you had a second strand that maybe complemented it like what if
um well it'll be in the back of my neck yeah i guess that's true
i'll send you some single strand end caps because i think that that's what that needs no it's so incredibly awesome but i'm
going to show you the original it's so unexpected too right but then geometry of the design is
just brilliant so it looks stinking pretty as a bracelet though too look at this
yes but i feel like for a bracelet it would just get in the way like for a necklace though
oh my god piece yeah so yeah
that's a cressage it's a corsage it's a beet dish massage
whoops yeah but look at this is ridiculously cool i love i see i love it in that
application yeah and now this can be oh my gosh my brain's going crazy
crazy crazy all right i'm making a bunch of these
do it i'm so excited about that
you probably wouldn't have to make it because you could probably make it a little shorter so that the focal is a little higher if you want to do that
because this is kind of hitting me right in between the girls i actually like the length because i
feel like that yeah well that length complements how big that pendant is yeah
you almost need that negative space to be able to draw the eye down a little bit more to something that is large in
weight so ridiculous okay so that was crystals that was like four
strands four strands but i love how it turns
i love how it's literally turning into like yeah like a legitimate cuff
so stinking cool all right well i'm not gonna do what i thought i was gonna do because now i'm gonna do this
you go girl i say go for it okay that's awesome so i need
i need indies i need single i don't think i have let me see what's in my stash bag no i just
have a bunch of um i just have a bunch of twos i have gold but that's not gonna look right
probably not um so i'll wait until you send me silver
okay i will yes you need silver i will send oh my god so much fun
um mine is not a necklace but that's okay
well if you made it a little longer it could be a choker i know i don't have a giant bead dish that i can use as a
oh my god okay i do have a clasp today which i'm proud of that [Laughter]
oh my gosh boy my brain is going
let's see this is amazing i need a i'm going to finish this little bad boy up and uh i feel
like all i have to do now is just glue the um nylon cord
at this point i think um and then trim it off later
i don't want to trim it too early because it might unravel yeah who's some chord is that
i don't know oh okay um literally i think i i got it from jewel school yeah a long time ago
and i yep i have no idea like that stuff was so awesome oh it's so great
the deal i love that they i know exactly what you're talking about and they had a deal one time where you got like a
bazillion like tons of that in a bunch of colors what the heck was it called oh
my gosh it's probably like it's not ceylon or something like that is it i
somebody's gonna tell us what it is okay if you all know like it's it's a nylon
something or another it looks like eslan there you go aslan yeah
you are whoever said that is correct yes okay robin said that way to go robin
robin's helping us today uh okay oh wait uh let's see
um wow this is amazing i'm so stoked about this what's that we have a friend here
that wants one of those buttons [Laughter]
yeah tell her mama jules is like her mind's going and i'm going to develop some
yes i hope you do because that would be awesome i am so pleased with myself today and
usually i'm so stoked wow what a bunch of i mean just can't even
really just love that this came together like this because it's so stinking cool
when did what year was that y'all when um we were doing the single ties was that
the 90s i don't think it was the 80s right was that the 90s when we would do these
single long even the girls and the guys like it was a thing you're a baby i
don't remember i i mean that that doesn't that doesn't matter you're like i was i
was in diapers in the 90s but yeah no i was um
yeah i was like well i was i was born in 86 if that gives you my my age
so i identify with the 90s is like my my time to grow up you're so cute
i was listening to the spice girls back then i still do to this day i love the spice girls
i love music i'm a total music fan like well according to your tick tock that's no
um yeah i know so i did like i might have done like six tick tocks
before i come i came on so i only taped them i didn't post them so now i'll go back and i'll be like
okay which vibe was like the best you know like which one resonates
and they're all from like rock and roll to like some you know and then some jazz and you got some pop
yeah okay okay and a little wynonna i did a little i love can't build a bridge i know
yeah i know do you cut off the remaining s-lon cord from the finished piece
um so what i would do is go back and use some um loctite glue
in there and then i probably cut it off because i don't want to cut it off right now i did a double overhand knot and it's just
holding enough to it's like i'm ready for glue
um and i'm not cutting mine off because we we have to
i need to get my um thing with these my ends from you so that i know because i'm gonna
definitely do the long tie necklace thing and perfect this
um it was going to be a bracelet but if you wanted it to be a bracelet i
let me just do this okay so this is easier to understand very small button same technique right
and then what you want to do is you want to leave a hole at the end big enough for that button
to then go through okay like that the whole though adds up a bit
of distance so you'd have to almost make your bracelet shorter right yeah so your endings on your weaved
pieces can sometimes add up to an inch so like if you have a six inch wrist you'd make a five inch bracelet
so and then i just did one of um the thingies oh yeah yeah yeah double strength so
that's that's what i was intending on doing until it found its way around my
neck and with a button that big i mean that's that's kind of a scary
large for i think a bracelet but it doesn't mean that it can't be done i think the i mean
oh yeah well why am i not surprised that's why i chose it i was like oh i'm
all in on this like i'm gonna buy an outfit and everything just to make it work but now
i'm totally gonna do now i'm gonna buy an outfit so it looks really cool as as oh my god as a necklace yes yeah you
must wear that as a necklace and then do a tick talk of it or something so i could see it and oh yeah where yeah are
you on the tick tocks i'm not but i can see it on instagram i see you all the time there yeah i do
